  • Barbershop singing is about harmony not racism. There are many many chorus's in the world who have all kinds of religion and race, why do such idiots put racism remarks on here ? Get a life and before you ask !! I am white and am proud to know all religions and race of people.

  • It is a race issue. Black people are entitled to a free ride to practice and a stipend for practicing. This is reparations for all the barbers who would not cut black men's hair.

  • My favorite Masters of Harmony clip is their performance of Time After Time. Doesn't look like its on YouTube anymore.

  • @fade2blk86 for one thing I am not a moron, if you read through all the responces they all came back with the same thing that it was a race issue, going back a year when this 1st came out. if it was a miss understanding then it was a misunderstanding, and you cleared it up. but do not go and start calling me names i didn't call you a name all i said lets not make this a race issue, now you have gone and called me names and you don't know me at all. I have followed barbershoping since 1974.

  • @GOOFYTROLL1 When did I call you a name? This conversation is becoming all too interesting/colorful lol. I never said nor implied that anyone was a moron.

  • @fade2blk86 sorry it wasn't you that called me a moron it was someone else, please forgive me.

Keep The Whole World Singing ( it used to be Keep America Singing times have changed as well as the music)

    :)

  • Whoooo! Let me first start out my saying that I never made this an issue of race. I simply made an observation, which I am allowed to do. I have absolutely no issue with people from diverse backgrounds. I think it would have taken more guts for someone to simply send me a message asking me where I was coming from instead of attacking my character on youtube. Relax people. Dont be so quick to judge.

  • Barbershop music is a style and type of music. Why does everything have to be black and white? how could someone bring race into this? this is not a racel issue.

Why make it a racel issue? It's music you either like barbershop or not it doesn't matter what race you are. really turning this into a race issue?

  • they did a nice job.

  • Why would you even make a race check? Watch "76 Trombones" track; you'll find the black guy.

  • Check out "76 Trombones) track; you'll find the black guy.

  • great performance with the great song .... success to you....

  • As a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society myself I can tell you that barbershoppers do not discriminate. There are no black members in my particular chorus but they would be most welcome. There are some in other choruses nearby. All that is required is a voice and a desire to sing music in the barbershop style. It takes a lot of practice and you must memorize every word and every note. But when you see the joy you bring, its worth it. Please join.

  • @KenG1935 I appreciate your response. Just to clear things up, I never had an issue with the race of the singers. I just made an observation. I didn't realize that so many people would have taken what I said out of context.

  • This track were written for them! So awesome!

  • @fade2blk86: Well, let's see: Masters of Harmony is from Santa Fe Springs, California, which the Census Bureau says has an African-American population of a little under 4%. Couple that with the long tradition of African-Americans singing barbershop (tongue firmly in cheek) and I think you have your answer.

  • @bruceandis I appreciate your sarcastic response. Nothing discriminatory was meant by what I said. I was simply making an observation. I have a great respect for Barbershop music as I too am a singer.

  • love the last minute if the song because of the way themasters sing it

  • Where are all the black people?

  • No one's stopping them.

  • @fade2blk86 um - maybe no black person has asked to join yet. it doesn't upset me that there are no white people in the soweto choir....:-)

  • @jd7x7jd I'm glad somebody recognizes that this is white culture, but at least its at it's finest!

  • @djcbaja18 barbershop is white culture? Reread the history books. the first quartet was four black slaves who wanted to do something fun, and their master actually enjoyed their harmonies and let them perform for his wife. Still, he didn't release them, but thank God for black people or this art may not exist.

  • @Icyveins906 I'm actually glad that some people out there know how African-Americans have been some of the originators of different American artforms, but I wasn't saying that barbershop was White culture- but rather this performance was. Though this artform may have originated by African-Americans it has been adapted by other sub-cultures. And, much like rock and roll, White culture tends to dominate a artform once it gains cultural acceptance.

  • Between the song choice, the arrangement, and the overall look and feel of the performance, while I believe a trained eye/ear can definitely still see the vestiges of African-American culture that originated this artform- I think its undeniable to see how this particular performance is an awesome, and I do mean quite exemplary, professional, and great, example of White American culture.

  • @fade2blk86 lolololol excellent observation

  • @fade2blk86 afraid to join because the stereotype is that all barbershoppers are gay...too bad really. Black people bring a really awesome, unique sound, and you find some of the best basses among them.

  • @Icyveins906 i have never in my life heard that there is a sterotype for barbershoppers. i have been barbershopping for 37 years. you find great basses among white people too. this is totally ridiculas that it has come down to this making comments about black and white. who sings better, why this person isn't singing in this group or that. this whole statement has made me ill

  • @GOOFYTROLL1 We're not having a race argument you moron. I merely referenced the roots of barbershop. And, though it is a stereotype, blacks make up a great majority of famous american bass singers for a reason. I envy basses especially black basses who can make my body shake with soul. I'm not racist by any stretch or hateful towards this group.

  • @Icyveins906 I am not a moron, if you read through the other comments other people said the same thing.

i didn't call you any names, what right do you have to call me a name, now i could call you names but I am more growen up than that. i have followed barbershop since i was 9. if i am a moron than everyone that commented on this is a moron because they all thought the same thing.

  • @fade2blk86 why are you making this a race issue. omg, it's about a chorus who is a international champion, there are chorus's all over the world that sing barbershop, you are taking something wonderful and turning it into a race issue that is sick. You must be a person who doesn't like barbershop. if you want to sing barbershop then go try out and if your good then join. but don't sit and make this a race issue just because you don't like this type of music.

  • Beautiful sad love song. Singing it in my home town of Long Beach, CA.

  • This is an awesome song! Who arranged this?

  • Brian Beck

  • Nice
