  • It's "The False Knight On The Road" - Steeleye Span (or it might just have been Tim Hart and Maddie Prior) did a more usual folky vocal version back in the day....

  • I thought "King of the Faeries" first appeared on the Táin album.

  • no, it first appeared in ancient ireland as a war song. not that i dont love the horslips vesion.

  • Yeah, it's a traditional song. It was also covered by Waylander after The Horslips. Their version is very good also, although a bit more metal.
