Wish I knew what the heck you were actually aiming for. >.> Why would you not post the finished product either at the beginning or the end of the video? (as other people have stated) What's the point then?
Watched several videos about painting on water, learning different things in each. Wanting to make beautiful one-of-a-kind gifts for special events coming up. Thankyou!
they didn't show the results cause it's a preview and they want you to buy the full movie off their website, i discovered that when i first started watching their videos on here lol
you know, it would be nice to know what it is that shes using. is that paint or ink? Water or alcohol? soap? Come on, this is cool, but we can't tell what it is, or what the end result is.
@jbarnes0410 Yeah no shit sherlock. What kind of inks and what is the clear liquid? Do you have any idea how many kinds of inks there are in the world of art?
@dancingzira There is a marbling solution that I bet she used. The mixture will thicken the water and hold the color on top. You can purchase it at the art supply store. The color that we used was tempera, but I am sure acrylic would do the same thing.
@dancingzira This seems like the process called suminigashi. Usually, you just use normal water, and ink. (Usually sumi ink is used.) The end result is simply the design on the paper. :3
@dancingzira With her using bamboo brushes, I assume it's ink she's using, and not paint, especially seeing the consistency of the ink. It is more ink-like rather than paint-like. Also, with the ink staying so close to itself, i'm pretty sure she's using alcohol. I've put ink in water, and it does not give the same effect. Another way you could get that same effect using water rather than alcohol is by, instead of ink, using an oil based paint with the consistency of ink or water.
@dancingzira its called water marbling, if you google it you will get more info. i bought a kit on ebay which comes wih inks, watercolour paper and a water conditoner to make the ink saty floating xx
@BrokenWingedDevil It is fun! Diana's so inspiring! I just watched the DVD and I can't stop playing with my inks and paints! She believes that art is natural to the human condition, not just for the elite. It's just fun, as you said.
What No Ending!....Do the video over again my dear....
