  • I'm glad Rakim came to his senses and left Dre. This shit was corny. Don't even sound like him. Rakim is great on his on.

  • wack shit homie....just quit rappin lame ass foo

  • @MsWhiteboy818

you obviously have no idea then that all the rappers you think are good even wayne tribute

    Rakim

PS i didnt listen to this really as dre try make rakim negative rap and he didnt want to

now i can see how negative

  • mc a mc and a producer a producer the way it should be

  • two pineers should of got together long time ago would of saved pac and biggs

  • Comment removed

  • sick track if your not sure that a song is dre or not just type it in google another website will say who produced it

  • This gar-bage is straight up WACK! Y'all stick to this millennium Rakim & I will stick to my Eric B. & Rakim!!!

  • that nigga whos talkin needs to shut his bitch ass mouth up when the R is flowin....

  • My bad I meant to put sik for a skate video my damn fone corrected it

  • Silver for a skate vid !!!!

  • RAKIIM'S FLOW IS NEVER OFF!!!!!!

  • REMEMBER: He's not concerned about being born-again for today's time. He's an originator, innovator whose changed hiphop so it would be foolish of him trying to compete in these times. Legends do it for the love not for the LABEL. That's like Mike Jackson adapting to an Ursher format. Man come on DAMN!!!

  • @reggiemunch calm down, no one cares...

  • JUST BLAZE ......45 KING....KEENY PARKER...KID CAPRI

SHOULD PRODUCE RAKIM....I LOVE HIS ENERGY RECORDS...

    STREET SOUNDTRACK SHYT

  • Fuck haters. This song is dope. It's Rakim. How could this be wack!!!

  • fuck j love. i want to hear rakim not some dumb ass shouting over the track.

  • Sounds more just Blaze than DRE :)

  • Dre Sampled this beat from 7l and esoteric track is cald one six

  • ANYONE KNOW THE SAMPLE USED HERE - This same beat was used by Nature on his Painkiller Album called Small Talk

  • @blacknickelson I got the original sample

  • @WarrenKoolidge You fancy sharing artist and name of song. Thx

  • @blacknickelson whats for me?

  • @WarrenKoolidge Give me your paypal account and I'll....... are you serious. What do you want money?? How about just sharing a simple titbit of information.. You came on here saying oh I got this and I got that and then you want something from me.. what do you want?? This ought to be good

  • @blacknickelson damn your so stingy

  • @WarrenKoolidge Are you fricking serious - you still never told me how much money you want...Stingy huh thats rich coming from a guy who wont type a few words unless he gets something in return, idioso

  • this is not a DRE beat.... TRUST ... ive been listening to Dr. DRE long enough to know ... so like RWJ said .... FAKE AND GAY

  • j luv go FUCK YYOUR MAMA

  • damn i never heard rakim use profanity before

  • DR dre Usaully uses piano chords as the main melody AND also his beats have a heavy bass line this one dosent sound like his gangsta beats

  • @SolotanProduction those are the only kind of beats dre's been doing in recent years so now everyone thinks thats the only kind of beats dre makes, but when he uses a sample instead of a keyboard player it doesn't sound like the typical beats with the piano etc, listen to Time, After You Die, Sosa vs State, Firm Fiasco, these don't sound like typical dre beats either, but theres more to dre beats then what you get in those fruity loops packs

  • @siwooot Yeah maby UR right cause he also work with other producers as assisstance and they have diffrent styles in producing music

  • @siwooot this ain't dre prduction.......some plastic shite

  • @siwooot no this isn't a dre beat it's obvious

  • @siwooot

Oh, these 3 beats are from him? Damn, if you COULD do that top10 list of the best producers, he would def be in it... top5... damn.

  • @SolotanProduction He typically handles the drums and lets other artists work on the chords/melodies... half the piano loops people credit to Dre were Scott Storch's work

  • MAn I loVE RAKIM old skool beats he better keep that way

  • I feel that this track has 2 much of a drag til it's damn near boring! RA still RA,but it doesn't compliment his ingredient like it should.

  • sounds like fl studio or some shit alike

  • Doesn't sound like a Dr Dre production.

  • this is poor, very poor

  • hahahaahha this ain't a dre beat , you can tell when it's dre shit, get this fake shit out of here!

  • This doesn't sound like a Dre beat...

  • @RuthIessVillain Right!

  • Ra may not be in his prime any more, but even at this level, his shit sounds better than most of the "Hit Pop" music out there today!

  • Eventhough people might not want 2 face it.This combo seems off-balanced.Judging this track it seems that RA IS OUT OF HIS ELEMENT.! He seems as if he's tryning to conform 2 what Dre wants and making his flow not flow.AS a result the product didn't materialize!

  • @menace10100 back in the day he used to switch it up and rap aggressive on some tracks and laid back on others but with his solo music he always raps laid back, i think too laid back

  • @siwooot yeah I know h used manyflows back in the day as I said i grew op on the God Mc Rakim. That's not my point. My point is now people are no payin attention to this kind of flow, new kids, or even people consumed by this new rap bull shit is not listening to this type of flow. Of course he's not commercial I know. But I know he would still like to be considered the top mc now a days and wont because of this old school feel he has to him. His time has passed

  • @menace10100 idk it might just be because he's getting older, emcee's flow slows down and changes when they get older,

  • @siwooot I FEEL YAH HOMIE BUT RA ALWAY'S STAYED THE SAME..CHECK HIS HISTORY

  • @menace10100 Rakim's newest album tells us otherwise. So what's the excuse for todays youth not listening to someone like Immortal Technique or Common?Their time sure as hell hasn't passed. If they had as much money as these big company's do,they'd be able to pay the radio stations to play their shit all day also. That's all commercial company's do.They have a certain formula that they know will sell and stick to it.Not caring about the quality of the product. To me,Rakim brings that quality.

  • @81carlos His flow is out dated! His beats are not up to the present time. Its not about the quality of his music or how intricate he raps. you must not know music. look at J-cole and Jay electronica theyre getting respect and a lot of plays on the radio and they are lyrical mcs. Rakim is considered old, his beats are old, and he talks on his tracks. get your shit right! It has nothing to do with big companies not playing him, smaller independant labels are taking over now no more excuses

  • @menace10100 You didn't answer my question about Immortal Technique and Common.Completely avoided the question. When I turn on the radio(not internet radio the REAL radio) in my car, I hear the SAME SHIT 10 TIMES a day when there's other greater artists out there who should be getting that airplay. There once was a little show called "Friday Night Flavaz" and another called "Sway and Tech".Don't know if you ever heard of them, but they were some of the best shows back in the day. That was quality.

  • @menace10100 "Get my shit right?" LOL What era are you from? It doesn't seem like you were a child of the 80's (The Golden Age) or you'd know how to show respect to the pioneers. Before the internet age and before cd's. When the music industry didn't think Hip Hop was marketable and only got airtime at night.People used to do it from the heart and not get paid ridiculous amount of money and didn't care what about the opinions of the "commercial" world were.

  • @menace10100 man tru dat i be listeing to the old shit everyday big l daddy can pun nas pac biggie mos def rakim ......

  • @menace10100 nas does rakim better than rakim. he may think this, too, and gave it up.

  • @menace10100 intelligent analysis menace - my ears identify vintage style flow in a modern era i.e the revolutionizing of beats & musical arrangement. Ra needs to reinvent himself to be competitive. On a personal note, even when he did The Master & 18th letter - it had that 80's sound. It had acceptance cuz rap was just evolutionizing to a different genre (again change of beats lyrical content & flows). I heard snippets of his latest album - wasn't keen on it.

  • @menace10100 Why does he have to switch it up?? He's Rakim!! He invented the word "flow" for christ sakes.

  • @EsElBarz LMAO, True.

  • @menace10100 Rakim's flow is fine. The rest of the game is wack. Real talk

  • @menace10100 I can't knock your opinion, but TRUTHFULLY his style is signature and that's why he's certified legendary GOD MC. Legends usually don't change their originality although they may add to production and the foundation of the format! To me, we all know Ra has a laid back flow, so in my opinion this track should more energetic and less bland and boring. But that's technically the producer's job cause that's the final ear that has to hear!

  • dre is bullshit, nigga wanted rakim to rap about some fake shit

  • DRake don't do it for the people, rappers now day be to cocky

  • things change so much in HipHop. I was a sample producer from the age 13 to 22. there is a talent in it. Dr dre is one of my role models in it . Think samples think Kanye West, Dre, Premo, Dj Shadow. Now because of lawsuits, I don't sample at all. Does this make my music more creative, or less? I beieve it makes me less creative. It's the reason "taste"has gone down toilet!!!

  • @luky05loser the only problem is dre has used other producers a lot to find those samples for him, warren g, daz, sam sneed, barney rubble brought him samples for his death row days, mel man bought him samples during the early 2000's

  • @luky05loser but yeah i think its a shame that style isn't as popular anymore, i prefer sampled beats over most other beats

  • @luky05loser

you are making new from others things peace.

    keep sampling

  • @luky05loser DR DRE NEVER SAMPLED ANY BEAT!

  • @LASrapper he samples all the time like every producer

  • He samples like other producers, the only difference is he uses live instruments.Thats why he has a cleaner sound.

  • @siwooot according to interviews he avoids sampling and prefers to replay samples as he has more control over the sound...and he has the money to bring in orchestras and shit :P

  • @LASrapper Dre is overrated homie.......most of that old classic shit was either sampled or produced by collabos. Why you think they been talking bout Detox for 10 years and that shit still ain't out? Shit, its probably niggaz on Detox rapping bout Kobe and Shaq and a bunch of other old shit lol. I like Dre but still.....

  • @LASrapper are you fucking retarded, the whole doggystyle/ snoop dogg first cd was all sampled of parmliment funkadelic.

  • if you chirp dre you have no knowledge about rap/hip-hop. yeah premier is dope, pretty sure doc stands for doctor.. as in doctor dre. get learned fool

  • he sounds like prodigy in this! n the beat sounds like a alchemist one!

  • honestly rakim aint nowhere near my top favorite saigon has better flow better voice better punchlines better in everyway

  • yeah dr dre is the best producer to my opinion, everywhere he get involve the songs becomes interesting.the best.

  • @happybirthdaysanta I'm glad somebody know the truth bout dre bitch ass pac said it along time ago dre aint work in yrs

  • this aint a dre beat , be serious...

  • fuck dre he's so over rated 2 good albums & everybody jumped on his dick!! dj preimer 4 life that raw shit!!!! dre dont even make beats any more hes got people doing it for him.. if it wasnt 4 the DOC on the Chronic album dre wound still be wearing lipstick........

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA he stopped wearing lipstick when he made the nwa albums lol

  • @siwooot lipstick joke is funny but that style was a part hip hop luv it or not...know your history.....next you gone say the music was all r&b records!

  • @loudsnares the other guy made the lipstick comment not me, he said for DOC on The Chronic dre would still be wearing lipstick, but dre stopped that before DOC and The Chronic, infact if it was't for dre DOC wouldn't have even had an album

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA you dont know what your talkin about man dre got way more creativity than primo, primo can lay down a track but all of his shit sounds the same, at least dre got some "funk" in his beats. and he dropped way more than 2 albums, produced like all of eminems shit, lot of 50 cents shit (only reason why he made it big), and he's still makin shit. but when it comes to creativity on beats, i gotta give it to the RZA or J Dilla (R.I.P.), 2 greatest producers ever

  • @shapooty i said he only had 2 good albums all eminems (not infinite) 50's & Gunits music is shit no one wants to hear about how many cars & bitches they got. wannabe gangsta rap aint no gangsta's rap!!! most of the production on 2001 was done by Mel-Man & interscope isnt just dre its about 200 people, so you cant say their dre beats.... primo creates his beats from scratch, throw a sample on the decks & rip it raw....... the funk is warren g.... not dre

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA fool your trippin....2 albums! u serious? What about the NWA albums? Easy-E's debut solo album? You obvously dont know what your talking about otherwise you wouldnt call Dre over rated. THAT SIMPLE. Have you ever heard of 50 Cent, The Game, Eminem, Snoop Dogg? all got there debit albums produced by Dre. He has left hid mark on so many albums its ridiculous. THat dont even count the singles he help produce that became hits.

  • @DubD2387 fuck all them poZZers the tracks wit EAZY are sweet but thats NWAcant lay it all on DRE...... you wana drop name then lets.. Jedi MInd Tricks The Roots Mos Def DEAD PREZ immortal teC rakim canibus THE 1 & ONLY BONE THUGS, then lets travel a little to the UK, TERRA FIRMA LOWKEY Geneis Elijah... now thats rap, not that FUCKING sell out shit you talking bout... ddi u know bizzy ghost writing 2 of dres new song.......... Dre day is dead, dre aint shit without the DOC.......

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA ***ONLY 2 ALBUMS,, b---WOW !!!THOSE 2RECORDS CHANGED THE GAME SON!!! MUCH RESPECT TO PREMO BUT YOUR HATE IS NOT VALID..EVERY PRODUCER IS STILL CHECKIN' FOR WHAT HE'S GONE PUT OUT.......DO YOU KNOW DRE'S WORK ETHIC? BEST BELIEVE HE'S 1OF THE BEST TO TOUCH A DRUM MACHINE...YOU SOUND STUPID ! no offense

  • @loudsnares your tripping the chronic album has fuck all dre on it rapping & all the songs on it are sampled to the mofo... drum machine what are you on about!! dre didnt make 1 drum beat on chronic... which 1 hey!! & 2001 was mostly done by done by mel-man & a gang of producers dre gets way to much created for his stuff!!! the only good stuff dre's brang out in a while is the beats on Busta Rhymes album big bang!!!!! you say dre changed the game FUCK the game.. Stoupe is a real producer!

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA they all sample, you just praised premo but premo samples all his beats including drums just like nearly every producer in hip hop. and a lot of producers use co-producers i bet your fave producers all have other people working with them on beats.

  • @siwooot Jow, can't you just remix it without the J love talk? God It's annoying...

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA fuckin hater, u kno ALL dre's shit is hott

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA Crymore, stupid santa...

  • Whenever or wherever you see a J-Love mix cd please cop it cause BIG HOMIE does his thing feel me. This mix cd is a classic if you can relate to RAKIM

  • anyone know the original sample here ???- I heard it also on Nature - Small Talk off the Pain Killer sounds better when Natuer used it.. but I also like this one

  • THIS SHIT IS WACK

  • If thats a beat dre made 4 rakim then he must of wanted rakim 2 fail because i think it SUCKS. dre can do better than that in his sleep. i thought rakim brought the fire as usual but the music didnt do it any justice. i got nothing but love 4 dre but 4 some reason it seems he never puts his all into it when he works with some1 that he didnt help get famous.

  • @ReALiTeeChEkk a lot of dre's beats have sucked, you just haven't heard them all.

  • @siwooot cats dont know or just dont get it..if a producer doesnt change his sound or elevate his beat and production structure, they become predicable and at a point boring. this is why swizz, pete rock, timbaland etc... changed up. there are tracks produced by cats and u would be amazed they did it. for example, rza...hes done alot of tracks u would be surprised he did

  • @siwooot create one better hater

  • @okocharuud i'm not a hater, i just think his latest bests have fallen off

  • @ReALiTeeChEkk Word

  • To a man like myself that came up on the mid 80s hip hop, hearing this sounds like schlop!

Rakim and DJ Premier is the true sound of hip hop.

I like Dre too, but this does not sound like him, and really is just dull.

  • @mizuman What do you think of ra's lyricals?

  • I DON'T THINK THIS IS DRE'S BEAT SMH

  • this isn't dre's best production

  • dr.dre production with rakim style of rap dont go together, rakim needs that grimey new york hardcore beat (eastcoastshit) i think he should let eric sermon make his beats, that would shake the rap industry if these two old schoolers hook up

  • @dancehallmann I agree fam. The Legend Rakim having to go west Coast to make noise? New York producers should be ashamed fam.

  • nothing like dre

  • i'm down with dre's shit for 22 years now...but fuck dre for trying 2 change THE LEGEND!

  • @Funkdogg

This ain't Dre dude.. So fuck you for this blasphemy, I mean, "fuck Dre", better shut the hell up.

  • If yall in2 that REAL HIP HOP then youtube "Costa aka Capo" and listen to "gov'z greazy".

  • Ya I was kinda wondering why he was swearing

Rakims lyrics are so intricate and complex and detailed that there is no space for swear words

  • @dcos510 U know!!!

  • its whack yall nvr put guru on your top ten he has the real life lyrics

  • Thats what i said, that dont sound like dre!!

  • @FameOg you'd be surprised, a lot of dre's beats sound the same but he's made beats that sound completely different too,

  • @siwoot, im a long time dre fan so there cant be much i havent heard of his. i didnt say i never heard a bad beat from him, i was just shocked at how bad i thought this one was. Most of what ive heard from him is good in my opinion, but not all.

  • Greatest Mc of all time !!!!

  • Decent list, I would say it could use Black Thought of the Roots on there.

    Cheers

  • I might be wrong but i think the beat is produced by 7L, just slowed down

  • really? maybe, maybe its a different beat, but in the song Rakim says:

"Dre is the only Doctor i know who performs miracles",

also on the track listing it said it was produced by dre

  • Too many thug turned rappers and rappers turned thugs on the radio just speaking death to our ears. Rakim would rather rap life to a person than death.

  • i think its the other way around.

theres alot of RNB stlye rappers on the radio these days, using auto-tune and rapping about girls. for example people like: Drake, The Dream, T-Pain, Faboulos,

    etc. raps about those things.

that makes Hip Hop sound soft and makes them sound like sissy pop singers. whatever happend to trying to sound hardcore?

  • I feel what you're saying n I have no argument there. However there are still those that think hip hop is all about rapping about killing and selling dope, especially these underground guys here in Detroit. They act like the shit is cool and they all sound the same to me. Rappers used to have their own style that seperated them from others. Rakim was one of them. Nas is another.

  • yeah i know what you're saying, i sick of corny artists that try to act hard or people thinking hip hop is about being a gangsta etc

  • @desertfox2k3 Your 110 % right man ... 1. RAKIM 2. Big Pun 3. Nas 4. Biggie 5. Tupac 6. Eminem 7. Jay - Z 8. KRS - One 9. Redman 10. Vinnie Paz Just my top 10 personal oppinion..
  • @IBrokeNHunteRI No G Rap, Kane, LL.

  • i'll switch up the top five but your' list is better than any other one i've seen.(except vinnie and red)

  • Redman And Vinnie pazz i just like there style ALOT that's why i chose them

    @ Mr Ks47

About no G rap, Kane, LL ... I just can't put all the great rappers in a topt 10 man or else i can say where is black thought, Big L ... but they are all in my top 20 definetly

    Peace out!

  • @IBrokeNHunteRI 1.Rakim 2.Kool G Rap 3.Nas 4.Jay-Z 5.Krs-One 6.Ghostface Killah 7.Biggie Smalls 8.Raekwon 9.Jadakiss 10.GZA
  • 4.) Big L

  • @thatoldbackintheday you can't really make a top 10 without tupac in there at some point...

  • are you trying to say fabulous can't rap? thats silly

  • @cookiesncreme99

Fabolous is one of the best around plus he's punchlines are insane

  • how u on a rakim page talkin about fabolous is one of the best around fab sucks this is why hip hop is so bad the shit is being told there cookies and u fools is eating it! Joell Ortiz Would Crush Fabolous Most Underground MC's would best around means u kill the main and underground like Pun,Or Biggie

  • First of all I was getting my point across, secondly you saying Fab sucks you're stupid. You just saying that cos he makes mainstream songs but you overlook his talent. Just because he has mainstream songs dont mean he cant be lyrical Wtf you smoking? I even doubt you heard a Fab freestyle.

  • @TMGPREZ Yea but Fab is ok as far as rapping goes, he jus do a lot of bullshit songs nowadays but Id say a Joell Ortiz/Fab battle would be hot.

  • blakricanwitlocs you sound like one of those stupid ass niggas that caught AIDS from eating shit crumbs from another niggas ass hairs.

  • this aint got shit to do with allah which i dont believe exist. he may be a muslim but i love his flow. i dont even like muslims because of there reputatation and my fam trying to push it on me. im a christian. but mike tyson is one too and i love him because he reminds me so much me. A TIMEBOMB WAITING TO GO OFF.

  • Brainwashed cocksucker.

  • nice nice

  • this cant be DRE are you serious ?? this is one of his worst beat..you mean to tell for the greatest rapper ..you give him the worst beat...this is bullshit!!!!!

  • dre's had worse imo,

  • word nyg.

  • SHITS WACK KID!!!!!!!! WORD UP

  • man this beat is terrible.

  • i wish it would have came out mannn dr dre n rakim was a dream team

  • Stop talkin' on trax, man. Just let it go. Post that hot shit, or don't. I don't care if J-Love is in the house.

  • @thaloudest LMAOROFL... I hear that shit every 10 seconds in this mix xD

  • and for the record i never wanna see eminem n rakim compared in a sentence like that again it ain't even a question

  • i 2nd that. no competition.

  • fuck yeah this shit is dope this is some real ass shit don't get much better than this

  • this is the hiphop i love man. i love the orgins of hiphop and the god is back

  • nice!

  • ah i remember this mixtape this shit was hot j-love is one of the hottest mixtape dj's i've heard

  • he's aight, but he should STFU on these tracks... I remember him killing a divine Big L track

    peace

  • can we have a downlink link for the rakim x dr. dre tracks please?

  • i think there's only been two of the tracks, they're both on this mixtape its not hard to find

  • Look i might as well put my input on the Eminem Rakim thing since i am a MC check the page if you doubt it!

but anyway, I think the one who doing the music and not selling out is Rakim. no matter if he's black or white. Eminem is skilled but he gave in to the industry instead of rebelling like he used to and some of the hardcore hip hop fans saw it. Rakim gets my vote, he has never gave in to the industry and he is the greatest MC of ALL time.

  • amen, Eminem is good but started making too many immature songs on his later albums imo, his early days he was raw and that's the Eminem i'd rather hear

  • "last albums" Encore was the most mature album of all eminem's albums

relapse was a come back to the spirit of Slim shady lp
