  • Forget about the music whatever happened to the mullets?

  • This music takes me back to the 80's and I miss it so much. The 80's was such a special time for me.The music was great and girls looked like girls especially in their Jordache jeans. It was an amazing time.

  • this song defines my wife and my teenage relationship. You can STILL ROCK IN AMERICA

  • Yea I know this when music was kick ass and amazing and awesome

  • playing m3 this year

  • Night Ranger is still one of the few 80s rocker bands I can still stand listening to. When I went to college in my early 30s, I had to listen to some brats in the cafeteria making fun of them. I pissed me off! This is a great song, and one of my favorites from Midnight Madness, but their best album has to be Man in Motion. It has the right everything going on.

  • I think about oone girl every night and day

  • When you close your eyes do you dream about me? I wonder....

  • Oh and the 16 people that dislike this are homos.

  • Who is the guy at 1:28?

  • Coming of age...

  • The 80's rocked as well as the 70's. The 70's were better though. Jus my opinion. As I was a tenn of the 70's! You had to be there! LOL!

  • @tamarahcrawford Yes, I remember the Bee Gees rocking hard. :) Just kidding. The 70's were confusing, to me anyway.

  • Aah, the memories!

  • Nice to see how pretty the girls were back then.. not ghetto hoes that we have now... well that speaks for the difference in music of today and yesterday doesn't it.

  • the song sucks!

  • Ahhh the flyin' V guitar. Unless it comes with Guitar Hero half of the people in this country don't know what it was and how huge it was in the 80's.

  • childhood

  • The worst 4 words that some one can say about great music that is timelss is...."That is so yesterday' you either get it or you dont. Most young people have sold out and its very upsetting.

  • I was so glad i grew up in the 80;s!!!I I FEEL so bad for the kids now.

  • @Macrijs71 Why? This generation has the Internet. Growing up in the 80's meant you just had 80's music. Now the Internet lets people listen to music from any generation they want to, while still being open-minded enough to find new bands that are good, instead of living in a fantasy world where good music magically stopped existing after 2000.

  • i had the biggest crush on jack Blades when i was 12, lol he was such a cutie in the 80's

  • 0:54 - Hey get the fuck off my car while I'm scamming on this chick ....

  • wow i miss this kinda music this song brings back so many memories i was 17 years old when this came out what the hell happened to music like this music today sucks bad i miss the 80`s bad i tell ppl sometimes if u were born in the 80`s u missed it meaning they missed all of the great music and just straight up fun i wish i can turn the clock back

  • Back when MTV was AWESOME and commercial free.MTV sucks big time now.LONG LIVE ROCK!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!

  • Keep supporting good music and let others listen to it. Find people know that actually sing and support them. Real music will make a comeback!

  • brings me back to the days when i was in my recreational room listening to this on my record player just cleaning up after my rock session of lifting weights during the eighties being a member of the columbia record club.

  • In the words of Rodger Smith you know your high when Night Ranger sound good.

  • Nice hair all around! :)

  • This is most certainly my favorite song from Night Ranger! What a totally awesome song! When I listen to this song now it feels so different from being a teen. I can feel the pain in this song and can relate to every lyric. I do think about alot of lost loves, alot of my best friends, and I think about all the awesome times we had back then. All the crazy and fun times and I do dream about it all and how I miss it all so much! What a time that was then! The best of times for sure! :-) ♥

  • @thecarebearhideaway Loved your comment. I was born in 86...but I remember a some stuff from 89. Yeah, I liked the 80's, too.

  • @thetrophyone Thanks so much for such a kind comment. I just write how I feel when I listen to a song and let the memories and feelings just flow. It is awesome that you really love the 80's! I raised my daughter on the 80's and now my grandson has become quite the 80's fan too so I feel that I have done my job on this earth now! :-P Thanks again my friend! :-)

  • @thecarebearhideaway Hey, no problem. What I think I miss the most is the cartoons on Saturday Mornings and on almost every channel in the afternoon. Also, Nickelodeon had it's best kids' shows on in the 80's with "Mr. Wizard," "Eureka's Castle," etc. Lastly, from watching movies, tv shows, music videos, seeing old photos of relatives from the 80's, etc... I miss the nice clothing from then, too. I remember wearing similar stuff as a youngster in the EARLY 90's.

  • @thetrophyone Oh yeah! Me too friend! I loved waking up to Saturday Morning cartoons. The classics like Looney Tunes and Yogi Bear and stuff and then after school cartoons and programs too. Hey do you remember when they would play those educational teen movies after school? I cant remember the name of that show but I looked forward to them along with like Gilligan's Island and stuff! :-) I know what you mean about reminiscing too on everything 80's. The clothes did rock for sure!

  • @thetrophyone Dude, Honk Kong Phooey was pretty much my hero, and Sigmond and the Sea Monsters, Grape Ape, Scooby Doo (not Scrappy Doo, he's a chumpstick)... And watchin Get Smart after school, then Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley, Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Speed Racer, watching the previews for cartoons, Gillighan's Island, and Three Stooges, 6 Million Dollar Man, The A Team, Friday Night Videos, MTV, Monday Night Football, John Hughes Movies... It was all so fun!

  • 1:00 Will Ferrell !!! xD

  • Great music... hair metal and muscle cars

  • a la verga

  • I was a senior in 1984, remember those days well, still. Sadly, Nightranger totally LOST IT after this album...got into this freaky 'like X-Files' weird accoustic, emo, lost in the world sad crap...didn't even SOUND the same...

  • @MountainDweller67 WTF are you talking about? Emo, lost in the world. Try Secret of My Success and Man in Motion and tell me they are not the best band of the 80's.

  • @MountainDweller67 WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? LOL

7 Wishes, Big Life, and Man in Motion all rocked. you must have been on coke.

  • I wonder how come Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson don't get the respect they deserve, both are very very good.

  • This song always brings back high school memories. This is one of those great songs that never gets old or boring. :)

  • A very good band to see in concert. They are real musicians.

  • @321dab First time I realized the lead singer is the drummer. Singing and drumming together is very difficult. Timeless music.

  • Latricia...1984....Chickasha, Oklahoma...still remember the good times we had...

  • Very first concert I ever went to in High School back in the 80's and have seen them many times since,Met Kelly Keagy and Brad Gillis at a club in Mpls, Minnesota called the Mirage, where they played, Nice guys!!

  • The drummer looks like Will Ferrel! Lol! Great song but HORRIBLE video! So 80s!

  • @2kosher - Wow! Imagine that. A video made in the 80s that reminds someone of the 80s.

  • domestic violence..

  • great shit..just thinkin' why there isn't one fucker saying that jeff and brad were the best duo in the business???? all the best..

  • I'm ashamed to say I missed the legendary Brad Gillis when he came through EPCOT with the reszt of the band a few months ago. That would have made it worth the price to see him. His connections to Ozzy were obvious.

  • the blond in the video is hott. :)

  • BAD ASS 80s ROCK&ROLL HERE

  • what a great classic!

  • Night Ranger is awesome live seen em twice in the last 2 years and they put on a great show .

  • At the beginning, they are arguing over whose hair is more terrible...

  • Just came off about 100 million hard nights of drinkin, since this video debut, till now this shitty present! BEAT UP !!!

  • huh babygirl do you?

  • Love this song, btw at the :52 mark i keep waiting for the drummer to say "hi im will ferrell, I used to be in a band called Night Ranger" LOL

  • great band back in the day, why did they fall of the map in the mid 80's, they were there one minute the next gone.

  • They're masturbating with their guitars, Lol! Is that also the guitarist for Loverboy or were they separated at birth?

  • Man, you said it all..what ever happened to this type of music?? They give ANYONE a recording contract now-a-days..

  • What happened with this music?? why do we have to suffer with Justin Beaver?

  • @randyana SO TRUE!! 80S RULED!

  • @randyana lol so many hipster tools in YT vids for older music. Guess what? Try looking for music in places other than mainstream radio stations. You might be surprised.

The problem isn't that music sucks now, it's that dipshits like you think good bands should just fall in their laps. You only THINK music used to be better because you already know about these bands and don't try finding any new ones. Stop being such a hipster tool, it's an embarrassment.

  • @randyana

Haha, you said Beaver instead of Beiber! Right on!

  • @randyana justin beeber sucks, but so does this.

  • The woman in this video is SO GORGEOUS.

  • I think she's better off with the chimp than any of those drama-queen/mullet douches.

  • kool tune.

  • is the girl the same one from the Sister Christian video?

  • Night Ranger isn't really a hair band. They were around before that craze hit. They had long hair, but that doesn't make them a hair bad. They were not "glam" metal. Probably the first hair band was Motley Crue. Then you had Poison, Cinderella, Ratt, Warrant, White Lion, Firehouse, Winger, Def Leopard, etc. Night Ranger was more in the era of Quiet Riot and Loverboy, etc. I agree with the previous poster, hair bands should be considered from about 85-92.

  • @b1naryd1g1t5< Thank God you get it! You took the words right out of my mouth!

  • @b1naryd1g1t5 I generally agree with your comment about "hair bands" with one notable exception: Def Leppard. They formed in '78, debut album in '80 and released one of the most influential 80's rock albums in '83: Pyromania. That album was basically the template for 80's rock (not metal) that came after it: heavy, but melodic. I know they went on to become much more pop, but it's unfortunate they get labeled a "hair band" along with the likes of Poison, Firehouse, Winger, etc.

  • i had the biggest crush on Jack when i was 12 he is so cute and i love this song :)

  • I saw night ranger, journey, and foreigner in Columbus and all three were awesome!

  • I'm a 40 something dude and I recently saw Night Ranger, Quiet Riot, and Kiss in concert and the Rangers were definitely THE BEST! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Saw them live at a Journey concert here in Puerto Rico, they were the opening band and they completely stole the show. Awesome band!

  • the girl in the video is beautiful and his eyes too.... i'm in love

  • Were has the great music gone, WTF Rap is number one to most guys around my age. Why wasnt I a teen in 84

  • @EnglishRock197 i was 24 in 84 ? i dont remember it ?

  • @tommyonepercenter So was I

  • @EnglishRock197 It was awesome to be a teen in the 80's! The music was incredible!

  • I think the lead singer looks a bit like Bradley Cooper

  • Love this song! Reminds me of LISA

  • This band freaking rocked! Loved me some Night Ranger. How cool of a name is it for a guitarist? Jack Blades. Bad ass.

  • crazy how the band is all "hair" and style..yet the keyboard guy is stuck in the 70's with the "out of work pornstar beard"

  • Jeff Watson at 1:44 wearing a Loop 97.9 tshirt from Chicago!!! AWESOME!!!

  • Um....does the drummer really sing part of the chorus? He sounds exactly like Jack Blades

  • @SuperGaleford

Yes that is the drummer singing most of the song. Jack doesn't come in until the chorus. Drummer also sings Sister Christian. He and Jack can both sing.

  • this may sound silly, but i'm not used to seeing the drummer doing lead vocals... usually i see the lead guitarist singing... nice to try something different...

  • I learned about love in the back of a Ford, but that's just me.

  • "In the back of a CHEVROLET!!!" Oh yeah!!!!

  • Living in Lakewood,Ny in the early 80's....working at the mall...busting my butt all day and I couldn't wait to go out at night with my boyfriend and his cool car ! Then I ran off with a Chipendale dancer...but that is another story ! Fun times !!!!

  • @lakeladymel Did you and the Chippendale dancer live happily ever after ?

  • Cheezy video full of cliches....

  • This song came out when I was a senior in high school! It felt so good to be young - felt like yesterdayyyyyyyyyy!

  • Night Ranger can fuckin rock i saw them in concert a few weeks ago there fuckin amazing...

  • love night ranger <3 deff favorite 80s band

  • Damn Will Ferrell is beltin it out! lmao

  • She goes from being sister Christian to cleaning up after a bunch of kids and a monkey in the span of two videos! Let that be a lesson to all you young girls what too much motoring will do for you. Also when your brother passes you off to his bass player, don't mess that up.

  • 3.34 u qwaff that poof!!!

  • 6 people must not have been closing their eyes when listening.

  • Yes I Do!

  • Ive watched this video countless times since it first aired on MTV and never noticed until now he holds the drumstick in his left hand backwards....I know why its done...just never noticed it....never to old to see new shit

  • best song ever

  • If you like this, check out their new album-Somewhere in California, has same type of sound, very good

  • reminds me of my highschool bf i still think about him

  • AWWWWWWWWW the 80's......

  • I can relate here

  • Their first couple of albums were/are amazing.

  • OMG This brings back SOOO many memories...

  • Saw them when they opened for ZZ Top in the '80s and just saw them again opening for Journey. Still tight as ever! Thanks for posting vid

  • classic!

The only difference after she broke up with she's just alone.

  • @MysticPotato68 the differnce is he is a rock star and she is stuck cleaning and has a bunch of kids and is misreble lol. And id say the ape in the video is in some way a susbistute for the man she ended up with lol

  • @sprintbass True.

  • @sprintbass There's nothing more satisfying than shoving one's success into some douchebag's face... especially if it's at a high school reunion. :D

    /fsm - it's better than an orgasm

  • Amazing memories! Can not wait to see them and Journey and Foreigner this Tuesday @ the Hollywood Bowl! So pumped!

  • In OKC Sept 27th with Foreigner and Journey ROCK ON!

  • @kjbeauty its a hell of a show :)

  • I LOVE '80s!

  • i just saw them with my dad with journey and foreigner in august... they still sound just like this :)

  • I was 16 when this came out. No better time ever to live and be young and rock to music !

  • I was 1.5 yrs old when this came out.....and this is what music REALLY is....wish I was old enough to rock out at this time !!!! Fuckin Great !!!

  • "The Heavenly Kid" Great movie...

  • I went to see them in Tampa, FL two weeks ago with Journey and Foreigner. I only caught their last song due to being late…

I am headed to Vegas this week and I won’t be late. They are playing out there on Saturday at MGM. This is my Favorite Song. I was in 10th Grade when this song came out and it’s the song that was perfect for me. The line of the song that stands out “ I remember we learned about love In the back of a Chevrolet. Well it felt so good to be young Feels like yesterday" Awesome!

  • @MikebRefingBasketbal LUCKY DUCK YOU! Too see them AND Journey and Foreigner! How Cool is that! Being late sucks! lol But I Wish I could see all of 'em together! I've seen all of 'em but like you I was in about 10th grade when they became popular.

  • 80s the best

  • Rockn 80s .......nothing but the best !!!!!

  • the intro of this song just blew me away, that guitar

  • Saw these guys with my buddy in Fort Smith in 1985....good times....

  • Great song, great band...worst. video. ever.

  • Brad Gillis Awesome Guitar Player ...........

  • I always thought Jack Blades sang this song.I knew Kelly sang sister christian, but i didn't know he sang this one also.

  • @sammys70 Actually both Jack and Kelly sing lead on this song. It's Jack singing at the begining then it's Kelly singing second.

  • Drummers always look cool when they sing while they're beating the kit...but the coolest singing drummer ever was Jimmy Marinos from the Romantics...check out the vid for What I Like About You, if you don't believe me....

  • Isn't it cool to see a rock group play their instruments and they're arms aren't sleeved with tattooes? Nothing against tattoes, per se....just saying....

  • I wonder if the Chevrolet she learned about love in the back of was borrowed by Bon Jovi so that his girl could lose the keys and more than that in his backseat....baby....

  • The term hair band covers a lot of territory. Ultimately, I would definitely put them in that category, but yeah, they are more similar to Journey than Motley Crue. Thing is, Night Ranger's biggest moments came in 1983 and 1984, when bands like Journey, Styx and Foreigner were on the wane (although Foreigner's biggest album came in '85), and the metal bands were ascending. By '86, it was all Poison, Crue, Cinderella, Ratt, etc. The years of 83 and 84 were when it really started to change.

  • Would anybody call night ranger a hairband? they are great but i dont think they have the right sound.

  • @michael17415 They kinda remind me of Journey

  • @stegbar11 Yeah Exactlly! Great music just not heavy (or dirty) enough to be a hair band.

  • @michael17415 I wouldn't...actually I hate the term "hairband"..I mean Iron Maiden had long hair but I wouldn't call them a "hairband"

  • @bus25ter i think there's a difference between hair bands/hair metal and glam metal. Hair metal were the guys that rocked it like scorpions, def lep, ratt.. etc. Glam was like poison, pretty boy floyd, winger, warrant.. etc. (the guys that wore all the makeup) people don't really see a difference anymore. some bands like as you said iron maiden, metallica, megadeth, anthrax were hairy but they were just METAL. they had their own category. (kinda thrashy)

  • Take out the trash lady is HOT !

  • "felt so good to be young, feels like yesterday" Damn, I can FEEL those lyrics down to my core.

  • There are 2 versions of this vidoe, the other had alternate camera angles.

  • 0:30 Chimp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I absolutely love this band, it was my first concert ever................I think I was in 7th or 8th grade. Kelly Keagy went to my school, his mom was our lunch lady!! I still have the auto graphed T-Shirt!!

  • @audiv8q so lucky my only memory of these guys is when i was about 5 years old going to the beach all the time and my dad would play the cassette im 22 now and just recently bought the cassette on ebay :P

  • Nice guitar playing, thats the highlight for me. Nice lead.

  • Bet this is something common to millions wondering about one's past lovers and friends...

still if you are lucky, its only only idle curiosity and your happiness prevents it from being a desperate search

  • I,ve just seen these guys open up for Journey n they were so great,I,ve never seen thm before ,they truly didn,t dissapoint, especially since it was a sold out show

  • @Starchild798 where? the comcast theatre? i wanted to go...woulda been great

  • @ktrain12321 I saw thm at PNc banks arts center in holmdel ,NJ n yea, it was a sold out show,U would,ve loved it,if U went

  • this is a little different than the version on "The Greatest Hits" album.. not much.. and only those who know this song well will see the differences haha

  • Given what we're being forced to listen to these days, were there any bad bands during the 1980's? Everything sounds phenomenal to me.

  • Night Ranger Is amazing!! Love Them <3

  • somehow i think that all american got laid in the back of a chevrolet back in the 80', its a quite common memory from songs and movies hahahahaha

  • What a great group of musicians! I've loved this band for as long as I can remember. Thank you so much for posting this vid!

  • Ron Burgundy on drums!

  • Men did not look different from women when from behind in early 80's )

  • He's mad because she want give him anal.

  • "AWESOME" song. ROCK ON!!!!
