@goodmangillmanpharma Earth will become a heaven or hell based on our efforts. If global warming come true & earth becomes a hell, we Hindus & Budhists must fight it. One day man will reach the stars & it will be because of Hindus & Buddhists, certainly not christian & muslims who are intent on running away to the retirement home run by their god. they have only one life, they are not coming back.

We will, but we must no think of running away from suffering - i feel the Buddha was wrong there

@goodmangillmanpharma Ok u need to stop shouting. Do u realize that we Hindus revere the Buddha as a God? Talking about how we burnt Buddhist things is the talk of the ignorant. We pray to him as God & then burn his temples?

Take a look at western & muslim land about a 1000 yrs ago - see any religion besides christianity & islam? Anyone who tried to form his own religion was imm labled a heretic & tortured to death! That would have been the fate of the Buddha had he been born in europe or....

I don't see a Buddhist - i see a former christian who converted to Buddhism - i see a christian bringing his christian bigotry & hatred, the tooth fairy coming to save the world - into Buddhism. @goodmangillmanpharma not sure where you got your learning material from.. but let me tell you you are way of. Hinduism is the most lovely peaceful religion or way of life on earth. Hinduism is the mother of every religion, it gave birth to others. Every God learned Hinduism then took there knowledge to othe parts of the world. eg. Jesus Christ. Buddha, Allah. Yes I said Jesus. They are all re incarnaitons of Krishna the supreme one.

@goodmangillmanpharma Also Ancient India or Hinduism gave the world, math, science, algebra, astronomy, number system and much much more. We taught this to the rest of the world. Not to mention the first ever written scriptures were developed by Hindus. The first language ever spoken on earth Sanskrit is the ancient Hindu Language.

@goodmangillmanpharma ..muslim lands. Protestant christians had to flee to america to escape persecution from other christians. Bohra muslims fled to Hindu India to escape persecution from other muslims, who deemed them not muslim enough! Imagine that muslims fleeing muslim finding refuge in Hindu India! And how about the Dalai Lama? We Hindus are angering china which could help us fight poverty for his sake, because WE Hindus are have a long history of tolerance.

@goodmangillmanpharma Not just Buddhism, but there is Sikhism, Jainism, Zoarashtrism & innumerable tribal religions in Hindu India. If the founders of these religions were born in other lands they would have been tortured to death! There would be no Buddhism today!

Abusing other religions is beneath a Buddhist. One must be allowed to question - to reply with anger only shows that u fear i may be right.

@goodmangillmanpharma And lets remember Buddha was a Hindu born in India. And as written in ancient Hindu scriptures Buddha came as the 9th and latest re incarnation of Lord Vishnu. When you pray to Buddha your prayers also go to Vishnu, Krishna, Brahman. All is One. And yes Buddhism is the fastest growing religion.. .as it should be. Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sihkism are most peaceful and harmonious followings on earth.

@luckyceltic69 ..m soo sorry to hear this..but Lord buddha ws no one's incarnation..I am a Sri lankan Buddhist..For example ,v dnt believe in God's creation or any one else's creation for that matter..Hinduism bealieves in the creation ...but they say that maha Brahma created everythin.At the same tym they r saying that lord buddha ws the latest reincarnation of Vishnu..WOT is wrng with them...they shud nt contaminate other religions with their own beliefs...:)

You have to understand religions because you are far from learning the patterns my friend. Did you even know Buddha was in fact a Hindu? That he was born in India during those times, remember there was no Nepal or Tibet then it was all India. Did you know the most ancinet scriptures in the world have Siddartha Guatama ( Buddha ) as the 9th re incarnation.

@deathfinder2 Also yes we believe Brahman or Atman and Devi are the Soul Creators, not the god Brahma, Every God in the Hindu religion has a role, like to Preserve is Vishnu, Goddess of Knowledge is Saraswati, And Mother Durga being the Mother of the Universe. You have to understand religion yourself with self realization before you make claims about your religion. Buddha is clearly the 9th re incarnaton of Vishnu the latest one. Krishna was 8th and known as a SUpreme avatar.

@deathfinder2 I agree. Religion is within, faith is within. We need to be following what we know. Buddhism has become far too complicated, like Christianity. Everyone needs to go back to the center and follow what it's meant to be, not what people are trying to make it into, or claiming it should be.

@goodmangillmanpharma If u read the Gita - the caste system was based on the work that one does. An Educated person was called a Brahmin - educate yrself u are a Brahmin. Later society corrupted the Gita's teachings. Stuff happens in a country, it's not always the religions fault. The Bible God says Slavery is a fine institution. Just because it's not there in christian countries, doesn't mean that a religion is not teaching bad values & vice versa.

@goodmangillmanpharma I am a bit down on Buddhism. It seems it's all about how to run away from societal problems. For Christians, muslims, life on earth is just a pitstop - they say that eternity is spent in heaven or hell, so what is 80 odd yrs compared to eternity? nothing, just a blink of an eye. All these religions seem to be saying let's run out of here.

Karma & Rebirth teach us that Our life is here on Earth. Earth's problems are our problems. we need to fight, not think of running away

That is why Vishnu and Krishna re incarnated into Buddha, Jesus Christ, Allah, they were messengers for humanity during dark era kali yuga. The sole purpose of Buddhism is to attain nibbana. Nibbana is a blissful mental state that it's free from all bondage. It can be experienced this life itself.

Nibbana is in Pali. Pali was the language used by Buddha when he taught. Nirvana is in Sanskrit. You're right. They mean awaken to the truth or enlightenment - the supreme bliss.
