How do you know where to look, must be on a battlefield, also why did the armys just leave that stuff sitting around.

Its not so easy to find relics like these. 1: You need to search for a place that its been a war, like some special field. And then you travel there with Metal Detector, Shovels, And some friends (to help diggin) and hope that you will find awsome relics.

Well world war II was really big and its not so easy to search in the whole world to pick upp all the old weapons after the war. So its been forgotten there instead.
