  • well done my friends...well done...Greetings from greece

  • Am starting to build my first model since I was about 10 years old, i.e. 56+ years ago. This has been a very valuable set of videos.

  • @zdonovanbaldwin The skills used in this video are very basic. You can learn more advanced tricks from experience and modeling forums. Personally, I suggest using a paint wash, or at least a fine marker pen instead of the pencil for the finally lining.

  • @4:14 what did you apply?

  • @littleman749667: Microscale Micro-Sol (red bottle) and Micro-Set (blue bottle). Very useful for anyone trying to put decals onto a model. They help soften the decal and draw it down onto and around the surface detail of the model.

  • Why did you not use micro set?I always use micro set and when dry the I apply micro sol.

  • This was so helpful, thanks! :)

  • I noticed the US star on top of wing is upside down. Its correct on the side of jet. See the difference.

    From an Ex-Air Force Dude.!

  • cool, such a very pacient & delicate work - Happy Nu Yer

  • Excellent

  • Excellent, thanks so much. Me and my seven year old son got so much from your video.

  • Star and bar are upside down on the F-86, I think. Thanks for the tutorial.

  • since when has matchbox made models

  • Great video series. I hate to point out that the stars and bars is unside down on the wing. Thanks for posting, well done.

  • 'cut each decal from the master shit'

  • Thanks for the easy-to-follow instruction/demo. i purchased a model kit that is too complicated for me to know where to start (Revell 1/72 Typhoon kit 04317). Your videos help me map up my steps.

  • Thank you so much for all your hard work in making this video, God Bless

  • bro, u taught me how to build models

    thanks a bunch :D

  • thanks so much for the videos, very detailed and helpful. could you make a video of your personal collection of models youve built? or perhaps some of your personal favorites?

  • Can not thank you enough for the tips :)

  • the decal is upside-down

  • hi IncaLandInteractive..i hv been building my first revell aircraft model nd m stuck with landing gear F-14A..can u or anyone help me please....

  • @falcoon1000 if you havent fix it, i can help you, what exactly is your problem??

  • What is the upside down plane in the background at 7:13?

  • @bugone13 That is a P-39, which is back on my working table after breaking a landing gear.

  • @IncaLandInteractive no kidding, i HATE it when that happens. it happened on my cruddy deastator (old one), and it was just gluing for about two or three weeks. at about a week and a half, i just decided to use devcon epoxy glue. that seemed to do the trick

  • really enjoyed watch the video, very useful

  • Good tip on using the pencil to make the molded finish pop out. Excellente video y tremendo avion!

  • Great Video ;)

  • Lovely tutorial, i love the accent.

Matchbox kits remind me of my childhood in the 1970's.

One small nit-pick though ... your wing star and bar is upside down, top point of star faces forward.

  • Great video, the hobby too is the best

    Thanks

  • Do the panel lines with pencil??

  • id get high of the paint

  • very nice tutorial !

  • The best model video Ive ever seen, Ive done models for 20 years and learned something from this. Great work.

  • Great info and demo. Nice job putting the USAF roundel on upside down though on the black/white stripe F-86. Teh yellow stripe is correct.

  • you forgot to explain how to make the cockpit frame ! please tell me !

  • thank you for your time ...fantastic job !!

  • Great videos, congratulations!

However ... I was hoping you would go on more details regarding the painting of the canopy and transparent parts.

  • Man....RESPECT ! you are great ! thanks a lot for the help ! now i know how to build models !

i have two models but they are ugly....because i wasn't using professional materials...now i ordered some from the internet ...and later i am going to orded new models ! thanks a lot ! you seriously saved my hobby !

  • Now i really want to build my own modle

  • You make a mistake on the insignia of the wing the tip of the star should be to the front and not to the back.

should be like the side ones.

the second model it is OK, note de diference of the 2 insignias.

    best regards

  • Great tips. Getting models for christmas and some of the tips really helped.

  • great video!! i'm trying to build a model this christmas your video defintiely helps!!!!!!!!

  • God I love your accent! :)

  • Beautiful!

  • 2:37 'the master sh*t' ..lol what?

  • thanks for the video it was really good ...and it helped

  • Great video and great tips. I'm 42 and have been building models since I was a kid, your video is the best I've seen for beginner's or people like myself who would like to improve their modeling skills. Some of the videos on youtube are just way too detailed and intimidating for most modelers. If you have any tips on airbrushing I would love to see them, good job!

  • cool

  • wow, these videos really helped me alot! thanks

  • will a number 2 pencil work with detailing gundam models as well ?

  • @DokkenMcleod Sorry, no. You should use a black, ultra-fine G.U.N.D.A.M pen to do that.

You can also use a sharpie if you want, but use a little wet piece of towel to thin the permanent marker lines to make them fit only in the lines. I recommend using a gray G.U.N.D.A.M marker for white parts, and a black one for colored parts. Only use them on lines already on the model, not lines made my fitting the parts.

    K bye.

  • Well done on the three videos - they're very instructional

  • Great video! I am just strating to build model airplanes after being away from the hobby for over forty years.

I agree with Neztle; can you show us how to best use brushes to paint. I am not investing in an air brush until I am satisfied with my skill and interest level. Cheers!

  • Not bad considering this is the ancient matchbox kit.

  • Thanks man!

  • Thanks for the lesson. However, I thought you should apply micro set (blue bottle) first and then apply the decal. Microsol is then applied on top of the decal. In the video you used microsol for both application. Is this normal?

  • Yes, you can do that.

  • Very nice ,thanks.

  • wow very good thanks for the help

  • awsom!!!! great job!!!!thank you alot!!!!

  • i want see it with camoflage

  • Amazing attention to detail--magnificient. Too bad about the upside down decal.

  • Nice workbench!

  • Great Job!!! Thank you!!!

  • Thank you so much!! and.. I agree with Neztle.. could you show us how to paint with brushes? greetings from Bogota, Colombia!

  • Thanks!

decals are not easy, I hope this helps

  • the star emblem on the wing is upside down.. i made the same once too...

  • I just found myself a new hobby... Yaaay!

    Thanks!

  • Very good video i learned new tips of modeling and hopefully i going to buy soon a airbrush and thanks for the tips!

  • thank you. this has been very helpful indeed.

  • love these videos. i have issues with decals, the last 3 models i built I screwed up the decals so i had to paint them black :( boooo hehe

  • thank u so much! i got one for a gift yesterday and i wasnt sure what i needed and stuff, so thanks! i new youtube would help =)

  • Never touch decals with fingers!!! Use steel tweezers

  • Thanks man... now my models gonna look like them on the box :) congratz to the plane

  • really nice video! thanks for the tips and congratz on your work! both planes look awesome!

  • thanks for the video..could you show us..how to paint the fuselage without airbrush? only by brushes?

  • The trick is to thin the paint with about a 50/50 ratio. If you use acrylics, adding water usually does the trick. For enamels, add enamel thinner (but be sure to use in a well ventilated area). Apply in thin coats and let the paint dry completely before doing another coat ( 1hour for acrylics, 6 hours for enamels). It will take multiple coats to completely cover a model, but there will be no visible brush strokes.

  • @Neztle invest the money in an airbrush if you want to make nice looking models, makes it so much easier to paint and they come out looking amazing.

  • @Neztle for me it depends on your personal preference you could use a small 2-4 size brush for detail painting, or a large 8-and over brush for full surface painting, just remember to mask (use masking tape; it the only kind that works wright) the parts not to be painted

  • 1000 hours ?! wow, that's kookoo.

  • great vids, thanks, help me with something

  • Very helpful video, 5*. i did laugh however when u tried to pick up your brush at 4:48
