BTW you should see the footage of a Doll's Halloween show where Ace turns up as a member of the audience with his Space make-up... if it wasn't for the Dolls originality and outrageousness, I certainly doubt KISS would have thought of their theatrics and/or make-up! @deuce1231 the Dolls gave other groups a run for their money! It's just unfortunate that certain issues and personal problems got in the way of the Dolls receiving their proper recognition at the time when they were active with Thunders, Nolan and Kane.

@deuce1231 the Dolls were and will always be the first of their kind! PERIOD! They are completely unlike any of the groups they have clearly influenced, as the Dolls roots are traced back to the blues and girl groups of the 60's... easily, the most under-rated garage band, Deuce!

@deuce1231 Ask Gene or Paul. The Dolls were inspirational to them. Ditto for Aerosmith. And the Dolls had an edge, a true Rock & Roll grit that neither KISS nor Aerosmith ever attained. The Stones had it. The Dolls were cut from that cloth. Aerosmith and KISS for all of their great tunes and musicianship, are to me studies in the proper marketing of a band as a conceptual product rather than pure Rock & Roll. Aerosmith and KISS played Rock & Roll, but The Dolls WERE Rock & Roll! Period.
