Where can I start leaning about how these devices work? I wish I had some book or something to teach me about what parts are called, how the machinery depends on each specific material, etc. I just have no idea where I can start though.
for its size, that unit has a good amout of torque at that r.p.m. I saved this video because my steam engine now has an led powered by an alternater, my video is steam engine only, will be posting new video w/alternaater soon
How hot does the piston go ? Or the pipe between piston and aerosol can ? Can i make connections tin-plated ? I mean that it doesnt melt if the metal goes too hot ?
cool vid. i have got the stuff today to build the engine but i dont really know hos to build the valves. i understand how it works, but which part will i need to the valve, can you send me some link how to build the valve? thanks
that cylinder looks like a 44. calibur bullet shell! I had the same idea. I love the idea of making a home-made steam engine without a lathe. anyway love the video!
i think what happens is that the cylinder is on a rod before the valve makin it a fulcrum. when the wheel turns, the valve on the cylinder which is really just a hole goes over either steam form the boiler or an exhaust. he plans it so it goes over the right hole at the right time to be slef sustaining
nice work i look forward to more videos from you , and your english is better than some on here

can i use a coke can instead of deo bottle??
Osmann45 3 years ago
I think it's made of too thin metal sheet. Using a deo bottle is better idea.
kinderm1 3 years ago
Okay, i think i will try, but how do you make the thing that pushed Out and In???
Osmann45 3 years ago
Do you mean about a piston? It is melt of solder alloy.
kinderm1 3 years ago
Ya piston, how you make it go out and in, not jjust contenyoing out
Osmann45 3 years ago
There are some schematics (descriptions in Polish only):
eltop'bitel'lublin'pl/modules'php?name=News&file=a rticle&sid=11 .
You can try to use Google Translate to translate it to English.
