Just returned from a weekend in New Orleans. As I walked the sun drenched streets of the French Quarter taking in the wonder of the heart of the city, something feels surreal thinking of what went on there during the aftermath of the hurricane. Thanks Joshua for sharing your story, the story of your friends,
This is an outstanding memoir by Mr. Clark that will take you through the moments of Katrina and into the post hurricane disaster that followed in the French Quarter of New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast. You will feel intimately attached to the characters of his real life story.
"Heart Like Water" is, by far, my favorite post-Katrina book. Josh Clark pours out his heart and soul, then tosses in science to give us complete perspective from all angles on the disaster he and others survived not quite 2 years ago.
Josh...the voices on this tape sound exactly as I imagined them as I read the pages.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who has a passion for the city of New Orleans and the surrounding areas.
