No, the play was a very serious drama. This is part of the "Gypsy of the Year" competition where most of the B'way shows raise money for Broadway Cares./Equity Fights Aids. This performance is done at the end of the fundraiser, and the names of the shows who raised the most money are announced. Equus raised the most money out of the plays.
