Great Horse and lovely Rider. This Horse locks up in the off side patella at
the moment of kick up (not bucking) and is so shocked at the result of the [rider]
almost falling off that it is apologetic and most sorry. The face of the Horse shows it all. Straight back to business afterwards and with no signs of sourness or planning to get the Rider again.
If you put " horse problems stifle " into Google, the first result has the vet's comment on yours and other Youtube horses that are having lameness problems that appear to be bad behavior. You'll have to scroll down - it's a long page.
Have you not seen the following link? A vet comments there that this horse is not bucking, but is kicking up to free its locked stifle. I happened on this as I am researching my own young horse's stifle lameness, which only affects him in canter.
@poolcanyon well she had a full lameness work up after this video and it turned out she had arthritic hocks... stifles were included in her lameness work up and nothing found?
@phoebeeeee Sometimes it takes more than one vet to get the right answer! My gelding once had an off and on lameness for several months. My regular vet actually injected his hocks. I got a second opinion from another vet with a great reputation for diagnosing lameness - he discovered my horse had a fractured splint bone in a foreleg! Proven by X-ray.

A silly idea realy, to presume that because you chose AND bought a horse you can demand friendship... or loyalty. Try natural horsemanship, and see if your horse thinks you are his friend.....

If you ever see this, what kind is she? She almost looks like a warmblood but I can't tell for sure. I was riding him around one day and he got pretty p***ed at something... he yanked his head down and i tried to bring his head back up... I ended up sitting back, my head nearly touching his rump. He was 18hh and bucked almost vertical 3 times one right after the other....

the same thing happened to me saturday except i didnt have my heels down so i lost my stirrups and ended up on the horse's neck before she stopped. it happens to everyone
for a sec i thought u were going over the arena fence! well sat! when i was like 7 i had a little pony who basically did a handstand, i did a somersault nd landed on my shoulders! this was the same pony who chucked me off 7 times in one hour xc schooling lol

Way to stay on! Went through that with my horse yesterday. She just wanted to go home, apparently. Irony is, I was about to turn back, but then she bucked and I had to teach her she won't get her way, and had to extend the ride. Horses :)

@rlog41 I agree, that wasn't a buck, that was a kick and crow-hop, when a horse bucks his whole back rounds and he leaps in the air, this pony's back end just went up, and that's it.
Not sure if you are aware, you are supposed to lean back, when she kicked up and threw you forward, it says just how off balance you are. Try sitting a real kick.

I think that's what happened to me when someone's horse bucked me off. Lol. Where you were off balance in the video, that's when the mare I was on bucked like that again and I flew off. :) So congrats for staying on! :D

Not to be rude, if your a beginner that is a pretty bad buck. But, my 14 year old geld I lease does that all the time, that is nothing. Try holding on when its that, plus on a trail ride, plus galloping, then we'll talk about being amazing for staying on.

i rode for a few months - 7 to be exact and it be the first 7 I have ever ridden in my life and I have had an 18 hand horse bolt on me in the first week all the way up a hill for about 3minutes AND over many knolls with which made us air born and I stayed on.... I have also been bucked 3 times which were ACTUAL bucks and not some little tiny buck such as the one in this crappy film clip....so in conclusion - anyone ANYONE could have stuck that crappy buck

Great job hanging on!! Get those heels down and you wont get pitched forward as much when she does this... Heels down and toes in were a huge problem for me, but having a horse that for a while was prone to bucking like this I learned to keep them down...

I've been bucked before i didn't fall but my girth was slightly loose and thats why he bucked so its not always the personality. It can be the tack or rider.

Great job hanging on!! Get those heels down and you wont get pitched forward as much when she does this... Heels down and toes in were a huge problem for me, but having a horse that for a while was prone to bucking like this I learned to keep them down...

I've been bucked before i didn't fall but my girth was slightly loose and thats why he bucked so its not always the personality. It can be the tack or rider.

Wow Im glad my horse cant buck that high haha, unlike everyone else saying their horse would never do that I am going to say that, mine would lmao! She has lots of energy and loves to work! She just gets soooooo excited and forgets Im there sometimes, hahah or she is like mom lets have some fun and trys to get me to go along with it like it was both our ideas. I love my horse she keeps me laughing and on my toes, literally.

ok i will give it to you that kick was pretty high, but that was nowhere near bucking hell, i ride barebacks and saddlebroncs, personally i would get rid of that english saddle and get something with swells so you dont fall off the front end
