This is Rod the guitar player, Thanks for the kind words. I just started playing again with George Rumbol form the Dead End Kids, Mark Evans from Heavens Edge, Jack Kelly from Wintergreen, and Chris Nerone from Motornature. Our band is called "Diamond Dogs" and we do a David Bowie show. We will be a club called McStews in Levittown, PA on 2/16 and back at the Pennant east (formerly Dick Lees) on March 19th. Hope to see you there! Bring friends, it will be like old times
@Rodmarr1 Rod it's Tess..i've seen the pics and I'm so glad to see you..I'm friends with Mark, Zuff. and Guy..you look great..all of you guys are so talented..glad to see all of you still having a good time..rock on...
I used to go to Dick Lees and see Money. Great band. The 70's and 80's had some great bands in South Jersey and Philly. Witness, Pegasus, Wintergreen, Arety, Crystal Ship...The list goes on and on. The competition was fierce. This is when dedicated musicians existed, unlike today. I miss those days.
I worked at The Penalty Box and got to be friends with these guys in the late '70's and early '80's. I got to see and hear them at least 10 days a month for 6 years. To this day, still the most talented local band I've ever heard!
Money was always my favorite. Over the years I told countless stories in Hawaii & the West Coast of my days growing up and seeing this band. I am a singer now and $MONEY$ was the reason. Thanks.
Money definitely was a top band in those days. I recall a night at Dick Lee's (Pennant East) when Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora showed up after playing a concert in Philly. They were their to trying to help Money produce a new single. Jon & Richie actually went on stage and played a set of their own music. Great night! Miss those days.
Jiggs46, you need to shut your face! This is my uncle's band, and they were number 1 in Philly. You wouldn't know real music if it bit you in the ass.
Oh my god, this my cousin's husband and I only wish I was old enough at the time ( I missed it by just a few years) to see them play live. I am so grateful I can see this now after all these years.
no need to be rude - as a matter of fact the band was an A list band in the tri-state area for well over a decade and was revered by many. so cool your tool fool.
You have the right to have your opinion ... nothing wrong with that ... no matter how wrong or misinformed you are.
You know they are doing some great medical advances in transplants .. maybe they can help you with a taste transplant cause it seems that you lost whatever u may or maynot have had.
Money was always a sure fire great show ... and always ... on the MONEY!!
Very impressive cover. The guitarist sounds like a cross between Ritchie Blackmore and Randy Rhoads. I wouldn't go as far to say that Queen couldn't perform Bohemian Rhapsody...its just that they chose not to. Brian May actually could sing, he's quite a gifted singer now. John never sang. That was done for just a look and inclusion. I'm interested in seeing what else this band called "Money" can do.
dude they "chose not to" because they couldn't do the studio version justice - there's an old saying, "a man's got to know his limitations" -C. Eastwood -dirty harry
My favorite was when you guys would do "Icarus- Borne on the Wing of Steel" by Kansas. Your guitar, Larry's voice with that "big" Hammond Leslie organ sound, was truely THE BEST. Thanks for the great memories!
Money was the best band I ever had the privilege to perform with. Rod, Larry and (perfect-pitch) Zuff were incredible musicians. Guy Partin here, still rockin, singin, and performing somewhere in Central PA - Still have all my hair! lol - just not quite as long - thanks to everyone who posted these kind remarks..sure wish we could get back together again for one last curtain call! :c)
thanks my friend - the older I get the more I miss this band!!!!! Just had to quit the band I was in for 2 years - looking for something new again! - onward throguh the fog - remember all those games of centipede and milipede? -good times, good times...hehehe
This is Andy...I was the bass player for the David Christopher band from 1982 to 1988. This version is excellent! What was the bass player's name? I remember Rod, Larry and Zuff but not him. Great memories...
this band just got better with age.And Yes JD we all took it for granted. Lucky to have a few live shows of our Zep and Tull set recorded .. Jack Kolber Drummer Arety 75-80
Just wish one of us would have filmed the "Wall" show you guys were doing! I guess back then we all took it for granted that it would go on forever.... sad..
hey man, no diss to Queen but in reality only Freddie and the drummer could sing - Deacon and May could not....they would play the pre-recorded bohem. through their PA live, then come in playing when the guitar solo started - Freddie would end it on the piano...
of course this is a good cover... this was taken in the 70's/80's.. thats when ppl actually had talent

Money was certainly a top band back in the day. Money, Pegasus, Stitches, David Chistopher Band, Witness, Energized...all great bands, all "A" list.
