Yes! Although they sound great on whatever they play on, there was something special about the sound they had back then with the Pearls. When tuned well, they are by far my favorite drums.

they just didnt project like the yamahas and premieres did... depends on tuning, clarity of performance, sure... but also the cut.

is there any of these in existence, and where can i find them, other than buying the newer dvd's, which i hear has percussion judge tapes on them.
