  • Unforgettable

  • In the early 1990's I and Bob Sawyer (now Cowboy Bob) had a show here in Memphis called the Matthews/Sawyer More Than Music Show...We had Todd on the show before Anyone knew his name....I tell you, he IS the real deal...... even way back then he was barefooted and wearing old jeans.......

  • snider is king

  • 5 years ago....And he still has the same hat. :) And 'celebrities' now a days go shopping for new accesories every day. Gotta love Todd.

  • In love with Todd Snider!!!! ;}

  • to jayko910 Maybe so re the daily planet but I bet he's seen a whole lot of great little bars by now in his career - we will like to think so wont we?

  • I'm related to Todd.

  • @carnypimp no your not

  • @XxMotleyMattXx I'm sure not we only have the same family members in Ohio. My granfather is directly related to him then again I don't tak to my Snider side of the family at all. I know we are related because my aunt braggs about it.

  • @carnypimp Todds brother used to be married to my sister. I never go the chance to meet him tho.

  • @XxMotleyMattXx Well that is cool. I thought about it considering the fact I never saw him. I have not seen my granfather since 1985 yeah it is stupid for me to even say anything. You are lucky and this music is great.

  • @muzweli13 your shit.

  • Wish I heard of him sooner!

  • The Daily Planet was a great little bar - a juke joint

  • @1after909no9 "WAS a great little bar..." what happened to it? Think that's the inspiration for 'Moondawg's Tavern"?

  • Why didn't he play beerun?

  • Todd is awesome - see him live!!

  • I first saw Todd open for Buffet on the Fruitcakes tour and have been a fan ever since. He is great live.

  • Great Songwriter with a Unique voice and a very loyal fan base. Like he said on Moondawg's Taveren: Tales from the road to Spike, "Do you think I fucking care if I'm in tune."

  • I was lucky to catch Todd at the Granada last night. Very cool show, he gave the audience more than their money's worth. I've seen a lot of shows before and never witnessed someone working so hard for their fans. Very cool.

  • well then you should listen to susan boyle or someone from american idol if your so into refined music. that aint todds gig. he got enough fans already

  • Todd is beyond cool he is what cool is to me.....just listen to his shit.....he writes songs about his life his friends his heros.....the guys a walking talking hero to me

  • I couldn't agree more. Saw Todd last night with Robert Earl Keen & Bruce Robison. He stole the show! I got some serious love for this man! You gotta see him live!

  • @mbcoh my new stuff is nothing like my old stuff was

and neither one is much when compared to the show

which will not be as good as some other one you saw

so hell, me I know, I know...

    Todd is amazing live

  • Will Kimbrough on the Gretsch and Tommy Womack in the shades are phenomenally talented songwriters and performers, too. They are both in the band DADDY. So is the drummer, Paul Griffith.

  • Check out Will Kimbrough on that lead guitar!

  • he's okay, he ain't no coolanddark though.

  • Love TS, but this is why I hate some bands live.

    Uck.

  • you must be out of your mind

  • Are you serious???? Try listening to "Todd Snider-If Tomorrow Never Comes". If you don't enjoy it, stick to the bubblegum pop.

  • I've seen him walking down the street in East Nashville wearing that hat. Todd is for real.

  • he pulls off his hats almost too well especially the fedora! i wish i could be as cool as him in the fedora 'cause i love it!! but it doesn't look right on me :(

  • i hear ya man - i look like the definition of douce with hats like that - he is cool as hell.

  • I would prefer "Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues" or "D.B. Cooper"

  • Uh yeah, no. This was a tour for TDYK, not every song he's ever written.

  • He is quite the harmonicist.

  • Back in the 90's went into the local music shop where I lived, they were playing Todd Snider on the store system. I bought the album, it was Todd's first, Songs for the Daily Planet, I have bought every album of his since then, great guy, love his music. He is finally playing in the town I live, so I get to see him live.

  • No he shoulda sung Beer Run

  • being that he was there to promote his new album, well maybe not...but i'd love to hear it all day, any day...had to do shit on the devil you know...

  • The first time I saw Todd Snider I went with a friend and couldn't even remember his name when buying the ticket before the show. Needless to say, I was blown away and have tried to catch him whenever he comes through. All his songs are great. I highly recommend his live album because not only does it highlight his songwriting, but he tells lots of stories, which are a big part of the experience. Viva Todd!

  • Didn't think he'd play this... expected "Lookin' For a Job".

Just glad to see Todd on national TV with enough of this commercial crap getting all the attention.

Todd Snider is an amazing talent. All the radio stations here in Richmond play *nothing* but top-20 hit songs and years ago, a freak accident, a DJ played "Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues" and it was enough for me to rush out and buy his CD. Ever since, I've purchased every single one.

I urge people to check him out.

  • I don't think he wanted to do his best material. I don't think he wants the attention of a national media driven audence. Either that or they wouldn't let him. All the better for us so as to keep him to ourselves. I don't think I could handle not seeing Todd in a small/personal setting. Best live show around.

  • Amen.
