  • Truman - probably the most evil President in US history. directly and indirectly responsible for the deaths of so many.

    - Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic bombs - mass murderer of women, children and old civilians

    - recognition of Israel

    - interfering in Vietnam (leading to vietnam war)

    - interfering in Korea (See Korea war)

    - medical experiments on blacks in Tuskegee and Guatemalans

And this is not even a complete list of his crimes.

You should not be honoring or defending this man America ...

  • @Communist2012 Were you born talking a load of bollocks or did you get the ability after sustained and lengthy practice.

  • @Communist2012 1. Hiroshima and Nagasaki saved millions of lives

    2. The US would support Israel with or without Truman

    3. He never interfered in Vietnam

    4. Korean war was necessary to safeguard the people of South Korea. Ask yourself do you think Korea would be better off with the North(who isnt communist btw)

    5. This is actually true

Also if the US never entered the war, how exactly would Japans conquest and rape of China and the rest of the east Asia ever have been stopped?

  • usa embargo of japan - go research it. The US started the war against Japan with these hostile actions, but they lie about historical accuracy, and act as if they were completely innocent and attacked first

they still do it to this day .. same mentality :/

  • Japan had no choice but to attack. They were provoked by the oil and blockade by the US navy on their supplies. Their people were dying from starvation, and there was unrest. Their Govt had to act to break this situation.

  • PLEASE!!!! can someone explain this in kid version?!?!

  • Comment removed

  • that was interesting

  • FDR is lying through his teeth in this speech. He had already set the bait at Pearl months ahead of the attack...besides which, we were already at war with Japan via the Flying Tigers.

The war in Europe was already decided by this point. Germany could not invade England, the Battle of Brittan was already won and Hitler was already doing the impossible - invading Russia.

This is nothing but blood-lust from FDR whipping up a stupid American public. 300,000 Americans die as a result.

  • Comment removed

  • @awaple Not mistaken. Look at the dates. The US did not enter the war until after the outcome was already decided in Europe....after the Battle of Britain, after British troops left the Continent, after the French surrender, after Germany invaded Russia and after the Russian winter that would defeat the German army had already begun.

In 1941 (before US entry into the war) the Brookings Institute published "Nazi Europe and World Trade." The US government knew that the Nazi's were finished.

  • @awaple The point of all this is that the US had no defensive need to enter WW2. Germany did not pose a strategic threat to the US. The could not invade England only 20 miles away. The could not invade the US 2000 miles away. We knew they were running out of material and oil. They had already committed the critical mistake of invading Russia.

France, Holland, Belgium, Norway had already surrendered and the Germany were already beat by Dec 1941.

We entered the war for booty and power.

  • @pine82 not true. when the Japanesse bombed us we entered war with them. Then since the Japanesse were apart of the Axis war machine, they decided to declare war on us.

  • @gamerlehu1238 I'm not sure what you're saying.

The US had already committed acts of war on Japan before Dec 7 1941 including shutting off their oil supply and flying air strikes against them with the Flying Tigers...so technically we were already at war with them. We were also engaging in other provocative acts like building up a huge B-17 bomber capacity in the Philippines and sailing ships into the Bungo Strait. FDR baited them into a strike.

  • @pine829 Well, piney boy, I'd take FDR over you any day. Question: relevance of surrender of France, Holland, Belgium, Norway to your argument? And for a country that was already beaten, it is pretty impressive that Germany held out for over 3.5 years more!

  • @gracielet13 Several corrections:

You and the rest of the retarded sheep in the US did take FDR's bait and allowed him to slaughter your sons for his ambition.

    I'm not a boy.

The US did not enter the war until after it was already decided. Germany was on the path to a loss with Russia.

The US entered for imperialistic reasons not defense of its homeland.

Read the Brookings report from 1941 on the industrial and military capability of Germany.

  • @awaple The US telling of WW2 history is mostly bullcrap. Germany was not a threat to the US. They had no ability to invade us. They were no more a "bad guy" than any of the other players. They were ALL bad. As it was, we entered the war on Stalins side. By the numbers, he was a much bigger murderer than Hitler. Therefore, we entered on the side of the "bigger" bad guy. Moreover, the US and its allies engaged in civilian terrorist (area) bombing. Again bad. We also starved German troops

  • America's greatest president? Thumbs up if you agree

  • I thought pearl harbor was awesome for killing american soliders!LONG LIVE MARXISM!

  • @powell356 Sweet man. Thanks for your input, your character as a human being really shows here.

  • 3 things now

#1: we need another like Roosevelt to lead our great nation.

#2:why are we arguing about politics on this video?

#3: Danke for putting this online. people need to know about this. you can't know where you are and where you're going, without knowing where you've been.

  • @epicwinface i know you might not agree with this but im willing to take this chance, But, Obama is the closest thing to Roosevelt will get, he knows how to use the military EXTREMLY well, just look at the killing of osama bin laden, no president would dare crossing into pakistan without content, he knows we need to go to war with pakistan, and i wont deny it, alot of the things he said would happen in the econemy failed, but he wins the hearts of the people, thats the truest victory of all.

  • 22 people obviosly arent from the US

  • Americans who died during Pearl Harbor: 2117 people.

Japanese who died during Nagasaki + Hiroshima: Around 105 000 people.

Also, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were filled with civilians. Let us be free from hypocrisy people. An estimated 17 000 children starve to death everyday. Where is the topic honoring their deaths? It does not exist.

  • @Mzik4urEars I am not sure where you get your facts, Hiroshima & Nagasaki were Industrial and military targets DURING WARTIME, Pearl Harbor was attacked DURING PEACETIME, had over 2400 deaths and if you include the concurrent PEACE ATTACKS on the Philippines that number rises to over 15000, not to mention the MILLIONS of civilians the Japanese killed in China and Korea during their invasions and occupations of those places.

  • @Mzik4urEars Don't start shit you can't finish.

  • @Mzik4urEars Japan asked for it

  • @Mzik4urEars you tube is a horrible soap box, your whining is falling on deaf ears.

  • @Mzik4urEars Chinese who died by the Japanese: 9,000,000- 20,000,000

this alone, if you respect the lives of innocent people was reason enough to use the atomic bombs on the japanese.

  • @Patfitz1234 Yeah but china kills their own people now.

  • @IS0iOS yes, the communist party killed chinese people, but at the time of world war 2, the nationalist were in control of china. the communist didn't come into power until after the japanese reduced the power of the nationalists.

  • @Patfitz1234

In China, the killing had been a Nationalist and Communist Party. Please do not do anything the responsibility of the Japanese Army. By the way, do you think about Mao Zedong?

  • @taitei969 many of the chinese were killed by the nationalist in control of china, but the japanese killed a great deal more innocent chinese lives, far more than the nationalist did. Mao didn't come into power until after the war. Mao was a horrible person, but he did not have a significance in world war 2.

  • @Patfitz1234

    I am mysterious.

Why will not there be a person saying that parents were murdered to a Chinese by Mao Zedong?

There are considerably more dead people of the Cultural Revolution than a dead person of the Japan-China War.

As for most Chinese whom I watched, it seemed to be put parents and grandparents out at the Internet in the Japanese military.

  • How could anybody dislike this? I can't understand what you are thinking. So many people died, and for what?

  • this day is to be never forgotten. I am only 28 but i Know what WE Sacrificed. White, Black, from other shores we are all treated the same. We are treated as Americans. We are one of the few nations that are free. People, understand that. Your ideological thoughts mean nothing to those who want us Dead. Stand as one to defend this Great Nation. And we will always survive and rise from the ashes as the Greatest.

  • rip all who died

  • december 7 1941 the 2nd worst day the usa

  • r.i.p for all of those who died

  • This was as inside as 9/11.....for all you who want to say no....think what country in their right mind would attack the U.S. head on

  • @JDillinger101 Ha ha......this is a funny joke!

  • @bigbrotherxp Why do you say that?

  • Pearl Harbor was an inside job

  • @Church96 right, cause they really have a choice. You're a dumbass. Anyone that says soldiers can kiss their ass obviously has no fucking clue what's going on in the world.

  • This is only about half of the speech. It doesn't even contain the actual request for a declaration of war by congress.

  • I'm sad to say I don't think the current generation in america could handle WWIII. This was perhaps the greatest fighting generation but we are the greatest tech generation of all time...

  • God Bless America!

  • The hate comments crack me up! Yes that generation gave all for our country and God bless them for all they did for us, that by no means explains the politic of the times or the treason that has crept in and abused our service men and women. many presidents and politicians spoke in regards to it and many turned up dead.... I'm sure its just coincidental.I know... its one of those there "conspiracy theorists" just remember we can pretend what we want but we will all see whats real, together.

  • @tinytimmee51....Canada doesn't want his sad ass either! Don't be so hard on him...he plays video games and posts them. He's at "THAT" level in his maturity. His screen name is Tiny Tim. that really says it all..... he also can not spell correctly. He didn't even give Hitler the proper Grammatical capitalization... I will say this however: PEARto Rico sounds nice.... if I knew where that was located, I might try visiting.... the minute I get REALESed from my daily activities.; )

  • Btw if u hate this country then get the hell out and go to Canada or Mexico, idc where just not here. We don't need ur racist shit.

  • @tinytimmee51 shut the hell up and screw u. The men and women of that era sacrifice everything for us. So keep your thoughts to your self u dumb ass bigot.

  • @tinytimmee51: The pristine clarity of your thoughts as evinced by your eloquence does full justice to your cause and your beliefs.

  • ur talking about my grandparents!!! tread lightly!!! they preserved this nation!!! and paid with it with blood!!!

  • @ca194216 everyone paid in blood even our soldiers there deaths were not in vain remember we bombed japen in 1942

  • @crobledo89

    Try 1945.

  • @DanSaw120285 Try 1942.. Doolittle Raid.

  • Comment removed

  • @ca194216 With all respect to your grandparents, they only preserved the empires of a bunch of Europeans...the Brits and the French mostly and made a bunch of US industrialists rich. In actuality, FDR traded their lives for US "opportunity" in both political power and industrial wealth. Germany could not invade Britain in WW2, they could not invade us.

The sad fact is the 300,000 Americans died for foreign "interests", not freedom.

We are a nation of easily manipulated fools.

  • Go figure 22 people are terrorist.

  • "We have done nothing but fill an enemy with terrible resolve..."

    - Isoroku Yamamoto, plotter of Pearl Harbor attack, December 1941 -- KIA over Pacific, 1943.

  • I understand he was dealing with something difficult, but he expanded government like no other, and interned Japanese Americans who were completely innocent. He get's no respect from me.

  • @SamTheRubberMan On the other hand, the Japanese would not have simply interned people, they would have treated everyone the same way they treated the Chinese.......

  • jon voights voice is better had far more inflections

  • @posidenrocks A Japenese Commander said " I fear we have Awoken a sleeping Dragon " - After the attack on pearl harbor

  • @ElderKickass not a commander an admiral. admiral yamamoto

  • @datrumaniac -- Well i have no respect for the japanese army at the time so i know its not historicly accurate but who cares , hes a jap thousands of their men killed themselves

  • @ElderKickass your point being if anything our actions to end the war were far worse than the japanese actions that brought us into the war at least they only targeted military targets were didnt even follow our own R.O.Es when we nuked not one but 2 civlian cities both full of innocent women and children wheres your justification for that?

  • @datrumaniac You fight a war to win not to play fair , They started it we ended it simple as that

  • @ElderKickass i was arguring that point what i was saying was that you cant hate an whole people who have been defeated and you really cant be a hypocrite about war when all they did is fight it the same war you mention about not being fair

  • @ElderKickass And back to the point is THEY started it with pearl harbor , we did nothing to them , we ended it at Hiroshima and Nakasaki

  • @ElderKickass "I fear we have awoken a sleeping giant"*

  • Mr.Haizzer you are a person that deserves immediate deportation to whatever rock you crawled from under. You are the idiot, and anyone that reads your post will immediately recognize that fact. Please go back to your own country you sorry, rotten, S.O.B. and may your soul rot in HELL.

  • hirohito created 22 accounts and disliked this

  • great video great president.... if roosevelt was still president america would be in a better condition than what it is now

  • @WW2expert1

    Understatment of the century.

  • @rrrevan wow thats all you got because basicly you trying to say roosevelt was the worst president

  • @WW2expert1

Were you drunk when you wrote that?

First I agree with you by saying your declaration that the US would be better today under FDR is an understatement (aka the US would be much much much better off with FDR)

Then you accuse me of saying Roosevelt was the worst president ever...what?????? Read carefully and while sober before posting responses please

  • @rrrevan i will laugh when some kids mom or dad sees your comment and yells at you for saying that kind of language XD

  • @WW2expert1

And I'll stop laughing when you make some fucking sense

some kids mom or dad? that kind of language?

  • This was when America had it's TOUGHEST generation of Americans...They will inspire us forever...

  • i memorised this speech :) ... japs here ..

  • @redjones Amen! R I P Grandpa "V" Infantry, BIG RED ONE WWII. Two bronze stars.

  • @redjones i must fully agree with you. FUCK YEAH 1940S USA HAD BALLS! they were in a hell of a war . They must had balls. R.I.P to all soldiers who died in that war. Soldiers now can kiss my ass, going to a country to take oil... pshh. back then they fought for their fucking country, not for stupid fossil fuel gas.

  • @Church96 But we're planning on having that oil so we can be the last country in the world with oil reserves so we can be the last with a functioning military, and so we can keep so many things in the U.S. cheap.

  • @GeneralWAS hows that going for u though.. things havent been cheap for a long time. Fossil fuel is running out. Sooner or later, the only gas we will have, is the gas in our cars. Thats all.

  • @Church96 I understand where your going and I can agree with you, I'm just calling how it seems. I think we should just finish what we started, with getting rid of communism so we can be taken seriously again.

  • how can you tell if someones american?

they have "faggot" "pussey" "you people" something about going back to your country, something about a righteous cause, spelling mistakes or all of the above in their comment.

Congrats, your country is proud of you, keeping up the stereotype that americans are uneducated, ignorant cunts.

Sadest part is they're either 13 year olds with delusions of patriotism or 23 year olds with delusions of patriotism. Try the army shitforbrains! you'll learn sometihng

  • @smac4494 im american and i love that statement smac

  • Pearl Harbor was an inside job concocted by the Democrats to justify invading Germany.

  • The greatest U.S Democrat President in history

  • an also even tho united states were in piece with that nation, the fucking americans cut oil transports to them was this an accident? idk

  • i think all purto ricans shold go back to there tropical island. there would be less crime here

  • @tefmpa42 Nice grammar there. You might wanna concentrate on school instead of making dumb comments on youtube.

  • Play this at the same time.

    /watch?v=Z0kGAz6HYM8

  • who in gods name would dislike this?!

  • Umm dude you messed up at the beggining its Dec 7 1941. Just sayin

  • @tt84988 This speech was given the day after the attack on pearl harbor though, so his date of this address was correct.

  • @VictorAUlloa You are a dumb ass sucker. Roosevelt was an illuminati scum. Every war in the world was intentional and started by the international banking system for the purpose of making profits while adding to the national debt of all countries. Roosevelt even had family members on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank. How stupid and naive the American people are. Fuck Roosevelt the wolf in sheep’s clothing!

  • @VictorAUlloa I love the US too but the evidence that FDR not only knew about the attack but took steps to provoke Japan and then withheld information from the commanders at Pearl till after the attack is overwhelming. Japan didn't want to go to war with us. We should never have had to fight Japan. That makes FDR and those who new about the attack before hand cold blooded murderers.

  • @356butch Maybe the war was invoked to improve the U.S. economy. Remember there was an "economic depression" during that time. The war created jobs, reduced unemployment, and developed new technologies. But the longer you stay in a war the more debt you create for yourself -- that's why you have to get in and get out. FDR is the only U.S. president that served 3 terms.

  • @356butch

You make me sick....The economy was running strong through 41 once FDR reinstated government spending. Not quiet at 1936 levels, but still very strong. The US had no economic reason to provoke Japan...

Japan didn't want to go to War?!?- then why did they sink a clearly marked destroyer (USS Panay) 4 years earlier?

Does the coordinated precision of Pearl Harbor suggests a country reluctant to go to war?? Spare us your nonsense - no accredited historian believes that.

  • @rrrevan I'm sorry you're not feeling well...perhaps it's from drinking all that Kool Aid. I find it interesting that you should bring up the Panay incident. It was not a destroyer as you say but a very small gun boat and except for a US flag painted on her deck, was NOT clearly marked. The Japs issued an apology and payed restitution for her accidental sinking. Contrary to your statement, nearly all accredited historians believe this. The evidence is overwhelming. Study! You only look a fool.

  • @356butch

FDR didn't see Japan as a priority. He was preoccupied with Europe.

Ironically for a "cold blooded murderer", FDR lectured his cabinet on the folly of cutting off Oil when JP looked to invade southern indo china (You can find Morgenthau's own quotes in the book FDR by JeanSmith) and only announced that licenses be issued on a case by case basis for petro shipments

Acheson towed the hard line on an oil embargo by defying FDR's orders and freezing all Japanese funds

  • @VictorAUlloa

And you would not be allowed in the US if you were immigrating. Learn the language of the land properly before you spew vile against others.

  • @VictorAUlloa While I agree with you, your English could use some work.

  • @VictorAUlloa mr roosevelt could suck my dick and your white ass can go back to europe

  • @DeaflyBlind SHut up, kid, you don't know what you're talking about. Keep you're mouth shut.

  • @DeaflyBlind way to represent us.

  • @surshot56 represent who?

  • @DeaflyBlind you're not very bright. Look at what you said to VictorAUlloa then look at my post to you, then put the pieces together boy.

  • @VictorAUlloa I'm RIGHT there with you, I love America!

  • @VictorAUlloa

i agree, i'd love to see these haters say it to my face, i'd give them a face full of AR15. that's right foreigners, in america, we can own assault riles. jelly? ;)

  • @lordteapot Thanks, I'd love some jelly.... None for the foreigners though...(:

  • 20 people are Japanese

  • @VamBiggush not nice man

  • @navy941 buddy you do realize thats the day the speech was made so you learn about history and listen 2 the full speech

  • Dosn't he look like Jason Segel?

  • @guitarmessiah95 HAAHAHA LAWL

That is prob the funniest thing i heard today.

    P.S. HIMYM is awesome!

  • We need an FDR today.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • If you knew anything you would know that we where just getting into any negotiations with Japan's government. We ended trade with Japan in the late 1800's. The Japanese knew and they told their Emperor that they could only fight the United States for 6 months before they ran out. Oil is also the reason why the Japanese invaded China. Their amount of oil had nothing to do with the United States.

  • they started with Pearl Harbor those sons of bitches had it comin USA rules

  • fdr was a facist the new deal was a joke

  • Seriously, who fucking cares about Pearl Harbour? It was only 2,300 people. Compare that to French/British/Russian/German losses in either of the wars. It's nothing! This was a minor incident in the grand scheme of things.

  • @TheLiberalKnight Yea except these are human beings, human lives we are talking about you ignorant douchebag

  • @ryanbradleyrankin Well, Truman killed 300,000 Japanese civilizans afterwards. So, I am missing something?

  • @TheLiberalKnight The Japs killed over 10 million civilians in China alone, and millions more in Indonesia and Indochina so I'd say they got let off pretty lightly. And I'd say the Japs should be thankful that it was the Americans who occupied their country and not the Chinese or Koreans who would have punished every Japanese man, woman and child for the atrocities committed on their homelands.

  • @TheAussieNationalist Two wrongs do not make a right. 300,000 Japanese civilizans died, not soldiers. That was Truman's fault. With Russian support, he could have had the Japs by late 1945, and that's no exaggeration.

  • @TheLiberalKnight I don't deny that the Japs could have been easily defeated without the nuclear bomb, but a land invasion would have resulted tens of thousands of Allied lives, and, especially if the Russias were involved, would have resulted in at least as many civillian deaths as what happeded with the A bomb. So the bomb saved more lives than what it took.

  • @TheAussieNationalist You're still ignoring the essential fact that they would have been SOLDIER deaths, whereas the Truman massacre was entirely CIVILIANS. How can anyone be upset about things like 9/11 or other terrorist attacks but think THIS is OK?

  • @TheLiberalKnight Firstly SOLDIERS are people too! And as I already pointed out, civilian casualties would have been inevitable if a land invasion took place anyway, especially if the Russians were involved. Plus the Japs conscripted civilians into their army.

And pushing our culture on Japan was no disaster. It resulted in Japan being the friendly, peaceful and democratic society it is today. How arrogant of us Westerners!

  • @TheLiberalKnight How can anyone be upset about things like 9/11 or other terrorist attacks but think THIS is OK?

1It achieved SOMETHING, which was defeating Japan without an invasion, so it saved more lives than what it took. unlike 9/11 which achieved NOTHING other satisfying the desires of a sick, twisted Islamic fundamentalist.

2 It also demonstrated to the Soviet Union the power of the A bomb, which may have been what deterred them from invading Western Europe.

  • @TheAussieNationalist Don't make me laugh

  • @TheAussieNationalist Not necessarily western Europe, but it sure as hell kept them out of Japan. And I think Americans and the Japanese should be happy about that considering what we KNOW Russian did to Germany. And you are right about the transition to Democracy. Whether you think dropping the a-bomb was right or wrong is was still a brutal action. But, out of the ashes of Hiroshima and Nagasaki rose a better Japan. That stands as a credit to both Nations.

  • @TheLiberalKnight Americans are lucky to have a skewed view of what war means because we have not had to fight one on our own soil for 150yrs. We do not understand civilian casualties happen because no one alive now has ever witnessed it. Civilian deaths are a part of war. Germany's bombing of Britain, our bombing of Germany and Japan all targeted civilians as a psychological weapon. Mark my words, the Japanese and Germans would have done the same to us had they been close enough.

  • @nhall022 Asboloutely, America has never been under the threat of invasion therefore it didn't contribute much to either world war (much, much less in WW1 than WW2, though) except to preserve it's economic self interest. It was a psychological weapon, of course. But that is not an excuse to mass slaughter 300,000 Japanese civilizans.

  • @TheLiberalKnight You need to take an American history class. The reason why we were attacked at pearl harbor was because we went AGAINST our economic self interest and stopped trading with the Japanese. The Japanese realized that they could not win their wars in the pacific without the raw materials we were supplying them. So, they decided to take them from us by force, killing hundreds of thousands of people in the process. Do your homework before you start throwing around accusations.

  • @nhall022 Are you taking the piss? First of, Pearl Harbour did not kill hundreds of thousands
