I bought this system 4 days ago, it works superb. First thing I did when I brought it back home. Dismantled the HDD drive and mount up my Corsair Force GT SDD. It's awesome!!! I've given away my old Lenovo U460. This thing is hardy, I can't wait for my U460 to break before getting this.

Just ordered one over the boxing day sale, then read a lot of internet forums filled with hordes of unsatisfied customers dealing with poor shipping. Hope it doesn't happen to me. My status said it would ship yesterday but it hasn't.

i7 +8GB ram + GT 555M = Lenovo Ideapad Y570...the rest of the laptops within this price range have GT 540M at best (which is total crap compared to this one) and just 4GB ram ...Lenovo is a great brand and really live up to their words...Much potential in a little machine.

@oberonson18 lenovo bro, its better, just remember to clean the dust .. my Y460 hit 80 when it was dusty, i took it apart (real easy) and cleaned the fan holes.. it dropped back..

You also should look up the problems with the rapiddrive.exe people have had because of the hybrid drive system.

Other than the boot time the system works great.

guys I have purchased this laptop last week and believe me this is the worst laptop i ever seen. I wasted my hard earned $600 on this. Among many worse things in this laptop there is one in particular to mention. The screen/display is NOT LCD/LED. In fact, you can count each pixel on the screen. This makes the screen very blur. (remember the display in cell phones in 2000).

Please don't buy this crap Chinese product! pay few dollars extra and get HP/Dell/Sony etc.

@zephster07 No i didn't return it. The screen really satisfies my needs... it's quite portable actually. I would recomend the 14 inch only because the pixel density is higher and it is smaller and easier on the back, I persoanlly play Mass Effect 2 which runs smoothly and Crysis (25-30 FPS without FRAPS).
