If you listen to the audio commentary for the dvd release of the Episode 5 George Lucas says that Mace Windu is really lando. George said that the force saved windu from his fall but he lost his memory and grew out of touch with the force and he got new hands. George says watch all the movies and you never see landos hands.

completely untrue, you see lando's hand plenty of times for example when he is calling his security guards from his wrist watch and how would he be bale to carry a blaster with out hands when hes fighting off stormtroopers.
