Baseball is the dumbest game ever. The whole point of the first portion of the game, the pitch, is to stop the action from happening. Maybe that takes skill, maybe it's the toughest thing to do in all of sports. This doesn't change the fact that it's boring.

But baseball fans dont only see the game for the action. They appreciate the game and its beauty. The sights, the sounds, the smells. i personally think the game is beautiful and fun to play and watch. So yes it can be boring but its definatley not a dumb game.

@silverstag67 And yes, you are correct. The highlights of all my summers come from going to Yankee and Met games (im a Met fan mostly but I'll go see any team). Theres nothing like going to a baseball game. To be in the same stadium as 40,000-50,000 other people there cheering on the same team as you, it gives off an incredible energy which is unexplainable. The sights of the beautiful field, smell of the fresh grass, sounds of the bat hitting the ball.. yeah, I love baseball :)

@FasTtortoise Truth be told, we need a Japanese baseball channel. player hits a single but doesn't go back to the base, they wait off the base for a lackadaisical player to screw up and they can steal a base and even they they are still waiting. Every person is fast even first basemen and catchers and is waiting to steal a base. Focus is more on getting the bat on the ball, not homeruns so more balls are in play. If EVERYONE saw Japanese baseball, we'd have more fans and 100k capacity stadiums.
