@themuslimprincess salam he is just whirling out of love for his beloved creator and noble prophet pbuh. Whirling was described by maulana jallaludin rumi as an act of ibaadah and is a sufi way of getting close to allah. there is no sin but only reward from engaging in a act where u intend to attain closeness to allah. He is doing nothing wrong he is just dancing out of love. Islam is not a narrow religion, we celebrate moments of happiness in joyous ways be it by whirling o reciting qaseeda's.

@ahlesunnahwaljamaah u call urself ahlis sunnah wal jamma, wat is sunnah? u tell me? If this dancing in circles was right the prophet (s) wud tell us to do so and he wud do it himself!!! There is no proof of this in the quran or sunnah thar says u must do this or that u can if u want to therefore this is bidd'a!! Getting closer to allah (s) and worshipping him is through prayer and dhikr and many other acts that the prophet (S) has told us to do and that is in the quran NOT DANCING AROUND!

Im sure if the prophet saw this he would not be angry or upset, its jus anuda way his ummatis shw him hw much they luv him. they dance out of happiness of being his followers. Whirling is jus an extra act. its nt farz or wajib. its jus an act of love. those who whirl and dont reed namaz or quran dey will nt fynd allah. buh those who follow the prophets ways move onto mystic ways of finding their lords company. I dnt wnt 2 quite without research buh I red a sahih hadith on abu bakr where he whirled three times after hearing gud news from hazrat jibraeel. I shall inshaa allah fynd it nd shw u. Allah haq!

Ali Said: I visited the Prophet(Sall-Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam) with Jafar(Ibn Abi Talib and Zayd (Ibn Haritha). The Prophet(Sall-Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said to Zayd, "You are my freedman"(anta mawlay), whereupon Zayd began to hop on one leg (hajala) around the Prophet (Sall-Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam). The Prophet (Sall-Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam) then said to Jafar, "You resemble me in my reation and my manners" (anta ashbahta khalqi wa khuluqi), whereupon Jafar began to hop behind Zayd.

@themuslimprincess salam I came across the above hadith when finding the hadith on abu abkr and whirling. Its something dt may surpirse u and is 1 of the hadith that is used 2 justify the blessed stnding zikr ahle sunnah wal jamaah members do which is called the hadrah. enjoy!
