Fantastic! Small and slim. Just what I've been looking for. I bought a Rosewill laptop backpack for my Toshiba Qosmio F755 only I was disappointed there is not room enough for my Novation X-Station 25, my favorite synthesizer/MIDI controller. Also not enough room for my Alesis Photon X25. And, it's red, the same as my Qosmio. Stylish and technological. What more could I want? Well, it would be nice if it made pancakes, waffles, and French toast. Or should I call it Freedom toast? Ha!
Great review, Thanks! I want to buy one of this for my live performances. Does this product, supports presets for saving sample-sounds from a software (e.g Logic pro, Mainstage 2). If not, can you change the track channel in the software from the keyboard?
The reason I ask this is beacuse I do not want to change the sound in my computer. I want to be able to change every sound by using press keys from the keyboard.
I know what it is. I can get my other midi controllers to do it, just not this one. My comment was that this series of videos do not contain that information.
the keys actually suck on this one... It works for programming drums or mabey a bass sound, nothing more... Buy a real controller if you want to play the keys and a korg padkontrol if you want to trigger samples. I have to set the velocity at 127 every time i use the thing and that sucks. It's either that or playing REALLY HARD on the keys.... the knobs, wheels and the fader are great but the keys.... They just suck
dancetech, rookie question, but how do i hear what has been played when it is midi only, i can only hear the sound once recorded. im not sure how to set the recording up so i can hear the sound as its played.HELP!
but i did say any prospective purchaser should try a half-action keyboard if at all possible before purchase because some people might not get on with them, especialy those who really 'play' keys
i have one since a month or so, this review (all the parts) motivated me to actually buy it. No there's one thing 'dancetech' doesn't mention in the videos: the keys dont play very well, actually the keys are hard (the springs arent good) and it is not so fun to play on it, especially fast. And i remember watching one of the review parts where you said the keys play very well.. Did my keyboard fail in the production? I dont know... Further, it is a good midi keyboard for its price !
Man i Got it and couldnt figure out how to work it cause it was a Midi controller and i dont know how to use a midi controller so i just returned it and ordered a new synthesizer

Hey mate!
Wasn't meant to be a slag, it's just all of the videos show people playing it like an instrument (that's why it has those guitar strap hooks on it.)
I have no idea how to make that happen and your YouTube stuff doesn't either!
G'day Mate!

This series of videos DOES NOT show how to play this device as an instrument. Don't waste any more time!
micklean 1 year ago
@micklean - perhaps that is because it is not an instrument, and has no onboard synth engine, and makes no sounds at all. whoops!

@dancetech Can i use this Keyboard, and make beats with FL Studio 9 ?
SBproduction28 8 months ago
@micklean dude its a synth controller, not an instrument. its an extension to a computer
