Thich nhat Hanh is just a propaganda tool for the communist regime in Vietnam. A leader of anti-war movement in Vietnam war, he turned a blind eye to Hue massacre of 5,000 civilians by Vietcong in 1968 and Vietnam invasion and occupation of Cambodia in 1978. In 2005 and 2007 he returned to Vietnam to help the communist regime to improve its bad image for human rights violations and religious oppression so that Vietnam could gain permanent normal trade status with the US.
@tim666661 Actually Thich Nhat Hanh has been an advocate for human rights all his life. He was kicked out of Vietnam for criticizing the human rights violations of the communist government that took over. When he did go back to Vietnam he established a sangha there but it was destroyed by the communist government several years later. So to say that he is a propaganda tool for the communist government is absurd.
@bbfromholland i know the movement was inspired by his visit was crushed by the goverment in vitnam so i dont know what ur talking about can u prove it?1

In 2005 and 2007 Thich Nhat Hanh returned to Vietnam to help the communist regime to improve its bad image for religious oppression. In exchange, the communists promised to allow him to practice religion in Vietnam and establish Bat Nha monastery. But in September 2009, Vietnamese authorities launched a violent crackdown on his followers at the monastery, fearing his popularity among the youth could pose a threat to the communist leadership.
About 380 young monks and nuns who are followers of Buddhist leader Thich Nhat Hanh, have called on the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, to grant them temporary asylum, after they were forced to flee Bat Nha monastery and repeatedly attacked by vigilantes allegedly hired by the Vietnamese authorities. They say the government regards their leader as a threat to its authority due to his fast-growing popularity among the youth.
Thanks for developing compassion for yourself and others, brothers. I enjoy the mindful videos you make for the sangha. With your help my video turned out better. Time to breathe & walk.
I've been to plum village this summer and it truly is a brilliant place. It's great to see these young students of the dharma, I've met them both and it's wonderful to see them again here on youtube :D

Imposter Dharma! You guys are crap! I've been to Plum Village and they're brilliant, they're not fools like these guys! just because they know the songs and the word "mindfulness" (which they have abused). Take this shit off, they're an embarrassment to Plum Village! Plum Village has a practice!!!!
Actually I think you're quite mistaken sir. These guys are actually from Plum Village, and they are novice monks. Right, you can say just about anyone can learn the song and know the word mindfulness, but those songs are very meaningful. I think if you understood the songs, You wouldn't be saying such unnecessary things in your comment. No one is an embarassment to Plum Village, and we're all practicing.
Thich Nhat Hanh should go to Egypt

Thay Phap Khuyen and They Phap Nang are just as brilliant as anybody in the Sangha.
You practice mindfulness, and if you don't, then you don't. There's no abusing in between I think.
But practicing mindfulness is very important, especially being mindful towards your speech and how you affect others. eh hem. =)
