So... I hoped to come here to hear some nice Icelandic music... And what do I get? Some ridiculous discussion on the subject of Christianity >< Please, don't bother yourselves, just enojy the music and stay liberal, and let people believe in whatever they want. Thank you guys.
I, as a Bulgarian, partly a Slav, have never accepted any christian cultural beliefs. Although my entire society is considered christian, actually my ancestors never really took it seriously. We still fucking remember times before christianity and having it spread here was just political conformism, any European knows that. And I personally don't take the whole thing that seriously, we have greater problems in Europe right now, but honestly I think christianity has always been a nuisance.
I was born in a Christian family and baptized in this belief as a baby when I could not chose... I still wear a cross(sp?) but it is more of a jewel to me than a symbol of faith I believe in something superior but I will not name it and yet I greatly respect the much older religions like pagan or the Norse Gods I feel like it was much purer than what it is now and I pity those fanatics that call the doing of Satan what they do not at least try to understand, now a days religion is politics
@sandgirlforeststaker If I remember correctly, it's just the band's personal rune, their own symbol, I -think- I read it in an interview by them, can't remember. But it's theirs alone. Such a beautiful rune mark.
LOL to the amount of ignorance in the comments below... especially the balkan "viking"
And to those comparing Odin to Satan... well that's just a new dimension of ignorance
Pagans did not have such a narrow, dull view on the world as Christians do. There was no Good/Evil axis to them, as that concept is intrinsic to the Abrahamic religions. The Gods had their own virtues and vices but there where no "good" or "evil" gods. It is utterly wrong to compare the Norse god of wisdom to Satan.
@Haxx0rify It actually very natural to compare a god of wisdom to satan, because if you pay close attention you'll notice that christianity actually frowns on wisdom and free thinking and there's not a single word of praise to intelligence in the gospels. Religions like cristianity focused on bullying the people into thinking they're unworthy piles of menure and have no right to think for themselves so the people above could tug the strings they wanted without difficulty.
@snakeinthereeds I concur that christianity embraces stupidity, ignorance and blind belief to a pathetic dogma, but only because satan is the antitesis of their god that doesn't mean that he is comparable to odin, thor, loki or any other pagan god. What I mean is that christianity is such a pathetic excuse for a religion that it doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence with european heathenry, let alone be compared to it.
@Haxx0rify Christianity had this retardedly smart habit of "converting" heathen gods into satan to sic people agains each other and it worked pretty well for them I guess. There's no relevancy to it - you're a pagan god? You're satan! ????? Profit.

@Svartsejd I'm not atheist in fact. Satan is Jehovah, the Demiurgue. Lucifer is the light bearer, the most beautiful increated light. Lucifer is Venus, is Yepún-Oiyehue, is Odin. Lucifer is the hope between the Black Sun and the Green Flash. The devil is just a jewish-cristian creation based on european pagan entities such Cernunnos, Pan etc.
@Volve if im not mistaken Gaahl worships Freya and he is not a pedophile. Gaahl is a very smart man actually and is very intune with the laws of nature. and yes if you go by biblical text Lucifer is the angel of light and became Satan when he fell.

@TheOfficialJasiu No niestety.
there is no reason to believe in the name the spirit is one in any religion it is the same: there is one! it is energy inside us it is no mather- where are you born the energy is inside you-part of IT it is your choose what to do whit your part of power time for explanation will come after. and do not be afraid-what -ever you do-it is whit power of God there will be no punishment, but question: why! I think- it is very heavy question so live your life easy, to have no heavy questions!
@Diogolindir Yes, you are so right ! Hail to our true gods and damn this slave religion called christianity. Christianity only brought wars, wars and wars. The pagans knew how to live together with the nature and gods in peace and if enemies came , they fought in the name of their gods and for their brothers and sisters and for their land!
@narutofreak12312312 not true actually. The vikings who worshiped mostly Odin went to war constantly seeking riches. The viking age was a very brutal time. Sure not all Norsemen were vikings but a lot of them were. Yes they did live together with nature but to say they lived in peace is completely wrong. but yes im sure many of the pagans fought only when their lives were threatened by other tribes.
@embracedbyfrost Yes, I understand what you mean. I said it something wrong , the vikings were great warriors and ofcourse they burned churches down and loot what they got and when a christian came they killed him but someday they just forgot their gods and the great viking age came to the end. But when the christians came to europe, then they dont only wanted gold and glory but also new lands and to convert the pagans to christian faith like the roman empire. Damn them all !
@narutofreak12312312 In norway (where I lives) Christinaity was brought to us by one King. Hes name was "Olav den hellige" or Olav the holy one. There was a battle between him and, a lot of heathen "rebels" who denied to accept this way of belief. The fought a huge battle, and Olav the holy died himself in battle. and he wast temporarily burried. Some weeks after, when hes court came to burry him in a better place, the noticed that hes beard nails. etc had grown.this convinced a lot of people.
@TheBlackmetalManiac Thats interesting but sad that the norse gods are forgotten and the true cultures great cultures are nothing for the modern human of the 21 century. Someday I wish to live in Norway and walk at late night when there is snow and drink mead but I have to learn norwegian.
@narutofreak12312312 Then you maybe should take a trip to Norway in january or february. I could send you a recipie on "brewing" mead. Its actually kind of easy.
@TheBlackmetalManiac Yes, someday I will surely visit Norway but not this year. First I need to finish my school. But you can send me a recipe on "brewing" mead because here in germany in many shops mead is so tasteless but only on medieval feasts it is great.
@narutofreak12312312 Yeah, you know many ogthe shops (at least here in Norway) doesnt put any pride behind making something of their own if you know what i mean.
@TheBlackmetalManiac From what I know, that's what normally happens to a corpse. Well, hair, nails etc. don't actually grow they only seem to because of the body decomposing.
@AmgNoWai Yeah! and I support that theroy of yours... I HATE that Chtistianity took away our traditions and replaced them with that heap filt called Jesus Christ!
@Gotlanning Yes, that would be a much wiser choice but now its too late and many people dont even care about humanity and our nature because we life in the time of consumption. Maybe someday the gods will return and our world will reborn ! Hail to scandinavia ! Hail to our true european culture and Odin is always on your side, my nordic brother !
@Gotlanning We were forced. Be baptized or die. Those who would not convert, were beheaded. And the faith still lives on, you know, though it has altered :)
@Heishikaze Yes, the same were also in russia (The whole europe) ! In a russian movie about pagans ,the pagans ask the priest if they will come to hell if they believe in slavic gods and live in peace and the priest said: You will go to hell. The pagans wonder about it because they really lived in peace. Stupid propaganda of christians! They brought too much blood and war to europe! Yes, the faith still lives in our souls and hearts because we are born as pagans and not christians !
@Heishikaze The same happened to my country, we were the last country in Europe to convert and it happened because it was tiring to have crusader factions trying to invade over and over again under the pretense of 'holy war' when all they wanted were the lands. And things went only downhill from that point onvard because cristians have no problems when it comes stealing from and backstabing each other once there are no heathens around to steal from and slaughter.
@Gotlanning It depends on how your ancestors converted. Christ didn't destroy your tradition. That was done by your own Nordic Christian priests and bishops...
We Slavs accepted Christianity by merging two traditions. A lot of old pagan customs survived in new religion. Old traditions were incorporated in new belief system. Today, every Christian holiday is filled with old pagan customs and a lot of old Slavic holidays are still celebrated though in their Christian form.
@BukaTheNoise Why are being so angry? If you are into paganism, you should know that they were not angry aggressive barbarians listening metal music and hating entire world:) Brother! Embrace Jesus!:D
@Rashchanin I'm not angry and i don't hate the entire world. And i know who and what my ancestors were, where they come from and what they believed in.
Christianity and islam were forced on us, that's simply a fact. If you choose to ignore it, then you are a brainwashed tool.
And, quite frankly, if you realy belive anything you wrote on this video, you are retarded
@Gotlanning My church isn't better:) It is pure luck that modern Serb.Orth.Church keeps our old tradition. For them it's just being conservative national religion and following the old way... But the real "heroes" were those pagan Serbs in the past who accepted Christianity but preserved old customs and those first churchmen who realized that it is better to merge two religions than to destroy the old one:)
@narutofreak12312312 They never forgot their gods (the faith still lives in Scandinavia, for your information)... Christians that came to the Scandinavian lands actually beheaded everyone who would not be baptized. It was convert or die. And traders/merchants had to convert as well, if they wanted to do trade with Christians.
@ragingriver30 The Romans, Christian Romans, had men fight to the death, slaughtered animals by the thousands, and had men torn apart by lions just for the amusement of the Roman people, this was just sadistic, and the Celtic and Germanic tribes took care of their elderly, sick, poor and every life was precious and saw women as equals, unlike the Greco-Roman world who would throw unwanted babies over cliffs into garbage heaps of rotting corpses and considered women property with no rights..
@narutofreak12312312 They never forgot, they were forced by power and order hungry Kings to convert to the Christian Middle-Eastern Plague.......the people kept their paganistic gods in heart, but fained piety to not be beheaded/totrured by the church. And that Roman defilement was felt by noone greater than the Stewards of the earth, the Celts of Gaul, and I will never forgive them for their holocaust against my Ancestors, except for the Gaels Bretons and Picts, they Stayed Pure and victorious!
@GoldenAxeVox666 Its just really sad to read something like this. The christians forced everyone everywhere to be a christian. Even in russia the pagans were killed or forced to take this faith but that was a big mistake because paganism is also culture, great rich culture of our ancestors! It teaches wisdom and show us how to live with the nature and the gods. What had the christians done for us? Nothing! We would live in more freedom if the world would stay pagan!
@narutofreak12312312 The Vikings eventually converted to Christianity but still maintained their viking ways. The last great Viking king was Saint Canute of Denmark. The Christians did not "take land" from the pagans, they were the pagans but converted. It was not the armies of Christian Romans that converted the Vikings but the humble monks and unarmed missionaries. The conflict between Vikings and others was not about religion.
@paulwolffagan dude, you're full of shit. the viking and christian conflict was not because of religion. the vikings attacked christian missions and monasteries because they were full of gold and silver and all manner of riches, food, and clothing, and mainly because they were unarmed buildings with no soldiers or armies manning them. not because they hated christians! they were the easiest targets to attack.
@Oreosforlunch "Humble monks and unarmed missionaries" who persuaded Christian kings to brutally suppress the religion of their own heritage, tear down and vandalize Pagan worship sites, and convert their own populace by the sword. I'm certain that sabre-rattling from Christian nations to the south didn't exert -any- such pressure at all, either.
@embracedbyfrost When a person cant get a job or want to earn money fast, what they do then? These days there are 2 solutions, gambeling and criminality. Back in the days it only was raiding and pillaging that was an option. and the weakest will always become the prey right? thats why my forefathers raided and pillaged ;D
@armenius28 vikings did not use human sacrifice, neither did the Varangian Guard. You meant the Celts. The vikings viewed the celts with such disdain because they sacrificed their own people and displayed such savagery when killing their enemies, like decorating their houses with the heads of the fallen. This is one of the reasons why the Norse showed aggression towards Britannia. In truth most norse tribes were indifferent about christianity... until they tried to convert.
@armenius28 Yes I am aware the norse gods came from the germanic tribes, but Wodan was definitley NOT a reference to satan, that's just fundamentalistic brainwash! Odinn/Wodan stood for elderly wisdom & nature, more specifically any beast flies, like ravens or hawks. How the hell is that a referance to satan??? He was no more prophetic and benevolent than jesus christ or mohammed. And the human sacrifices were done out of madness, during the times of famine before the norse went a viking.
@armenius28 Also, the human sacrifices to Wodan were used as a form of capital punishment, although in history there was a couple of kings who went mad and started sacrificing their own sons because of the famine, but his own men stopped them. The norse never sacrificed the innocent, but instead used criminals. Even than it's more capital punishment than sacrifice, so technically the vikings never truly sacrificed people, especially not the babies & children you are dreaming about.
@CorRomeister and tossing babies in the air to catch on their swords was better?? The Insular Celts viewed the human head of a fallen enemy to be a great source of power, and there is little archaeological evidence supporting the sacrifice of other Celts by the Druids, animals, Romans, you're bloody well right! And they only invaded Britain in order to feed their families and glory, as Britain was a much more rich land in resources, if they saw them as so horrible, why did they merge cultures?
Anyone know if there are similar bands to Wardruna? Even if they contaminate their sound with metal. I can't seem to find a band with such an ear for dark, tribal atmospheres such as these. Thanks in advance.
@THEMANOUTOFTHECAVE Check out Ulver's Kveldssanger, anything by Nest or Tenhi, and maybe even a couple albums by Dornenreich. There are a lot of good folk/tribal groups out there, you just have to dig for them a bit.

I love folk music, but modern paganism. These subcultures are funded Freemasonry and Jews to fight against Christianity.
More study history from a variety of sources and you will find this paganism. And fewer listen Gaal-fag from the Gorgoroth.
I do not like Catholicism and Protestantism, because they are heretics.
Learn how to verify the information and think with your head.

Time happens, over and over again.
Only since about a thousand years, my own ancestors were christian.
Those generations before, had a different religion.
And Aeons and Aeons before, who knows how many religions have passed through time and cultures ?
We cannot tell, we cannot guess. Only one thing is sure : Time goes by, and as man is stupid, man forces views and beliefs on another man.
Try to learn from the past and to respect your fellow men, and leave ignorance and hatred behind.

Lucifer is NOT Satan or the devil.
Volve 2 months ago
@Volve So educate us all, who is Lucifer then if not Satan or the Devil? Do you perhaps practice any black arts or are you just an blind atheist?
Svartsejd 2 months ago
@Svartsejd I'm not atheist in fact. Satan is Jehovah, the Demiurgue. Lucifer is the light bearer, the most beautiful increated light. Lucifer is Venus, is Yepún-Oiyehue, is Odin. Lucifer is the hope between the Black Sun and the Green Flash. The devil is just a jewish-cristian creation based on european pagan entities such Cernunnos, Pan etc.
Volve 2 months ago
@Volve if im not mistaken Gaahl worships Freya and he is not a pedophile. Gaahl is a very smart man actually and is very intune with the laws of nature. and yes if you go by biblical text Lucifer is the angel of light and became Satan when he fell.

@TheOfficialJasiu No niestety.

@Diogolindir Yes, you are so right ! Hail to our true gods and damn this slave religion called christianity. Christianity only brought wars, wars and wars. The pagans knew how to live together with the nature and gods in peace and if enemies came , they fought in the name of their gods and for their brothers and sisters and for their land!
narutofreak12312312 2 months ago
@narutofreak12312312 not true actually. The vikings who worshiped mostly Odin went to war constantly seeking riches. The viking age was a very brutal time. Sure not all Norsemen were vikings but a lot of them were. Yes they did live together with nature but to say they lived in peace is completely wrong. but yes im sure many of the pagans fought only when their lives were threatened by other tribes.
embracedbyfrost 2 months ago

@TheBlackmetalManiac Yes, someday I will surely visit Norway but not this year. First I need to finish my school. But you can send me a recipe on "brewing" mead because here in germany in many shops mead is so tasteless but only on medieval feasts it is great.

Heishikaze 1 month ago
@Heishikaze Yes, the same were also in russia (The whole europe) ! In a russian movie about pagans ,the pagans ask the priest if they will come to hell if they believe in slavic gods and live in peace and the priest said: You will go to hell. The pagans wonder about it because they really lived in peace. Stupid propaganda of christians! They brought too much blood and war to europe! Yes, the faith still lives in our souls and hearts because we are born as pagans and not christians !
narutofreak12312312 1 month ago
@Heishikaze I know, but still it was and is a disaster to our people.
Gotlanning 1 month ago
@Heishikaze The same happened to my country, we were the last country in Europe to convert and it happened because it was tiring to have crusader factions trying to invade over and over again under the pretense of 'holy war' when all they wanted were the lands. And things went only downhill from that point onvard because cristians have no problems when it comes stealing from and backstabing each other once there are no heathens around to steal from and slaughter.

Che44ter 2 weeks ago
@Gotlanning It depends on how your ancestors converted. Christ didn't destroy your tradition. That was done by your own Nordic Christian priests and bishops...
We Slavs accepted Christianity by merging two traditions. A lot of old pagan customs survived in new religion. Old traditions were incorporated in new belief system. Today, every Christian holiday is filled with old pagan customs and a lot of old Slavic holidays are still celebrated though in their Christian form.

@Gotlanning My church isn't better:) It is pure luck that modern Serb.Orth.Church keeps our old tradition. For them it's just being conservative national religion and following the old way...
Heishikaze 1 month ago
@Heishikaze Yes human sacrifice is a much better alternative, you have romanticized view of a religion that no longer exist as it did.
ragingriver30 1 month ago
@ragingriver30 And I ask you, what do you know of the religion/mythology? Blot weren't human sacrifice, but animal sacrifice.
Heishikaze 1 month ago
@ragingriver30 The Romans, Christian Romans, had men fight to the death, slaughtered animals by the thousands, and had men torn apart by lions just for the amusement of the Roman people, this was just sadistic, and the Celtic and Germanic tribes took care of their elderly, sick, poor and every life was precious and saw women as equals, unlike the Greco-Roman world who would throw unwanted babies over cliffs into garbage heaps of rotting corpses and considered women property with no rights..
GoldenAxeVox666 1 month ago
@narutofreak12312312 They never forgot, they were forced by power and order hungry Kings to convert to the Christian Middle-Eastern Plague.......the people kept their paganistic gods in heart, but fained piety to not be beheaded/totrured by the church. And that Roman defilement was felt by noone greater than the Stewards of the earth, the Celts of Gaul, and I will never forgive them for their holocaust against my Ancestors, except for the Gaels Bretons and Picts, they Stayed Pure and victorious!

GoldenAxeVox666 1 month ago

Oreosforlunch 1 month ago
@Oreosforlunch The conflict between Vikings and the christians WAS about religion!!
Do your homework.
paulwolffagan 1 month ago
@paulwolffagan dude, you're full of shit. the viking and christian conflict was not because of religion. the vikings attacked christian missions and monasteries because they were full of gold and silver and all manner of riches, food, and clothing, and mainly because they were unarmed buildings with no soldiers or armies manning them. not because they hated christians! they were the easiest targets to attack.
do YOUR homework.
Krassenator 3 weeks ago 3
@Oreosforlunch "Humble monks and unarmed missionaries" who persuaded Christian kings to brutally suppress the religion of their own heritage, tear down and vandalize Pagan worship sites, and convert their own populace by the sword. I'm certain that sabre-rattling from Christian nations to the south didn't exert -any- such pressure at all, either.
Damn, are you ignorant.

@Diogolindir ohh didn't know that human sacrifice is cool..but hej everybody got his own taste i guess
armenius28 2 months ago
@armenius28 vikings did not use human sacrifice, neither did the Varangian Guard. You meant the Celts. The vikings viewed the celts with such disdain because they sacrificed their own people and displayed such savagery when killing their enemies, like decorating their houses with the heads of the fallen. This is one of the reasons why the Norse showed aggression towards Britannia. In truth most norse tribes were indifferent about christianity... until they tried to convert.
CorRomeister 1 month ago
@CorRomeister Ehh the varangian guard, lol now we talh byzantine empire times, ehm round htat time, yes all of them where pretty civilized.
But that is after 800 ad.
i talk about 300 bc m8,that time human sacrifce where order of the day.
ALL norse gods come from german tribes,ALL of them.
Wodan is another reference to satan, there where sacrifices made for wodan.
Sexual rites where performed for freya, satanical rites, again
chatolism...is a satanic cult..they invaded all those country's
armenius28 1 month ago
@armenius28 Yes I am aware the norse gods came from the germanic tribes, but Wodan was definitley NOT a reference to satan, that's just fundamentalistic brainwash! Odinn/Wodan stood for elderly wisdom & nature, more specifically any beast flies, like ravens or hawks. How the hell is that a referance to satan??? He was no more prophetic and benevolent than jesus christ or mohammed. And the human sacrifices were done out of madness, during the times of famine before the norse went a viking.
CorRomeister 1 month ago
@armenius28 *beast that flies
CorRomeister 1 month ago
@armenius28 Also, the human sacrifices to Wodan were used as a form of capital punishment, although in history there was a couple of kings who went mad and started sacrificing their own sons because of the famine, but his own men stopped them. The norse never sacrificed the innocent, but instead used criminals. Even than it's more capital punishment than sacrifice, so technically the vikings never truly sacrificed people, especially not the babies & children you are dreaming about.
CorRomeister 1 month ago
@CorRomeister Are you fucked in the head???
I dont dream about children and baby's...WTF!!
Are you retarded?...no serious...are you retarded?
Or do you whant to provoke me...because after you did your little research...you must have figured out...
What about the funeral sacrifice he??????????????????????
Ohhh that bitch cheated and had to die...thats why they burn here with here husband...srry didn't know that...cheers bro
armenius28 1 month ago
@CorRomeister and tossing babies in the air to catch on their swords was better?? The Insular Celts viewed the human head of a fallen enemy to be a great source of power, and there is little archaeological evidence supporting the sacrifice of other Celts by the Druids, animals, Romans, you're bloody well right! And they only invaded Britain in order to feed their families and glory, as Britain was a much more rich land in resources, if they saw them as so horrible, why did they merge cultures?
