  • ¡Excelente!

  • Excelente colección de música selecta has recopilado. Felicidades!!. Saludos desde la Ciudad de México.

  • Excellent!

Now listened to three diiferent versions and each one certainly has its own unique sound and interpretation.

If I had to buy a CD, it would certainly be a difficult choice.

  • i like the stooges, the who, nirvana, sex pistols, prince, star wars, sesame st, football, orwell, the simpsons, whatever i want to like. oh, and to the moron that posted about 'man is the only species that cannot live in peace with other species', do some research mate. ants, chimps, leopards, and hundreds of other species regularly engage in inter species holocaust type stuff. we are just good at it. douche.

  • One of my Fav's stop your moaning about a man dead and gone and listen to his legacy, :D no malice in that statement

  • Perfect and wonderful.

  • There we go with another random fight on youtube. Fighting on youtube is like the special olympics. yeah there may be a "winner" but you're all still retarded!! 0_o

  • Lol, instead of appreciating the genius of Bach, and his music that points to the Transcendent Beauty in and of itself, individuals have to attack religion. The old argument, that religion is man made is fallacious. Religion is man made, why, because its created by men; why was it created by men, because its man made. What a bunch of illogical fools.

  • @robinhood1334 Actually "religion is man made" is a statement of fact. Be it true or not, I can't see the fallacy anywhere.

  • So often it doesn't pay to read what follows the presentation. There have always been two types of people: the creators and the critics. So many beautiful presentations on u-tube - and then we lift the rock and unearth the critics.

Thanks for giving us this - Ignore the negativism.

  • yeah this shit is fucken ass kicking yeah.

  • I rest my case

  • What we are listening to is ALL about the genius of J.S. Bach and NOTHING about the foibles of religion.

  • @chh5555

lol, every time i go to a bach video someone is bitching about religion. it's just people (usually midly educated people) recycling old arguments and using the internet in order to express their self regard and the fact that they spent some time in higher education.

  • @chh5555 I whole hearted agree with your comment. Its so sad that people cannot communicate at a civilized and cordial level. Believe me , education is a critical virtue that everyone aught to be blessed with in this society. Its so sad....

  • a wonderful version. thanks H.

  • Thank you Bach!

  • Beautiful and so Majestic! I just wish I could understand what they are singing.

  • Is that all we think of Christianity, is that it brought us great art? How about wisdom, charity, and law? We can say what we want, the vast majority of all charities are religiously based. Of course, we would then criticize that they only care about their collection plates, but a collection plate doesnt matter to us, unless we were making change.

Now I know why Chopin had such reverence for Bach.

  • @davids2000 Law, wisdom and charity existed before and outside Christianity. It still does, and always will. How fucking arrogant to assume that the world had none of those things without your superstitious bollocks.

Religious charities are overall some of the worst at providing for the poor and the downtrodden of this world, because so much of their money goes to proselytizing on top of admin, instead of to HELPING people.

    Dolt.

  • @Aquaria , Please go grind that axe elsewhere.

  • A QUESTION: WHO IS THE ONE WHO UNLIKED THIS MASTERPIECE???

  • @gatoulis25 Osama Bin Laden

  • @NicotinMan HE???????? PFFFFF

  • @gatoulis25 Who else.

  • Las religiones, joder, siempre distrayendo de lo que es importante! ¡A callar y a escuchar!

  • I love the drums in this piece! Even though they are simple, tympani and large drums like these can add SO much to a piece of music.

  • How can you people talk such garbage when you are listening to the most perfect music ever written. Why cant you just shut up!

  • @Bulitproof1 seriously though, this man loved the Lord, and his music is oh so possibly divinely inspired ;)

  • @janeym Citation?

Why bother asking? You don't have that, or any evidence to support divine inspiration

You know, you can forgive Bach for believing in invisible sky buddies--he did live in a time when people didn't really know about disease and nearly everyone was ruled by royalty. Why someone would cling to it when we have democracy and know that it's not humors that cause disease...well, who can account for stupid?

Just don't belittle Bach's genius to prop up your delusion.

  • @Aquaria I don't even know where to start. Bach wrote this for God, like it or not. Just stop with your folly.

  • @Bulitproof1 "Garbage" is suppressing people's speech because they don't say what you want the way you want them to. They can say it. You're not their mom, you passive-aggressive control freak.

The music isn't perfect--nothing is. Now if you'd said it's great--to you, well, that could be granted. I cannot argue with your perception of it, and I even would agree that it is great. But perfect, no.

  • Amigo HARMONICO101, este coro lleva tres trompetas, no dos como tu escribes.

    Gracias y un saludo

  • I don't see how you guys got going on religion. Bach's piece is monumental. But as to war and the Jews, I think a point could be made that there is an element of racism involved. However, as to taking over Palistine, Jews and non-Jews inhabited the land earlier on. So Jews are Palistinians. Early Palastenian pagans did human sacrafices and the likes. I am not Jewish, but I think Jewdism is a step above that.

  • In any case, do not confuse the Corruption of Man with Religion. Christianity is not a religion of War and Hate but a religion of Peace and Brotherly Love; that Evil has been done in the name of Christianity by the Corrupt does not alter the blatant messages of Christ.

  • @dolofonos Religion is corrupt, because MAN MADE IT. BTW, Christianity is a religion of hate and avarice and violence: Crusades, 30 Yrs War, the genocide agains the Cathars, the Inquisition--must we instruct yet another of you deluded fuckwits on history, since you have such a shitty grasp of it? Must we remind you of what your religion perpetrates right now: raped children, suicide cults, murder of doctors, murder of children in Africa, murder of GLBT, and &c, ad nauseum?

    Moron.

  • @Aquaria Such intellect.

  • @Aquaria All religions are manmade, but one. The Bible is the opposite of hate and avarice, The crusades have nothing to do with Jesus, they are abuse by political leaders, such as still occurs today. Have the people EVER willingly gone to war? The US civil war was full of coersion, arrests, imprisonment, fines of those who refused to fight. Go READ your history. Jesus gave a new COMMAND ,"love one another as I have loved you" Islam forbids muslims from befriending Christians. READ first.

  • @light4darkness All religions are more or less the same. If you think other religions are manmade, what kind of mental juggling are you into that makes you think yours is special?

Islam has pretty stupid laws, just like Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and so on. The only difference is whether, when and how these laws are applied. If we followed the Bible word for word we would still be stoning homosexuals.

However this has nothing to do with the incredibly beauty of Bach's music.

  • @JennyFarlopez "what kind of mental juggling are you into that makes you think yours is special?"

google "James 1:27" for the Bible's definition of religion. then google "John 8:4-11" to get your answer to your stoning statement. Are you calling stupid the law that Jesus gave "love each other as I have loved you?"

Bach has everything to do with Jesus. If evolution is correct and we have a common ancestor with apes, why are they so retarded compared to humans? Let's euthanise monkeys/apes.

  • Harnoncourt's versions of Bach's masterpiece are the best in discography! I have the old one from the '70s, I didn't know about this new one. Lovely!

  • I agree very much with you, Pseudoloic!

  • Weihnachtsoratorium!! Say anything about Christianity, but it generated so much beautiful art. It's a part of European heritage!

  • @Pseudologic

Islam also created much beauty, caligraphy, ceramic, textiles, architecture. poetry, music, gardens,

If beauty were the essence of religion then religion would be a completely fine idea. But there is so much which is not so beautiful too.

  • @mrmolinodelahoz

    They've also destroyed much.

  • @Pseudologic

...Christianity did not? All religion is a plague.

  • @egatch

Christianity has a redeeming quality: it reformed itself and let those who wish to go free (atheists) go free.

  • With the exception of the Buddists, haven´t they all destroyed much?

India- a supposedly spiritual country with bombs, wars, and terrorists, and hatred.

Buddhism, Hundiusm, Islam all forces for discord there. Judiasm also destroys but like a parasite which nourishes itself before killing off it´s host and then moving on to the next opportunity. (Madoff)

  • @mrmolinodelahoz

The terrorists in India are mostly muslim. And Madoff didn't steal money because he was a jew.

  • @mrmolinodelahoz

What good things existed during Islam's great ages did not come from itself but from Hellas, a truth admitted by Islam's own scientists and philosophers who held Hellas and Her great thinkers in such high regard.

  • In the west Hellas was the prime motor for most of everything. In the east it was China, India, Persia, although Hellas influenced much of Khmer.

But don´t leave out Egypt and Persia as creative influences on Islam, just as they too were for christianity.

there were many creative forces and they can´t all be traced down to one Adam.

  • Okay, but being a Jew certainly didn´t provide Madoff an example to follow in honest or lintegrity..

and the same story repeats over and over again for 3,000 years until now where the Jews are stealing Palestinian lands.

The worst progenator of anti-Judiasm is Judiasm and it´s egocentric self-prophising force itself.

Until Judiasm takes an introspective look at the internal forces of judiasm, history will repeat itself again and again.

They can´t escape the cycle unless they try to.

  • @mrmolinodelahoz The worst *propagator* (progenator isn't a word, moron) is anti-Semites like you. The Jewish people aren't stealing Palestinian lands--Israel is. In case you hadn't noticed, Israel is a government. Not a religion. You might as well blame Christianity for the US invading Iraq, since the US is mostly a bunch of Christians; ergo, they invaded Iraq because Christianity made them do it. That makes the biggest propagators of anti-Christianity...Christians, by you're daft logic.

  • @Pseudologic

Christian heritage in Europe is, I think, the main cause of its greatness not reached by other cultures, including mine.

Christian art and his inspirer: Jesuschrist, is an invaluable jewel must be recognized, protected and practiced.

    Greetings from Inca's Culture: Peru
