@vvv435: This is the USA Amateur Latin Championship. Most have slavic names because they come from Russia or eastern European countries. Most (if not all) the top ball dancers in the US (Latin and Standard) are not American born. There is not much interest in ballroom dancing in the US as to compared to Russia and Europe.

@rynie88 I think Pasha and Daniella are excellent competition along with Kate and Andrei. They place very well in international comps and Pasha and Daniella where 5th in Blackpool Rising Star this past year which had over 400 couples from all over the world. As far as the two that got 4th and 5th, not sure how they got to the placings they did.
