does anyone know what ep was it, when a chef, ithink an iron chef, actually put a salt bowl or something, along with Kishi's portion, in case she wanted it more salty?
@Jikk yes i understand that they are experts at what they do (the chefs), however you get a panel of judges to be fuckin critics but they always ALWAYS AAAAALLLLWAAAAYYYSSS say the same thing. Fuck face. I'm saying why put a dumb ass actress to be a judge? what the fuck does she know about food besides "ooh its soo good!" again, FUCK FACE.
@noyzizi I've seen some episodes where they just rip into some chefs. I've seen one where they told Morimoto that it was disgusting. I remember one time Kurimoto told Sakai that his salmon ice cream was disgusting.
@noyzizi o_O well chua lam, the chinese critic is veryyy picky and actually does get pretty bold in what he has to say. But ur right, there are no judged that will scream out in anger and malice about somethign they didn't like.
@psYnel But Michiba sometimes made a few new dishes too...sometimes not pure japanese ;o ...i think he was the one who said somethign like...an ingredient can be used in 1000 different ways...
@blackred666 XDDDD i tried really hard to hear that in what he said...but nah, you'd have to have someone ask you if you heard him say "sit down bitches"...in order to even come to close to hearing it for yourself. if that makes sense lol.
i think he said "sore wa, hapyo shimasu. " not sure if he said "hapyo" lol sounded like it.
I think Kishi tries to look beyond personal preferences of how the dish should taste and consider the preparation and thought process that went into making a dish. That's why i find her the most professional judge.
the reason y da challenger didnt win was well da score and he didnt highlight da eel in da dish he stayed only on rice dats all he was worried about but regardless there both great chefs and i always like 2 see morimotos battles.
While I also dislike sloppy grammar/ignorant typing, you can't go around insulting people for it. Let people type however properly or poorly they choose. >:[
they should have never had kishi on the show. she is annoying and votes for the iron chef every single time. i remember when she claimed some iron chef dish was inedible and yet still gave him the win.
@blaze4me well, she tried to prove that the iron chefs were not doing enough as chefs...when she had one of her favorite chefs "show them the ropes" of stretching the boundaries of cooking.
She didnt judge the match. the iron chef still won. but good battle!
I think Morimoto was relieved and tired, as if winning or losing was no matter to him...he just seemed like it was just just another game show and he just did his job...yes it was a real-long running show for him
challenger was ripped off. they vote for morimoto because he gives off the impression of being "new" and like avant-garde in food or whatever. he's the fashion. the art of the first guy is unparalleled and if he had more time, he would've definately beat morimoto. chefs like morimoto are a dime a dozen in the USA ... he always loses on iron chef america anyways.
Great battle! Thx once again as always Archo~ By the way...from 1 great cooking show fan to another...plz check out this youtube user by the name of "dotchi" Archo...check his videos...take it as a gift from me to u for all ur great work! Cheers~ :)
lol friggin kishi. if it weren't for that one point it would have been a over-time battle. otherwise good battle between the two.

I wish Handa won...He should have replaced Morimoto because Handa's cooking is pure Japanese. I'm a purist myself.
psYnel 1 year ago 4
@psYnel I agree. Handa is one of my favorite challengers. He'd stick to his style, even in the face of eminent defeat.
chefkoo 1 year ago
@psYnel i think part of Morimoto's position on ICJ came from the fact he had roots in America, where the show was popular too...
no coincidence that ICJ transitioned to ICA....that was the darkest day. lol
