I had Listen Here jamming on my 8 track in my 65 Chevrolet Super Sport, on cassette in my 87 Toyota Pick up, on CD & iPod in my 07 VolksWagen...great music still to this very moment.
Saw Eddie around 1972 @ the Circle Star. He came on stage and made sounds by just manipulating his valves for about 20 minutes before he started . That was a trip

I was looking for this 15 years ago. A question, is there a CD version of the LP? Thanks to all.

@rafael10010 I've seen the CD version in the UK. Only in London, England, though. It must be available online - it's sacrilidge if it's not.

Thank you truemantiger for this beautiful post. I remember this tune from years ago, wish I could be more specific. Again, thank you.

@jplew138 you are so right. Bless you Miles Davis but Eddie Harris was tinkering around with about 5 years earlier than "Bitches Brew"...

@arevuwithme. He did have the first electric sax. First heard him play in SF in 68.
He showed off his invention during the set. It's basically a jack going from base of
the sax directly to the speaker. That night he played everything but Listen Here.
Without mentioning LH he said goodnight and left the stage. Everyone stood up
and shouted Encore! He came back and played Listen Here. We'd been had.
Great artist.
