I take it as a depression song. how you slip into it and its hard to get out. that's what i get from it but it's really what you take from the song. like in an art gallery. i just noticed that lyrics is spelt wrong.

Her situation in life is gloomy and not on par with what she wants it to be. So when she closes her eyes she's thinks of what could have been and that is paradise to her. That's why the song's tone is dark but has a title that is the epiphany of happiness.
@kitty16470 Genre wise, it is not really emo. The concept is what you could call "Emo" nowadays due to its darker toned but just because a song is dark, full of emotion, and cryptic doesn't mean it has anything to do with the subculture "Emo".
