Long time ago I saw a picture of a similar thing but it had 2 jet engines at the back for thrust. I think it was some kind of a jet gyrocopter. Anyone knows about it?

I'd try a equilateral triangle shape for the rotor hub..

This configuration will be very havy. The transmission betwenn motor and rotor is complicated.
But this is a nice idea.
