I think you need to sit and give more encouragment when you feel your horse backing off. At most shows you would be disqualified for 2 refusels. You should stay at home for a bit and practice until you and you horse are ready to compete as it looks like hes not ready yet.
@samzybabie Thanks, but she isn't my horse, so I was only riding her at the shows for someone. She's a lovely pony, just needs confidence from the rider, and so we used it more for training purposes than we did to get a rosette. I know most would disqualify you, however, radfords is a lovely, friendly place and that's why we took her there a few times!
well done but seriously sit back and slow down, you'll run through a fence. I understand the course might of gone on speed but there is a line.
