I heard their one song back in the late 70s as a kid , that just might be Cherchez Lafemme, it was a one off and I can't remember from where or how I caught their music, never knew their name, now many years later, technology of communication improves ridiculously and I discover a galour of their music. : )

I'm 52 and my husband and I still dance to this type of "FANTABULOUS" music.Our son is 17 and he loves it.He says that they are actualy saying something that means something but that musical score is unreal.Why can't they do something like this anymore? Yes, yes, yes. That is my favourite song off "DB Meets King Penett." I was impressed how they used an orchestra to mimic the sound of traffic, sunk low in the mix! Real artistry. What lyrics too! : "Here the air reeks of lies, and even the robins sound warlike..." Incredible music that reached its apex on their stunning third album...reissue please!!

I love them! The lead singer went to my High school in the Bronx N.Y. James Monroe. So much talent came out of the Bronx back then including rap and graffitti.
