I just listened to the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Suck Without You. I can see how people could say that the rhythm she sings in that song kind of sounds like the rhythm in this one. But ultimately. . . who cares. They are completely different songs about two different things. Then again for all we know the message in this could be: Panic! telling us that memories fade away and because of that Kelly tells us that your life will suck without those memories.

@MainManAus gonna have to disagree there, from a musical standpoint, A Fever You Can't Sweat out was musically poor, understandably of course, they were inexperienced and immature, it was still a decent album. Pretty Odd was excellent, they had learned more about music and had become great musicans, they dropped the immaturity and produced an excellent album. Then there's this, which Suprised me so much, this is their best album by far, and the style is different from either of the first two.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on that one.

Their debut album was their best, this album is right behind it. Fever was hectic, whiny, had little sincerity, vague lyrics, and was sometimes cluttered. But I appreciated the originality, wide range of instrumentation, structural dynamics, thematic uniqueness, and catchiness. Pretty.Odd. was good but was probably better off if it was written in the 60s. In all of the albums, their instruments are great, though.
