similar to jitte kata. same mountain block and crane stance block. all taekwondo forms are korean made but with karate techniques.

That's a traditional TKD poomse called Kumgang, after Kumgang mountain in Korea. It is the 2nd Dan poomse (kata).

Exactly, case and point. Martial arts, "the Art of war..." Not to be confused with apes like Kimbo and the big bad wolf... Martial artists are the ones who see contest as the last resort. They arent people who are there to wow you and make you gossip on and on about how you know someone who could tko Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris. Leave Martial Arts to Warriors and leave the streets and jungles to the friggin apes.... or any animal you prefer. Om

I agree with your general assertions, but Kimbo actually turns out to be a stand-up guy. Of all the competitors on The Ultimate Fighter 10, he really stood out as embodying the martial spirit more than most of the others. He's a very humble and mature dude.

How discouraging. Martial arts are not hollywood and vice versa. Just because youre brute tough does not make you a martial artist. If you want to go to the jungle to fight an ape, im sure he'll beat you down, but that doesnt mean the ape was a better martial artist, lol. It means pure instinct and animal state won out. To all these people who say who is the baddest man of all. "Is the toughest badass the kinda guy you want to watch your back or be someone you might need to depend on?".

why are the karate's kata more powerful and speedful?

They seem that way because the movements are shorter. The form is slightly different. I see plenty of power in this form, but I do see how you might think it's not as fast simply because the motions extend more.

TKD teagueks are much much more focused on technical perfection and controled power. I did Kenpo karate and TKD and i much much prefer doing kenpo forms because they are way more emotional and powerful and "flashy" but TKD does have all of my respect in its own right

u gotta realize, TKD is not a fighting style for the streets, its more of a sport. one of few thats recognized in the olympics, cause u cant ust hit hard in tkd. u hav to have reaction time, and speed.thats y it is different from karate
