This is perhaps the best live version of 'Memories Fade'. Heartfelt and beautiful. When I think about the way Curt and Roland play this song, now, it just doesn't bring out the same feeling. They sound as if they are covering another band. Just look out for their 2009 performance of this same song.

Although I liked their 2009 performance, I agree with you. Perhaps, in my opinion, it might be partly because now what they feel about what their parents did to them is kind of 'forgiven but not forgotten', but back then it was 'not forgiven nor forgotten at all'.. but maybe my wrong guess.
