A beautiful tribute to the world's greatest horse. I'm finally going to the Grand National in April - and before the race - I will place a red rose and a packet of Polos on Red Rum's grave. He loved Polos! I love him!

me too i loved red rum watching him as a kid and ive not been to his grave as yet but had a picture of me next to his statue what an horse he really is i love watching all clips of him winning races and where he was brought up

the greatest horse that has evrr lived...in the world, a pure legend to win the greatest race 3 times was amazing,

proud to say i got to stroke him when he was opening a betting shop in eastham wirral.

A very nice tribute to a wonderful horse, one of my great favourites as well !

I will never ever forget that 1977 Grand National and shouting myself literally ho(a)rse as he stormed clear of Churchtown Boy to get that historic third win and I don't thick I have ever seen scenes like it on a Bristish racecourse before or since. He was adored by the British public.

My big regret is that I never saw him live - only on television - but he was very intelligent and a real gent !
