I am sorry you feel that way. I am a native myself. I do think that we can never limit how God works. It is not religion that is being brought to the tribes but a relationship with a Peace Child to make those new converts bloom and bring the Peace Child to the neighboring tribes. I have seen this work in my life.
currently this powerful story has no meaning and value to the native. the world has changed a lot since then and is changing very rapidly. maybe still good story for the missionaries but definitely not for the native. We need a new approach to help these people today ..........Not Religion.
This is a powerful story BUT Missionaries who were involved at this event should have taking the peace child and other children from this tribe to America or Australia to be educated so that they could go back one day and help their people to answer some of the BIG challenging questions bring about by this modern 21th century world.
