  • nice lift man. how tall are you?

  • Nice job :)))

  • That's amazing at such a light body weight!

  • @Gplex yeah definately it was also a good rep, though next time it might be better if he uses a good squat rack

this was kinda dangerous, despite he had good controll over the weight but even the best can have acccident...

  • @ISRAELKING100

All Olympic lifters go off of squat stands with no safety pins.

  • @ISRAELKING100 It's not dangerous it's standard procedure for olympic lifters because it is easy to drop the weights when one fails.

  • very impressive

  • Strong!

  • Shit, I accidentally pressed the dislike button. How to undo?

  • veryy good squat

  • that was some sexy ass form. none of that half squat bullshit

  • im 80kg as well and just landed a 120kg squat for 7 reps im having dramas getting my arse right down but do you have any tips for getting low?

  • LMAO 5 PLATE!!!1

  • Very good, greetings from Portugal.

  • nice weight but keep your knees behind your toes when you go up

  • @freshchoresh what, thats not needed.

  • @freshchoresh Would you be so kind and tell me how to do that? I'm 6'8. There's no way on earth man unless I cut off half of mine calves

  • beast mode

  • Extremely impressive, like many others I neglected legs and now am too top heavy, currently squat 132.5kg at 78kg bodyweight compared to a max bench of 107.5kg.

  • @1ngjoxsh 130kg squat is still decent :)

  • what?? thats not 210 pounds. thats like 400 at least. if it 210 thats thats wierd cuz there i a lot of plates to be 210.

  • @Alexgotnicebody kilos genius. by your logic he weighs 80lbs too. 210 = 462lbs

  • @Alexgotnicebody KG tard

  • Real ass to grass SQ!

  • to musi byc Polak!

  • At first I thought 210lbs, I can do more than that... and then I realized it was in kg (~460 lbs)... o_O

  • LOVED that lift, good work sir

  • you are olympic weightlifter buddy? you are STRONG!

  • Looked kinda dangerous..

  • LOL love the way you dump it dude

  • Glad to see a perfect squat. :)

  • who's gonna to pick that shit up?!

    rerack..

  • @Techtoniq1

He was just getting the weights ready for my clean and jerk. I rack them for him and he puts them on the floor for me. :b

  • holy shit, you got my respect. But I will surpass you soon.

  • that's pretty legit.. good job

  • amazing squat for your size and great form. Nice high on traps and full depth with no belt or wraps. Thats how should be done. Now super low on the back super wide and barley to parallel. This type of squat builds true power/strength and athleticism.

  • Trying checking out how Mark Rippetoe teaches the squat on the Starting Strength wiki (search Google)...he'd be able to help you get more weight effectively

  • @slevn81

I'm pretty sure Rip wouldn't see anything wrong with this guy's Olympic squat. It's kind of hard to squat 3x BW if you haven't learned to squat correctly.

  • How tall is he? He looks really well built and dense for someone that is only 80kg. Perhaps he is like 5' 7"?

  • strong shit for a 77 kg guy! Nice!

  • wayy high up on your back, im surprised you didnt lean foward

  • strong dude . looks amazing. a little guy like that lifts that much.

  • glad to see no belt being used

If you never injured your back, wearing a belt adds no safety.

    * If you injure yourself while wearing a belt, the injury is more severe.

    * To get the most out of weight belts, you must lift with bad technique.

    * If you want to lift a few more pounds, wear a weight belt.

  • When performing your max lift it is ignorant to not wear a belt. If you misjudge your strength, or make one mistake in posture on a max lift you can ruin your back for life. I always wear a belt once I get to 75% of my 1RM and up.

Weight belts add safety by keeping the spine in alignment. The oblique muscles act to stabilize heavy weights, the belt allows the obliques to stabilize the spine even more when performing the valsalva maneuver because it increases intrabdominal pressure.

  • @wsman18 You do know you're not supposed to use the valsalva maneuver right?

  • Belts don't make you lift more, a suit or knee wraps certainly will, a belt? Nothing, an illusion of greatness perhaps.

  • I can tell you from experience a legitimate power lifting belt will increase most people's squats and deadlifts.

The belt increases the intramuscular tension in the abdominal area when you "push" your gut out against it.

Increased tension equals more efficient force transfer through the body to the bar. That means you lift more weight.

  • @08u235086349h08gh3 not true. A regular belt does not create the even ring tension on the abdonminal area. Using a larger thicker belt creates maximal ring tension allowing your body to remain in position during the lift.

  • nice job at that bw thats really good my max is 230 and im about 105 kg

  • good luck cleaning that off the floor

  • GOOD FORM! YOU ARE STRONG AS HELL! my back rounds a little bit when iam in the bottom position, how to fix it?

  • My method: I relax my torso as my hips get down between my ankles as I find the weight of the bar keeps my back in the right position without me having to overly strain to keep a tight back. So as your hips go down try to relax your gluets, hams and inner thigh yet keep a little tightness in your back. Then when its time to drive I feel Im in a good position to initiate the hip muscles to drive the bar. Make your first few warm up reps slow and controlled as you sit down to loosen off.

  • most of the guys i see in the gym do sissy half or even quarter squat....there's this skinny ass guy at the gym who loads up 3 plates, then procceds to lower himself 3 inches. no wonder he's still skinny

  • Wow, impressive. I started squatting 7 months ago and am up to 80kg (BW of 68kg). Ive got a long way to go, but hopefully ill end up as strong as you! How tall are you? I am 5' 8"

  • Nice squat!

  • To all u dumb ass it isn't impossible to lift that much weight I did 485 at age 17 parallel as well my fathers a personal trainer as well and thats the only way ive ever learned! Stop hatin u faggs and get yur fat asses of the couch and do somethin about til then don't comment on shit cuz u obviously dont know what hard work is!

  • "Parallel" squats that are done by HS footballers can at most be called a Quarter Squats. I've done a 210kg full squat myself, and at that time could do a 300kg (660lbs) with the shallow depth you see done by Highschoolers. You can't compare it at all.

  • Nice form

  • 210 kg is not an unusual squat for an 80 kg lifter, so i duno what all the fuss is about, anyhow im not saying its bad, in fact its extremely good, 210 kg at 80 k bodyweight is very good strength, i say well dome to this guy!!! i doubt il ever do it!

  • no wraps, knee support, squat suit, it is VERY impressive

  • it scares me when i see the bar bend it looks like its gonna snap

  • hercules

  • yo bonkfest that's some crazy squattin m8 fair play! for your weight its unbelievable. and as for glcb7 u r such a bullshitter. 16 year olds dont squat 210kg, amazing genetics or not. i reckon if u were 16 and u had only been training 6 months then u would have to weigh about 18 stone to do that kind of weight. post a video plz cuz i'd love to see it

  • 345 for 2. depending on your body WEIGHT it could be a record. Regardless of your weight though, at age 16, if you are fully squatting 463, then people would FIND you, because that is unheard of. I don't know why I'm working around the simple fact: You're lying.

  • You're lying. end of story. If I see you on TV tomorrow I'll apologize.

  • For one, you don't have it posted. For two, depending on your body weight, that would be a world record LOL. Someone with the ability to set records doesn't have to get on other people's pages and say "I did that, yeah... durrrr"

  • AND a few posts down you said "i know its hard to believe" then in response to me you said "i dont see y its so hard for u to believe." You're trippin all over your words on top of that being an already unbelievable feat. Get a vid up of you under 4 plates and a quarter each side. I bet that weight would buckle your little knees and crush you.

  • Let me guess, you're on the highschool football team and squatting with them? Just Youtube search highschool football squat if you want to see how bad your squats are, there is zero chance you did 462lbs that low at 16 unless you weigh 300 pounds.

  • Nice lift to the actual person in the video.

  • glcb7 you've lifted for six months and you squat 210 kg or 463lbs ass to grass?

  • how much do you weight? dude i just turned 21 i been lifting for 5 years but i look like johny bravo cause i never did legs and i just started doing them when u do legs does your bench get better im hopping you can asnwer me back soon thanx

  • I'm 77kg currently. Yes you really should squat. I believe it should be the bread and butter of weight training.

  • @jamalidrissi lol johny bravo

  • @jamalidrissi weakling

  • wow :D

  • I'd be curious as to what your vert would be. The ratio of your body weight to your max squat (if that's 90%) is 2.9 which is really an amazing power output for your weight.

Looking foward to your answer, thanks in advance.

  • Thats a good question though because i've never had my vert measured out. But I'd like to set the record straight that I've done 220kg max in training, so 210kg is not at all 90% of my max, but rather 95%(thats why i said approximately initially.)

  • If you ever got a chance to get a rough estimate of your standing reach and then jump up and touch as high as you can with your arm on a basketball rim you can get a really good idea. Then you can just do the subtraction from 10 feet+how far over minus your standing reach. I know this isn't your real focus, but I'd figure that this much raw power could have amazing results.

  • I appreciate your interest. You got me curious too. I'll get it measured out somehow and keep you posted.

  • Very good lifting! Why do you drop the weight behind you instead of walking it back? Just seems like a lot more work to pick all the weight off the bar when it is on the ground! Well done lifting so much at a light weight like yours!

  • True, it would have been easier taking the weights off the bar on the rack, but that was the last set of my workout haha. I think I was also too lazy to rack it back. Besides, dropping it feels good too haha

  • Good stuff!

  • how much weight was that?

  • 210kg

  • that's a pretty slow 90% lift, especially for an olylifter :)

guess your pretty good at straining

  • Yeah, it was at the end of my workout after the classic lifts, so i was pretty spent.

  • great squat for your BW, but how is 80 kg 77 kg ???

  • Thank you. I'm sitting on 80kg off season weight but i compete in the 77kg category.

  • I squat about 3 times a week. Max out one session. Squat for 3-5 reps with 80-90% on another. Front squats with 80-90% on the third

  • Never fails to amaze me...

How's your training like for the squats?
