he said "you wouldnt shoot a man without giving him something to eat" and then the outlaw guy agrees??? are you kidding me.... then psychologist matt tells her to just forget what happened and bottle it all up inside.... this is one whacky episode
She's pretty, simple, and a lot cuter than Kitty. No fuss. No milage, and a lot less baggage. He could have her all to himself. She's a loner. No competition with a bunch of drunk cowboys, and no competition with a career. She'd stay home, cook, and do whatever else he told her to do. Matt,...marry that gal and get out of Dodge! Turn in your badge, buy a small farm, and forget about ole' bossy, headstrong Kitty!
Kitty never bosses Matt around. She only bosses strangers in the saloon, because they need it. She can take care of herself. But her heart belongs to Matt, she has proven that countless times. And she doesn't have any "baggage" (I take it you mean "emotional baggage"), Kitty is a lady. Belle on the other hand has seen her father murdered, she was abused by those killers, now THAT's emotional bagagge! "Don't get bitter" says Matt to her. And young or old the heart counts! Matt + Kitty
Kitty is too independent. She's a career woman. I'll bet she'd be hard to live with. Sure - Belle has the emotional scars, but she's too young to be set in her ways. Matt is patient, and he would work with her. He'd be a father figure, and she'd let him mold her. With Kitty, I have a feeling it's "My way, or the highway".
Kitty should consider Doc Adams. Like her, he has that 'get down to business' personality. Once married, they could become the power couple of Dodge.
I see your point although I still disagree. Funny that you mention Doc Adams! Because there is one episode when she cuddles him softly and gives him a look. And another one, when Doc actually PROPOSES on Kitty (jokingly, of course, but still). I don't recall the episodes' titles right now but they are uploaded on Youtube.
@TheSunmanho Kitty has no baggage? She hangs out in bar all day drinking. She pursues a man for 20 years who won't make a commitment. Lot's a baggage with Miss Kitty.

Agree by today's standards MD must have VERY low testosterone level to not ring the Belle, buuut this was the 50s, so it's out the doorMatt.

Belle told matt to get out of dodge after he told her he wasn't the marrying kind. p.s. reading between the lines. Thank's for for the uploads.

Interesting drama near the end. If I was Dillon, I'd turn in my badge and marry her.
