There is a glitch in the race you may want to exploit, assuming you haven't already recorded it. Have both Kongs, then take a hit just before you get to the starting line, and well your blinking, hurry and fly past it, the race will never trigger, and you get to take your time and find everything, over having to actually try to do it all, or make two trips.
