Also, as already stated, AKC has been around for well over 100 years, and if the breed you have isn't already accepted, it probably either shouldn't be, or just hasn't been looked at seriously enough.

@shellylanette ear cropping is for looks and also if ur dog has bad ear faults get them cropped and they count it against u. i didnt win my last comp but i did get points on my 2 dogs. there was over 100 dogs in that comp. they dont require its by choose.

If AKC does't accept the breed you love, then petition it to happen. AKC has let many new breeds come in. If you want to truly roll with the big dogs, you should realize all your mini club stuff is fun and all, but the AKC is serious, and has been around since 1884, that's 100 years on your club.
