There is no way to 'humanely' or 'kindly' murder an animal. It is murder because it is premature and it is unnecessary. If you must eat red meat, eat kangaroo meat instead. It is all free range and organic, they live a normal life until they are killed instantly. Hey everyone, if this makes you upset, that's good!! :) It means you are concerned and don't want this to be going on! "Well, what can I do?" You can look into going vegan of course! :) There are plenty of websites that guide you on becoming veg, vegan or reducing your consumption of meat. There are so many wonderful vegan alternatives to milk, cheese, eggs, meat ("gardein" is one of the best) and yes even beef jerky, if you want to spice up vegan dishes. We don't have to contribute to this :)

That is just sick. Downed cows are that way through malnutrition, illness and lack of veterinary care. Those yobbos with the cow prods and their fork lifts are just sick mental deficients who get a kick out of abusing creatures that cant retaliate. I kind of seen them using the fork lift to help the animals that lack strength to walk; I don't see anything wrong with helping them move around. @crazym26 I think if its ment to be you will do it. Its a personal choice. I was veg from age 10. It took me 12 years before I went vegan. Follow your intuition. Know your body and listen to it. Thats what is most important. I am vegan for many reasons. Its what resonates with me. I feel great for it. I wish you many blessing in your path of life and discovery.

But if the child eats the rabbit and plays with the apple then we are obviously meat eatters by nature. Our insides are not like that of a meat eatter. If you must eat red meat, eat kangaroo meat instead. It is all free range and organic, they live a normal life until they are killed instantly. It is also better for the environment as they emit no harmful gas as do cows. Just so you know, there is an abundance of kangaroos. They are equivalent to the deer in the US.

You can look into going vegan of course! :) There are plenty of websites that guide you on becoming veg, vegan or reducing your consumption of meat. There are so many wonderful vegan alternatives to milk, cheese, eggs, meat ("gardein" is one of the best) and yes even beef jerky, if you want to spice up vegan dishes. We don't have to contribute to this :)

Had I not grown up on a dairy farm myself, with comments of so many that have never had hands on experience with the industry, I would hate the industry too. Not all treat their animals this way. Sadly, most of the cattle shown here were healthy as far as being disease free. It appears to me that they were injured in transport. They fell, and were under other cattle during the trip. Rest would restore them, not abuse.

That is just sick. Downed cows are that way through malnutrition, illness and lack of veterinary care. I kind of seen them using the fork lift to help the animals that lack strength to walk; I don't see anything wrong with helping them move around. Its not like they are setting them on fire or shooting them for fun, so whats the big deal? For the record animals don't experience pain like humans do.. they only feel discomfort. Sure a cow can scratch her ass on barbed wire, thats cause she has thicker skin, but electrocution and being picked up by fork lifts hurts them man!! like I said, evena very old healthy cow can easily easily carry her own weight. Those weak cows are neglected.

In the short - nothing we do now is natural. We got heavily mechanized agriculture that feeds billions. We got industrialized food production, our clothing is made of fossil oils... We cant live like in the "old days". But that doesnt mean im looking for excuses - what we are doing now, we can do better.
Starting with changing the way we are mass-producing, well.. everything.

"Meat is good. Unnecessary cruelty is not." - It's sad that this is the highest rated comment. 99% of meat is factory farmed... and meat is unnecessary. I ate meat until 9 weeks ago and I all I had to do was fucking open my eyes. "Happy cows come from California"? My ass!

I mean This is terrible but I don't think people should just stop eating meat and do nothing else. Becoming a vegetarian isn't going to stop them from killing cows.

Boy, my ancestors and surely even yours eated meat. At a days of celebration, at the traditional dishes, they were possibly enjoying pig slaughters in the cold months so there were a great feasts. A good source of strength, as well as taste.
What was wrong with it back then? Nothing. What is wrong with today's situation? Economically, we eat too much meat. Ethically, we dont treat theese animals well.
Theese 2 things have to be improved. But not eating meat at all? WHY?

@HergotH01 Becuase it is not natural to eat drugged animals. back in the 'old days' the food was hunted and they ate what they needed and hunted. the animals had a happy life and where most likely full grown when killed. it sounds like to me that you just want a excuse to eat meat because you dont know how to live with out it. step back and think about what your condoling

@Misspunchable Again you dont understand my point. I am against treating the farm animals wrong. These things on the video - they are atrocities and there is nothing good or "necessary" about that. Yes, there is lot of drawbacks on todays main food production (like too big and crowded farms). When I can, i choose meat, eggs or milk from the local and possibly less "industrialized" sources (better quality and taste btw). Yea, but even our crops and agriculture is bad to the enviroment.
