Does this change the top speed of the bike? Looking at the gear ratio changes the bike's ultimate top speed should have changed.

The stock gearing on the Baja DB 30 Mini Bike
is so high that the engine cannot ever achieve its RPM and HP potential on flat ground yet alone any kind of grade. It simply does not have enough HP to pull the stock 6.36 to 1 gear ratio and perform well. The ProModraceparts JS with a 8.8 to 1 JS ratio on the DB Minibike will have a higher top speed with a heavier rider and only a slightly lower top speed with a rider under 100lbs. Test your self and believe!

Both the Doodlebug engines have there carb adjustments set for best performance and the throttle limiter screws backed all the way out. In the hill climb test the bikes are actually already climbing a slight grade as they pass the camera and start up the steep part of the hill. That is why the stock Doodlebug is having such a hard time getting going because it had to start out on a slight uphill. The camera does not depict the steepness of the hill very well.
