@howie1962 Howie. u forgot that they were living in Canada. so that could mean that they got this violence behavior from there. but maybe ur so blinded 2 c that.
with this status, you know you are a GUEST.its like immigrant status in Canada. human rights isnt the biggest thing over here.
however its a good standard of living and tax free riyals make the stay more than worth it.
in return you must respect their laws and know the consequences of breaking them which are harsh by western standards you shouldnt be getting into street brawls where really anything can happen.
I saw the fight, also saw one person getting his head kicked while he was bad injuried.... who killed whom? nationalities involved? why the fight started?
Well, after searching and searching. It seems like the Syrian guy who was killed was chasing Kohail and his friends and a fight happened, and Munzer, the syrian, died. I don't think someone should be executed without a judge asking for witnesses from both sides. The Syrian boy's family might be okay with dropping the death penalty if Kohail's family admits "guilt". Anyway, Kohail was also hit in the fight.
Saudis know exactly what they're doing. They wouldn't sentence him to death w/o him being 100% guilty. The Saudi law is applicable for Saudis too who are found guilty of homicide, I cant comprehend why Canadians are outraged by this.
This sounds just about right to me. Yesterday in Canada, a kid who can not be identified spent less than 3 years in jail for stabbing to death another kid.
Well .. Sultan Kohail was sentenced to 1 Year on Saudi Prison and 200 Lashes ( Wipped ) and his brother Muhammed Kohail the person who atually killed the person is being beheaded.. Thats as of this date. Canadian goverment is getting involved..
Actually - we don't know if anyone actually directly caused Munzer's death. The trial has failed to meet basic fair trial standards and within the Saudi court system Mohamed's case has kept being sent back by appeals courts recommending that it be overturned but the General Court (which has to do the overturning) keeps refusing to do so.
There are only 3 people charged in this case that I am aware of - Mohamed Kohail and his Jordanian friend Mehanna Sa'd, and Sultan Kohail.
Sultan was a minor when all this happened. The defence have been prevented from presenting their case that what actually happened was that a wall collapsed when a group was pushing it. Munzer fell against the remains of the wall and was crushed by others falling on him. After the collapse he got up, walked a few steps then collapsed and died - this accords with the autopsy whereas the prosecution claim does not.

the defense lawyers should have argued the kohail thought the man was a shiite.
It's wonderful that the parents after coming to canada sent their son to Saudi Arabia to get a real real muslim education
Mohahmed learned well he beat a man to death in the street. this is just the final phase of his Islamic education

Let them both be beheaded - let's show the world what Saudi Arabia is all about.
I don't want any of my tax $ going towards saving these two.

I am a Saudi but i haven't heard of this story, however, shouldn't this be considered as self defense?
I don't know but think the story is deeper than that!
