  • This and asu e nu sanka is martys best works by far

  • A masterpiece from the album that made Marty Friedman my favorite guitarist.

  • 6:18 - 6:52, Wah Solo! Yeah! :D

  • makes me really think back to the 90s

  • Amazing job.

  • @97lichking i did realize you forgot to mention that they didn't realize that you skipped 5.

  • este es buenisimo !!!

  • The most underrated virtuoso of all time, maybe not the faster, not the most technical but few guitarists are able to create beautiful melodies like Marty

  • @ter50 marty can be tecnical if he wants listen to megadeths rust in peace but otherwise i totally agree.

  • que gran tema uno de mis favoritos!

  • 2 personas realmente no saben nada música, ha de ser reGAYtoneros

  • I think the viewers lists counts more than 80 thousand because i keep on replaying or re-viewing this youtube upload of this beautiful piece of marty friedman. Very inspirational & very perspirational that i always keep on covering this piece of marty on my imaginative concert haha.. Nice Marty! Keep on inspiring us with your music.. Long live!

  • La parte más interesante para mí está en el minuto 4:59 a 5:29 es muy emotiva

  • MARTY IS GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~

  • marty is a god, this is beautiful

  • I first came to Marty Friedman's solo work while in college several years ago. I had always known that he was an amazing guitarist due to him being in Megadeth whom in my opinion had the best lineup during the "Rust in Peace Years." Then I happened upon this album and "Introduction". Let me say this. Marty Friedman will never win a guitar poll by any means, but he most certainly possesses the innate ability to create such beautiful melodies and gut wrenching solos and is extremely underrated

  • @Proghead26 Hoe may not win a MAINSTREAM guitar poll, but for Metal guitarists he is pretty popular,he HAS been in Megadeth for 10 years after all.

  • mind blowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is so magical it gives me major chills and it makes a tear come to my eye I want this song to be played at my funeral...I love you so much Marty

  • Comment removed

  • magical!

  • Incredible music crafted by a genius!!! :^)

  • Dave Mustaine is not more technical. He's more angry, not more technical.

  • Dave is not more techinical than marty fuckin dumbass

  • the cuttof at the end of the last solo was a really bad mistake, that sounds really shit.great song but that cuttof is a big let down, why? because anyone will hear that it's pasted in.

  • This is great, but i wish he didnt use such a weird sounding synth

  • the first friedman song I ever heard was I think 6 years ago I accidentally clicked his name instead of a video by Marty schwartz and well I don't listen to scwartz's stuff anymore I was completely blown away I think the song was Angel, and then I found out he was from Megadeth which was another band I was in too at the time and it is such a change from Megadeth to his solo album, Megadeth is good but it sounds restrained, solo it is so unrestrained and and beautiful I'm at a loss for words.

  • what the F happend at 6:52 cutted of solo, the transition sounds fake as hell.nice pice of music btw.

  • There' s any other synonym for this song besides miracle.

  • that solo!

  • I always listen to this song before sleeping , one of my favourites !

  • @thrashredder

so...it always takes a long time until you finally fall asleep...

  • @thrashredder Good idea :) I use to listen to this too :D !

  • waauww :) used to listen this song everyday a couple of years ago, good to hear it again :) reminds me of vacation <3

  • Best guitar Piece Ever:)

  • By this time Marty was already interested in oriental music, as it is possible to feel on this song that kinda style on the melodies. Fucking amazing talent by Marty.

  • this song moves me to tears

  • Marty rules!

  • marty is probably the best living guitarist in the world simply because he can add so much groove to all of his solos and he always adds in a lot of cool technical parts. i can't think of any other guitarists who can play like him

  • @GNRMetallica13 joe satriani;)

  • @ACEGRdz ni de coña xD

  • @angelgym1 ?

  • @ACEGRdz learns spanish

  • @angelgym1 yeah right

  • I never took the time to listen to marty now I'm glad I did...good guitar player.

  • I never took the time to listen to marty now I'm glad I did...good guitar player.

  • marty simply is one of the bests of the world nowadays

    1.- Jason Becker

    2.-Marty Friedman

    3.-Steve Vai

  • @MeTAleXGuitaR11

    Steve Vai No'3 :) Wow...

  • WTF would any one even consider comparing vai to Marty friedman???? Vai is so over rated. Marty friedman is a true legend,

  • @LipstickFlash Vai is slightly better in my opinion.

  • @Videostar1another1fa Man are you kidding vai is so over rated. marty friedman is way better IMO. i don't know why every one raves about vai? i can name heaps of way better guitarists, marty friedman, joey tefolla, joe satch, vinnie moore, al estrada, joe stump, axel rudi, kiko loureilo, theodore zaris, jason becker, olaf lenk, malmsteen. Masahiko Kuroki, paul gilbert, thumbs up for me people........

  • @Videostar1another1fa

vai is great but he ain't the guy that friedman is.friedman is less technical, way more from the heart.

  • @aryinc Yeah,of course I also prefer Marty to Vai,especially his stuff with 'Deth, but Vai is way more technically proficient,of course Friedman is way too underrated, second best neo-classic shredder in my opinion.

  • @Videostar1another1fa

offcourse that he is but even mustaine did more technical things the friedman,in megadeth dave was the tehnical player and friedman the one with the soul why? cause ''gingers have no soul'' ;Pvai did awesome things 2 but i have a best of box by vai and i really don't like some songs by him sound to much or to geeky.still great guitarist but i'd say that marty has build up a straighter image.steve looks like hes falling of a gay ship most of the time.

  • @aryinc Are you serious about Dave being more technical than Marty? Marty was infinitely more technical, have you learned how to play any of his stuff? and then compare it to the repetitive 3 note per string patterns that dave always uses? don't get me wrong, I love Dave, but saying he's more technical than Marty is like saying Bruce Lee couldn't murder Justin Beiber with his hands tied behind his back...no hard feelings I hope

  • @9erMatthew

i actually think so,same way that gilbert is more technical or petrucci is more technical.arpeggios aren't the definition of technical,i think marty did more technical things in cacophony and dragon kiss because jason forced him into that.i don't see marty do a devils island solos like poland or mustaine or a my last words solo or the tapping solos in washington is next or holy wars, they sound simpel but are filled with wide streches and tapping etc.

  • @9erMatthew

don't get me wrong, maybe mustaine did intenser stuff with his wrist then marty i'm almost sure, mustaine is peddling all the time constant speed wide stretches harmonic tapping tapping etc he has done that all while i yet have to hear any kind of harmonic coming from friedman+mustaine has a more apropriate technique because he has to he plays damn fast and don't under estimate his work the 1st few albums where that technical.marty is more alround and melodic and better.

  • @9erMatthew

tehcnical doesn't always mean better.i can't stand petrucci for most of the time while he is more technical same for satch same for vai all the same then i'd say mustaine with it's diversity and non theorethical playing above those virtuoses, the thing that made marty fit so well with megdeth becasue dave and marty where pretty alike with their out of the box yet bieutiful playing hangar 18 is a omen to that.

in a way dragon force is even more technical but is it better?.

  • @aryinc I'm aware that technical doesn't mean better, but really, I approach guitar in two ways, musical and technicality. Marty beats Dave in both of those categories as well nuances like vibrato. Better technique doesn't mean better I know this, just because Rusty Cooley, Jeff Loomis, and Chris Broderick have better technique than Marty don't make them better. Marty is a virtuoso musician and amazing player, those guys are virtuoso players, and (IMO) average musicians.

  • @9erMatthew

if you ad petrucci to that technical list then we can agree, yeah marty is better then all of them i even prefer friedman above gilbert altought i love gilbert it's work,it's allot more intresting then other virtuoses.friedman can blow many virtuoses out of the water with just 2 solos why them virtuoses need like 10 albums where of 2 good.

  • @9erMatthew

i think what i'm trying to say is more technical isn't always better technical, for instanse marty's phrases are unmatched and i like that he's like dime one of the most BS free guitarist that there is no tapped out arpeggios etc just beutifull music.mustaine eats bieber we all know that mustaine is on the good side and pretty awesome musically and that marty friedman is like petruss who decides wo goes to hevane and who goed to hell ;) or something like that.

  • Can anyone has an information about the origin of this music? who is the composer actually?

I found a great resemblance with this song: "yeni turku-yagmurun elleri". This is a Turkish band and the song is from an album released in 1988. Of course the "valley of eternity" is musically advanced but the melody is the same. I am confused.

  • @gommodor excuse me can you post this song online so i can hear it? maybe its just similar??? I think this is a original marty friedman kind regards.

  • @LipstickFlash here is the Turkish song: watch?v=4I-4JNmDmds

I would like to hear your comments, Thank You.

  • @gommodor IMO i don't think that sounds anything like it,

  • @LipstickFlash no words to say... it is obvious that some part of the main melody is identical. Thanks anyway..

  • @gommodor lol, even if it is. That was song was good though. But Marty's song is incomparable, he is ahead of anyone/anything.

  • 6:18 One of the best solos ever!!!

  • @elpanica as a matter of fact there's a video of the top 10 Marty solos... and I think that one's on the top 5 \m/♪♫♪\m/

  • I can't stop to listening this song, so beautiful melody.

  • Marty is so awesome, i think he is up there with Satriani and Vai, actually better in my opinion.

  • @topdog2328 They are a notch higher in the technical realm but in every other sense - many notches lower.

  • @1madaboutguitar lower than what? Marty?

  • @topdog2328 Yes for sure, melodically, creatively, in terms of songwriting, uniqueness and tastefulness for sure IMO

  • @1madaboutguitar oh i agree, he has such a knowledge of musical theory and actually knows how to use it

  • @1madaboutguitar i think vai plays in an other league his own league , in melody as well technicaly. some vai sounds are just too experimental to be audible by common people and that shows hisear training!

  • Best song ever made.

This is really fucking beautiful !!

    I love this song.

  • I just made the embed of this video in my blog ELEMENTO MUSICAL for full free complete album Scenes of this great guitarist. Thanks.

  • 6:20 - 6:53 ... aarrrr:)

  • 1;43 is the best pull on pull off ive ever herd.

  • the only criticism is that the synths were shitty back then. I hate the fake sounding synths.

  • this song makes me higher than weed

  • Marty Friedman has excellent technique and phrasing, If his solo works don't earn your respect then look towards Cacophony where he shreds it up along side one of the greatest, Jason Becker.

  • @digitusmedio im always glad to read a comment like that!!

  • @digitusmedio where can i get his cd's

  • @Guitarstring187 Who are you referring to, Marty or Jason? Either way I'd say ordering them online is the way to go, as I am unsure where to find them otherwise. Check Jason Becker's and Marty Friedman's official sites, as well as amazon.com.

  • It impresses me how Marty Friedman never stops or rides his fame. He is always one step ahead. Hell, look at Jason Becker! He still fights LDS and composes music! What a great piece, Valley of Eternity is in my top 10 of Marty Friedman.

  • @michiganboy10 You mean ALS?

  • @metalrules13 Yeah :/

  • Why all the hate for Kirk Hammett, people?..I remember first listening to Metallica's early stuff and being like, this lead guitarist is awesome. Of course he doesn't impress now compared to all the technical and melodic players out there but still he's one hell of a influential guitarist. The lead lines of songs like Sanitarium and Fade to Black are memorable.

  • @heero7yui its called being a good composer, he still suck on the instrument

  • lol guys, Kirk is a good player, but Dave and Marty and way better composers.

You cant say Kirk sucks because you're a Megadeth fan.

  • @TimsGVids

Actually, I think thats why they're doing it... =/

  • Definitely in Marty's top 5 solo work IMO

  • in my opinion, now kirk just got lazy and sloppy over the years because he doesnt need to prove to anyone how good or bad he plays, his resume as a musician is impressive enough just by being a member of metallica.

  • So let's just shut everyone up. You're all ignorant. Stupid. And probably know nothing about music, just say it's good, or don't listen. Not that hard, you fucking egotistical morons. Just all of you shut the fuck up. Good God.

  • this song is so beautiful its making me want to cry! MARTY YOU GOD AMONG MERE MORTALS! WERE NOT WORTHY!

  • @ricardocummins1988 no shit right? this track gets to me every fucking time

  • @EddieBrock1982 every single time man!

  • This song is perfect on every detail, Marty is a musical genious, it´s such a shame that people are wasting their times listening to disposable retarded hip hop...

    Marty Rules!!

  • why cant io come to this video and see comment of MARTY! This is an amazing song i hate it that i come here and see people argue over guitarist

  • <3 <3 <3 marty

  • marty

  • You gotta love the tone of the guitar on this song... Both Clean and Distorted...

And the part of the solo w/Wah, it's orgasmic!!!

  • Simply just beautiful.. : ' ) For some reason I think this song cries... In a good way possible.

  • FÃQUIM AUÇOME

  • metallica didnt "lose it " till after reload....right as jason newsteed left the band.

load and reload are there best albums right after and justice for all.

  • 6.19 best note ever!

  • yeah... I heard it was invented by marty! :D

  • What a beautiful track.

  • this track it has a traditional orient sound to it

  • maybe his best song ever right here

  • @toforlaw Maybe his best album ever. A musical master replaced by four chord dipshits for radio ratings? I think most people are musically ignorant. Why shouldn't they be if all they hear is music being sold as fashionable for the time? So many great players relegated to anonymity? It sticks in my craw! This is a song to remember and it will remain in my heart until my dying day. It's just beautiful.

  • @fishguru73 Dude,Marty isn't annonymous,he probably would if it wouldn't have been for Megadeth tohugh.

  • @Videostar1another1fa Marty has been solo ever since he left Megadeth. Pop music was really his passion from the start. It's worked for him somewhat in Japan but he is an unknown in the US to pop culture. I think it's best he plays to the Japanese because they love the music even if they don't understand the words. Here, people like computer generated beats with rhyming gangsters saying I fucked the bitch and I killed the cop and then did a line off they asses.

  • @fishguru73 maybe "the" best album ever ;D

  • 4:29 best wah sound ever.

  • awesome, but in 6:49 he totally change the feeling of the song, for something more like concerto.

  • Does he have an orgasm when he plays it? I came twice

  • fuck you LOL

  • The guy who said that this isn't a song is absolutely right, it's only a song if it has SINGING, otherwise it's called a PIECE not a SONG, however I believe that this PIECE is played better than any SONG ever written, and Marty Friedman is more talented than any singer could hope to be.

  • @Lunkhead2 If you play an instrument then the lead melody is the dialogue and the words can be whatever you want them to be. That's why it's called a song. Whatever is stirring in the emotion of the mode and the phrasing for it plants the words on your tongue and it's something only you know.

  • ur damn right man........

  • Your face isn't a song

  • Hey!! Hey!! Guess who this is !!

  • Definitely has a lot different structure and he noodles a bit towards the end, but still the epic parts are so powerful

  • @alfredobecht It's a song because the lyrics are in the melody and they can be whatever you want. Some people just play notes from a page, some people play technically interesting guitar riffs, and some people compose a wonderful melodies from the heart.

  • Probably one of the greatest guitar pieces ever!!!

  • you look down on Marty way too much

his stuff is all BADASS !!!

  • ATM this is my favourite song from Marty Friedman. Very passionate guitar work. Damn!

  • this song has absolutely the most passionate guitar work I have ever heard. someone prove me wrong.

  • @theartofshred Jason Becker's Altitudes is pretty passionate :D

  • @theartofshred "Escapism" by Marty Friedman is pretty killer. This song is a long, slow tease leading up to the big climax at the end. I haven't heard this in about ten years. I forgot how good it is.

  • @theartofshred Marty's solo in Tornado of Souls.

  • Scenes is by far one of the best albums ever recorded

  • its crazy how all the lead players who write music make it sooo epic like your traveling in the lord of the rings. lol same as some of the epic metal of the 80's lol its great

  • i like the part 0:00 - 8:12

  • this is an epic comment

  • megaseth is a great band, but Marty is over the top.

  • !!!

  • This album has been my nighttime chilling album since the day it came out. Awesome music to fall asleep to. That's in the best way possible lol

  • Wow. Marty Friedman - a guy who is American, speaks Japanese, and pulls Chinese influences in his music.

    Remarkable.

  • My favourite song from Scenes. Marty is so talented.

  • Oh yes!

  • goosebumbs at 3:47 and at 6:19.

  • definitely! that note at 6:19 makes my hair raise man! absolutely brillant! only marty can pull off that kind of hell raising note..damn!

  • @bigrocker182 Best parts definitly

  • Eternal

  • y are we arguing about metallica and megadeth on here!?!?!?! give me a break they are both great bands. yea metallica lost it after the black album, but they are still a great band, megadeth just happens to be better. lol.
