@Nascarfan3914 the drums of the dyno are powered by electric motors and they were spun until the engine was able to start. you can see the guy give the thumbs up once the engine started.

Dyno's are tire killers. Plan on scrapping whatever tires you use for dyno testing because they're a blow-out waiting to happen when you're done. Great video. Better engines.

horsepower doesnt win races,....torque wins races. jason as far as power to weight ratio's midgets are number one, not some flimsy fixed i mean formula one racecar. i plan on using that excact dyno next spring. as for the guys hearing,..he wears ear plugs.

How do you start it? Are the dyno drums powered, or is an electric starter temporarily fitted to the engine?

There is an electric motor that powers the drums. There is a switch on the wall that activitates the motor until the engine starts.

perfect snarling and snearing V8 sound, bet that pulls like a fooking train, sounds like a torqy beast. The vapor trails from the open headers look mint on a dyno pull. nice video and awesome bit of kit you got there :D

This motor had 1 race on it, but this was the first time in this car. The average ASCS sprint car motor can go 20-25 races before requiring a rebuild.

That is the vapor trail from the breather. On this day it was 95% humidity, so it really showed up well.
