  • The sound is very beautiful.

    I also am performing the tune of Eccles now.

    Two movements have not been made yet;

  • First I want to say that I'm a bass player and I think this is one of the best versions I've seen on youtube. I wish next performance you put a couple of mics on stage and record closer. If you put it on the computer and sync the sound later, it would be a lot better sound. Imagine having this performance with a couple of condenser mics on the piano and a couple around the bass, then you could mix a little bit of the room sound and it would sound like a record. Good luck!!!

  • very good, everything!Greetings from Brazil!

  • its really good, but in the second movement you shouldn't go so fast that the notes become unclear. get clear, strong notes then work on a proper tempo.

  • wyżej łokieć

  • Bravo!! La única interpretación de esta maravillosa sonata que vale la pena de las que he encontrado por aquí. Espero algún dia poder colgar la mia y que suene por lo menos la mitad de bien. ;-)

  • this dude has my last name wee must be realated my last name is one of a kind

  • Tempo, phrasing and dynamics are all quite good. You seem to have a pretty good feel for the piece and capture the essence of the Eccles well. One of my favorite performances of the piece.

  • Its actually not too fast, its played almost exactly as eccles indicated it should be played.

  • Muy musical... Bravo!!!!

  • It's played on a double-bass, not a cello. The range and notes, on a bass, are exactly as played

  • Actually as a bassist I can tell you we read notes an octave higher than they sound, so if we played cello music we would be an octave lower, but this is a violin piece transposed for bass and the pitch is correct.

  • Amen dude. i play a bass clarinet not a string bass and i did this song, and it still sounds very good. we read notes an octave higher as well, and with the contra-bass it's two octaves.

  • Thank you very much for this video!!...I love it. I have just posted the Sonata of Henry Eccles.Cheers!!!, ~Sergio.
