@HiWay69s For leathers, and most of my corals actually, I like Kent Marine phytoplex. It comes in a 16oz bottle that lasts a while. I've bought other foods that come in tiny bottles for a lot of money and they don't seem any better. Also, because it doesn't require refrigeration, you can order it cheaply online. I don't sell food at my web store but if I did, I'd carry Kent Marine foods.---Joe
Absolutely amazing tank! unfortunately, 2nd best I've seen, only because my first favourite has sharks... but absolutely amazing! dare i ask how much?
I hate how people put down saltwater tanks because of the price, i mean im only 15 and i have a 10 gallon nano reef 2 55's , but hopefully my dad will buy a 250gallon or bigger and ill have the pleasure of seting it up , but i have to say saltwater isnt cheep , like my 10g cost over 400 and it was a cheap tank..
Man, would I love to talk to you. I have a 745-gallon tank, but not nearly as sweet as your aquarium! I have a really obnoxious Emperor Angelfish as well as a Vlamingi Tang, and they do not like coral in the tank. About the only thing the Emperor won't touch is green mushrooms that almost glow in the dark. Must be bitter . . . he tried them once and shook his head side to side like he couldn't get the bad taste out.
im sorryi dont get soft coral tanks i dont find them vary apeeling i had only soft corals for about a month then got tired of it in my opinion sps is the way to go every one likes something different though thumbs up if u agree
Hello, I have a Coralife Compact Fluorescent True Actinic Blue Light Straight Pin Base Bulb and I don't know how to take it off because I'm buying a Regular Fluorescent Bulb to replace it. It's a CF 65W True Actinic. Sorry, I don't know that much about changing these kinds of bulbs that are connected by wires instead. Please Help ASAP! Thank You.
@inon69 that's not all true. It just depends on how big it is. I have a 14 gallon nano reef that with fish/coral/rock/equipment/etc. Cost 200-300. Even still thats over the course of 3 months, and I've bought some stuff that's really expensive. You could get a 125 gallon (my next tank) for as little as 1000. Just depends on what you buy. That being said I'ma spend round about 4000 just cuz I want the very best. And just curious how big is ur freshwater and how much does it cost?
@boogerman087 you have to say though that start up in general cost a lot. a strong light and protein skimmer on a 20gal could run you a good 200 at the least, unless you buy used. RODI units are usually 120 for at least a decent one and a nice lab grade spectra pure would run you 280-400. so right off the bat without the light, powerheads, LR, LS, or even the livestock, you've already run up 320 on the minimum. Now, when you've kept tanks before and have extras, thats when setup is cheaper.
@boogerman087 I wasn't even able to do my 120 for under 1500 and I had full backing of a local club. My tank and sump were only 200$ together but raw material for stands, wiring a dedicated circuit for the tank, filling it, stocking it, and paying for equipment and upkeep. There is no way it will be cheap.
a 29 done right should cost about 750 if buying BNIB.
just wonderful, congratulations, i just added a queen anthias to my tank but he or she is not eating frozen food, I'll try live brine shrimp tomorrow, any tips?
I was told the anthias was eating at the fish store
i might be seeing wrong but it looks like you have 2 dwarf angel fish in there. looks like a coral beauty, and maybe a flame angel fish, but how did you get that to work? your not supposed to have more then one angel fish in your tank
@dca22anderson Would you please tell me how much it cost you approximately to purchase all of the neccesities to have such a wonderful tank? I am hoping to one day have one possibly this large.
@grahamyodude that whole thing probably cost up to ten thousand dollars with all the rock, coral, fish and filtration. the tank itself is probably 600
HEY , I NEED HELP I HAVE A 120 GAL. IM TRIYING TO SET IT UP , BUT I LIVE IN A BUILDING IN THE 10th floor , AND HONESTLY I DONR KNOW IF IS TO MUCH WEIGHT , AND I DONT WANT THE FLOOR TO CRACK AND BRING THE TANK DOWN TO THE 9th floor. THE BUILDING IS BASICLY NEW , IT WAS BUILD IN 2001 . THNAX !
that is incredible... this is an amazing set you have... I have a 55 gallon now, some day i'd love to go as far as 125 maybe. But wow, a 750 gallon. very nice.....
So beautiful I could cry. I'm 18 and I work at Target fulltime, my paychecks are only about 500 dollars a month. Every payday I go down to my LFS and buy more equipment. It took a long time to get all the necessary hardware before I could stock my tank. Now that I set up my metal halides the electric bill is so expensive I'm broke all the time and I can't even afford to buy food for myself. But I would rather starve than harm my corals. Do you have any tips for lowering the energy used?
People will pay $100 real dollars for non-sellable fish in a virtual aquarium. I don't know which game it is, but 100 dollars and it probably doesn't even look as good as this!
Can someone tell me what is the best way to get rid of long green algae in my tank my glass is covered and i can't seem to get rid of it. Is there any saltwater fish that will get rid of it that i can put in my 55 gallon i was thinking some type of blenny.
Só posso dizer que este aquário é incrível. É maravilhoso ver como algumas pessoas conseguem trazer um pedaço da natureza para tão perto e poder apreciar tamanha beleza todos os dias.
Did you have to reinforce your floors? If my calculations are correct that would weigh around 8000 pounds!!!! I have a 210 gallon and i know its around 2400.
