Honestly, i don't like this interpretation... She has a beautiful but, in my opinion, it's too fast at the begining... This is supposed to be a valse but she sings too fast for me... :)
Ho lo stesso cognome della tua nonna? Era di origine veneta, forse, come me?
Gruberova made always sure to show off with her high notes. That is her worry all the time...to make an exhibition! Sing the notes but without any emotional involvement! In other clips she makes silly face expressions, wanting to sell the "Grimasse" as Interpretation.
Its sad to compare Edita with Callas. The most amazing Coloratura of our time with the most thrilling Dramatic Coloratura of the era ... This performance lacks some vocal power although near the end sounds immaculate
probably shouldn't have taken it up that extra step...

Ciao, Giorgio.
Era di origine veneta, forse, come me?

Cosa assai rara! Ciao! Giorgio

This is half a key higher than the original.
Gruberova made always sure to show off with her high notes. That is her worry all the time...to make an exhibition! Sing the notes but without any emotional involvement! In other clips she makes silly face expressions, wanting to sell the "Grimasse" as Interpretation.

I believe..."Ms. Gruberova in French repertoire, pretty diction, better tempo than that of (emprunte?) Devia, result-perfect!

That's right, there's only one Callas!
Two totally different voices.
