Even though this scene is touching, it would've been so much better if he was more emotional and actually said "would you marry me?". Instead of putting a ring on her finger. I wish they got married in the anime! I shouldn't complain though, Darien isn't an emotional type. I was hoping he'd be more sad to go, but he seemed keen to just leave. So that's why I'm not all keen on this scene. And besides, if he loved her, he should find any way to contact her! That's what I think anyway! :/.
@vintagerosenz i agree with you on the getting married in the anime part, but thats just his personalty and i believe that deep inside he wanted to show more emotion but then Serena/Usagi would cry even more than she did. probably he knew she would cry anyways and tried to to keep his composer. that just my opinion
@vintagerosenz he couldn't contact her cause he got killed in the same episode...galaxia killed him (the yellow lightening thing that crashed/burst7whatever in his plane), but that would be reveleade few episodes till the end (maybe 1-2....) but i'm not spoiling any more you watch it on the net and see ;)

Seems like a bad excuse to put Seiya and Usagi together without Mamoru around. Mamoru isn't dumb enough to leave and Usagi isn't dumb enough to believe he would never get in contact with her at all.
It would of been so much better in English cuz I hate reading the subtitles. Plus I left off on episode 135 cuz that's were the English one ends and they haven't posted any new ones :(
@yobis22, you said it. This is such an emotional season that I just know that people in the English world will love it. Even if there are some mature themes in this season, someone has to dub this. It would be an amazing opportunity to see Serena and Darien in this season in English (sorry, I'm used to the dub names).

Besides, they would most likely wait until Usagi graduated high school (like they did in the manga; since the manga stated Usagi became queen at 21 and Mamoru became King; and Usagi gave birth to ChibiUsa that same year. She was most likely coronated at her wedding, since official artworks of Usagi at her wedding show her with the crown and birthmark.
@lotusflower281 Because in the manga it was an engagement ring and he says the words "Usako/Bunny will you marry me?" This is why Naoko disliked the anime and especially this season because things were not proper to the manga, things were changed unnecessarily. I'd bet any amount of money if she had been allowed to be more involved with productions he would've said "will you marry me" and this wouldn't be a discussion.
@Karimoon1 Too bad they didn't involve her more in productions, that would have been better. I find when things are translated across cultures and languages, that the meaning changes slightly. But I think the general spirit of it is still there, in a way.
@Carthrine327 From what I hear this was basically the way Mamoru proposed to her in the manga. They just sorted out the details later about waiting until she was finished with school and so forth. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm not 100% sure on that.

@2011stepha Well to be fair, the series never got cancelled. Toei, Cloverway and whoever else who had rights to air it in North America didn't air sailor stars in English dub because too much was "inappropriate" for the audience range. So Sailor Stars never made it to our shores. For the english dub, the series "ended" with Super S.
@sekkyo If they had the rights to Stars but chose not to dub it because of the controversy over the gender of the Starlights, then why not dub the early episodes of Stars, which wrap up the Nehelenia story arc?
Such a shame to dub all of SuperS into English but not complete the Nehelenia arc. Especially because those were some GREAT episodes and we got to see some unusual teammates (Mercury and Uranus working together, Venus/Pluto, and Mars/Neptune. love how they put fire + water together)

This is why Naoko disliked the anime and especially this season because things were not proper to the manga, things were changed unnecessarily. I'd bet any amount of money if she had been allowed to be more involved with productions he would've said "will you marry me" and this wouldn't be a discussion.

@Karimoon1 Too bad they didn't involve her more in productions, that would have been better. I find when things are translated across cultures and languages, that the meaning changes slightly. But I think the general spirit of it is still there, in a way.

@Carthrine327 From what I hear this was basically the way Mamoru proposed to her in the manga. They just sorted out the details later about waiting until she was finished with school and so forth. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm not 100% sure on that.

@2011stepha Well to be fair, the series never got cancelled. Toei, Cloverway and whoever else who had rights to air it in North America didn't air sailor stars in English dub because too much was "inappropriate" for the audience range. So Sailor Stars never made it to our shores. For the english dub, the series "ended" with Super S.

@sekkyo If they had the rights to Stars but chose not to dub it because of the controversy over the gender of the Starlights, then why not dub the early episodes of Stars, which wrap up the Nehelenia story arc?
Such a shame to dub all of SuperS into English but not complete the Nehelenia arc. Especially because those were some GREAT episodes and we got to see some unusual teammates (Mercury and Uranus working together, Venus/Pluto, and Mars/Neptune. love how they put fire + water together)

well, umm, its kinda hard to explain.... okay so you know how if in the third and fourth season if their dream mirror or (i forget what it was called) is stolen from them, they sort of like faint, or die in a kind of way..... well that happend to darien, but in the end it was returned, so he was still alive and goes back to serena. she does fall for seiya but goes with darien in the end....... its along the line of that... if im wrong in any parts someone please correct me

@Atea1793 Actually, it is an engagement ring. The manga stated this more briefly, because they showed the wedding (which happened a few years after StarS; they didn't marry right away, Usagi needed to complete high school) and it was implied more clearly. But yes, it is very romantic!
